Very enjoyable holiday in Tenerife
Having just returned from a week in Bahia Principe Tenerife after recent holidays at 5 star resorts in Dominican Republic, Mexico and The Maldives my party were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms very comfortable. Having read previous reviews on trip advisor detailing very hard beds we found them very comfortable. I guess this is personal preference. The selection and quality of the food in the buffet and a la carte restaurants were very good and did not seem at all repetitive during the week, however I would have preferred a better selection at the pool snack bar for lunch. It consisted of hot dogs, pizza, toasted sandwiches, crisps and olives and was the same every day. The sister hotel Costa Adeje had more choice and if this was offered at the Tenerife would greatly improve the facilities. Comments on trip advisor also mentioned a shortage of sunbeds, we did not find this to be the case but we were down reasonably early every day and at the start of the week the hotel was quieter. As it got busier later in the week I can see this could be an issue particularly in high season. We also felt like we were being pushed off them too early by staff moving them back into position way before pool area closed every evening. Great selection of all-inclusive drinks but rather than be available so early in the day I would have preferred bars to be open until at least midnight. All in all though we really enjoyed this holiday and I would consider returning if I was looking for another all-inclusive short haul break.

Great family holiday at Bahia Príncipe Costa Adaje Tenerife
Buffet food and drink for all our family was excellent. We had a relaxing holiday with the children happy to play all day in the pool. We would definitely go back as the whole holiday was great for all 4 adults and 2 children. Did not use kids club as they were never bored. Checking in at hotel for the flight home although 20 euros each was well worth it as we did not see our cases till we landed and had avoided the airport queues just going straight through passport control.
Staff at hotel were all friendly and helpful.

Brilliant hotel, shame about the flight.
The reviews are representative of our experience. There are always niggles with the hotel but they do try their very best to please.
The sunbed problem is always present; the answer is more of them and parasols that work.
The only real complaint is the flight. There have been no good reviews about this at all yet nothing ever changes. This is more about the airline business than the holiday company. Only legislation will change this.
The seats are built for children. There is no leg room for adults and the table doesn't come down if you have a waist of 40 inches or more. If the person in front of you decides to recline their seat then ...
As is usual practice now with airlines the cabin staff are constantly badgering you to part with more money for different things.
Although you have paid for a meal and drinks the cabin crew initially spend an hour selling the drinks before you get yours.
You are glad to get off but then you have to find your hotel coach in the massive car park.
Internet should be free. Most hotels now do this. It's not exactly superfast broadband.
Please go here, it's better than most.

Quiet relaxing holiday
Was a bit concerned about the location, but once at the hotel we were very impressed with the cleanliness and feeling of the hotel. the food was great, my only small complaint was that sometimes it could have been hotter, but the choice and quality was brilliant. our room was fine, maybe could have done with a bit of updating, but the maid was fantastic and the beds were some of the comfiest we have sleep in. whilst we were there the television was replaced with new flat screens and the curtains, bed spreads, nets and shower curtains were washed and put back in a day.
The grounds are kept very clean and the gardens are immaculate.
Only one of the pools was heated and its a bit of a shame really as the wonderful infinity pool , the Jacuzzi and the children's pool were absolutely freezing and no one used them which e though was a bit of a waste.
Not much to do in the evenings, the shows were, but the sound system is terrible, if you sit in the middle its fine , but at the sides of the room was awful.
This hotel is fine for older couples a few places to walk to, but not much else there.
The staff were really friendly and bent over backward to accommodate you
we would go back to this hotel and for us that's quite unusual as we like to try various places.

staying in this hotel is more better for older people
as the hotel is far from the city we needed to spend a lot of time for traveling by bus.

A relaxing break for New Year
Great service from the friendly staff , all inclusive drinks mainly self service but staff will mix cocktails, grounds are well kept and litter free. The entertainment is on a take it or leave it basis so it is your choice. The main bar closes at 11 pm but there are nearby bars where you can pay for drinks until late.
My main grumble is that the Wifi is poor and costs an extra €25 pw should be better for this price or free.
However we hope to return next winter.
