Great holiday to remember!
We stayed in the Iberostar Las Dalias for 2 Weeks at the beginning of July 2012. On arrival we were given champagne and orange juice for the kids, when we first got to our room we were not impressed as it didn't have a great view and was in serious need of updating so we upgraded our room and moved from floor 5 to the very top floor, needless to say it was the best thing we did the rooms were very up-to-date and the view was most certainly spectacular. One of the main highlights of the holiday was the entertainment team 'Star Anamacion' they made sure you weren't bored at any moment of the day having activities for all to enjoy, it was also an opportunity to try things that we hadn't done before including things like archery, shooting and various sports games too, they even had a foam party a few of the mornings for both the children and the adults to enjoy. They also perform in shows 3 evenings of the week and have local acts coming in from outside of the hotel for the rest of the evenings in the week, before most of the shows in the evening they take part in 'the mini disco' with the children teaching the children fun dances and then letting the children meet the hotel's mascot 'Smiley the dog' after shows they are happy enough to come and interact and socialise with everybody. The food was really nice and the waiters and bar staff were happy to help you, they were always happy and funny also. There is also a shopping centre opposite the hotel and it is around a 10minute walk to the beach and shops across the front. Overall this is definitely one of the best family holidays we have been on and we will definitely be going to this hotel again.

Much better than expected at the Las Dalias
Went to this hotel just after New Year on 3 January 14 for a week and found it very good, it was busy however the staff coped with it no problem. The meals were good better than we expected and the selection extensive so there was always something for even the pickiest of eaters. The wine with the meals was decent and you could get a bottle of white or red if there were a few of you at the table. Why oh why do they chill the red wine we asked for red wine at room tempreture and this was no problem.
I must admit the rooms are a bit tired looking however this in no way affected our holiday as we didn't spend much time in them and they were kept spotless and cleaned every day, might look at the towels although clean they really had seen their day and were a bit rough, again not a deal breaker.
The drinks served within the all-inclusive package were branded drinks however you did need to ask in the first instance for these and after that the bartender seemed to remember.
One of the pools the larger one was freezing and you would need to be pretty brave to go in and stay in this however the other pool was fine and was a pleasure to go into.
Now to the sun bed run in the morning, this is a right pain that grown people have to stand in a line and wait with baited breath for the chains to be dropped to grab a sun bed. Some people had it down to a T they would run along the sun beds dealing their towels out like playing cards as they went along sometimes reserving as many as 12 beds, it would have been laughable if not a little sad the seriousness that all this was taken in and has the potential to cause conflict and argument between guests. This happens in the winter months as there are areas at the pools that get no sun until well into the afternoon, I don't know if this would happen in the summer. What the answer is I don't know but I know that you can feel quite intimidated if you happen to get a sun bed someone else wants. Our friends next to us put their towels down on 2 beds and a woman came up and took the towel off one of the beds and threw it to the side as she wanted that particular bed so she could have 6 beds together our friends were still standing at the beds could have been a confrontation however my friends just moved to the row in front, as not worth the hassle.
I would return to this hotel as it was good value for money and is in a good position.

Avery bad experiance and a dissapoitment in Las Dalias
I have been going to this hotel for 6 years and I have never had a worst holiday in this hotel. It started when we arrived by coach the barriers could not be opened and the coach stopped on an incline, and as my wife is disabled she could not get down the bottom step so I had to put her over my shoulder to get her off.
Then we were given a room overlooking the Motorway which was a complete surprise as when we booked there was no access to book a pool view and knowing this hotel charges extra for a pool view I phoned Thomas Cook who told me it was included.
Then the client in this hotel has spiralled downwards such as STAG PARTIES totalling in excess of 20 Spanish men taking up all the pool bar area and this happened on both weekends.
The pool area has no non-smoking areas resulting in us taking in second hand smoke for 2weeks.
Then in the dining room at night the standard of dress was a lot to be desired.

relaxing winter sun break. AI was great value.
We both had a very enjoyable stay at the Iberstar Dalias in Costa Adeje. The staff were very good. The location was good for us but for those that may have difficulties with steps and hills might be a problem. We will be returning to Tenerife as this was the second time we have enjoyed the Island.

poor rooms, good food
Hotel was ok although the rooms were not 4*, more 2* at best, the best must of cost about £5 out of the bargin shop. The other problem was that you were not allowed to wear shorts to dinner even if they were smart shorts etc, although then for some reason you were allowed to wear track suit bottoms, surely smart shorts are smarter than people wearing track suit bottoms or jogging paints for dinner? The rule was inforced but the rule about not allowing to reserve a sun lounger was not. Also never heard a word from our rep, we had to go and find him on the last day to find out when our pick up time for our flight was. the flight was then delayed by 4 hours
