Great Relaxing Holiday
First visit to Lanzarote and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Room was really comfortable, hotel very impressive and the food was varied and seemingly never ending ! Enjoyed the entertainment most nights, and had lots of choice with the drinks that were on offer in the inclusive package,
All staff were friendly and efficient and Paul, the Thomas Cook Rep, was lovely.
The weather was plenty warm enough for us and we just chilled in and around the Pools, or though there were organised activities for all ages if that was your thing.
Met some lovely people and already planning our next visit !

Really lovely hotel in a fantastic location - just over the promenade from the beach in a quiet area but a short taxi ride (or a 30 minute walk) from the centre of Puerto Del Carmen.
As we have a five year old, we just wanted somewhere close to the beach with a good pool and plenty of things to keep him entertained and the Seaside Los Jameos Playa was perfect.
We just had the basic, ground level room but it was fine for us as it was clean and an OK size (we were only sleeping in it). If I was being picky, I'd say the one thing that was lacking was tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Excited young children get up very early and you could really do with a cuppa to keep you going until breakfast is served!
Food was excellent, plenty of choice with a different theme for dinner every night. Would suggest dining early, particularly during school holidays, as the restaurant gets very busy and you may have to queue for a table.
It is worthy of it's official four star rating (Thomas Cook's five star rating is a little generous) and we will definitely stay there again.

FABULOUS RELAXING HOLIDAY IN LANZAROTE
We have just returned from a great Thomas Cook holiday in Los Pocilos Lanzarote where we stayed at the Los Jameos Playa Hotel 4*. We have stayed at this hotel on many previous occasions, our last being eight years ago, and it is still a first class hotel with first class staff and management. The location of the hotel is superb in that it is about ten minutes from the airport and in a quiet area with a few shops and bars nearby. The hotel still has it's high standards on dress code for evening meals and has not given in to those people who state that they did not know, what a load of rubbish, if they have been to four star hotels then they would know as they all have this rule, and in any case, most decent people like to dress properly for dinner, especially when the hotel has made the effort. My only observation regarding the hotel overall is that the standard of clientele has deteriorated and I am not a 'snob'. The manners and habits observed from certain clients was absolutely atrocious and instead of having animation for games etc. they should have provided classes instructing certain clients on manners and etiquette. The flights were first class and the procedure at Lanzarote Airport compared to Tenerife was much more organised. Finally there were too many children, the schools in Northern Ireland must have been empty and their parents need to learn them how to behave especially in the Restaurant.

Just returned from a weeks stay in the above hotel and feel the need to clarify a few issues. The hotel and location very good although there are not enough waiting staff and you have a long wait for drinks. It is advertised as All Inclusive but also does half board and there are only 4 cocktails available on all incl you have to pay for any others not listed even though they are the same price.
Food not always hot enough although the selection was surperb.
Air con. in the room absolutely useless and as we were on the ground floor unable to leave the door open at night.
Entertainment at night not great although plenty of bars nearby but then have to pay for drink.
Towels are left on the beds and guests do not appear until after lunch which is very unfair on families who could use sunbeds.
Overall a great holiday but there are must better All inclusive hotels in the area offering a greater variety.

Great hotel, fabulous staff and wonderful location.
A beautiful hotel, with friendly hardworking and attentive staff. A great selection of food and drinks. Beautiful grounds and right next to a long promenade, perfect for walking, cycling or jogging. All allowing for a relaxing and peaceful holiday.

We had a great time at the Jameos hotel. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Food was very good, lots of choice but restaurant can get very crowded. Main disappointment was the pools. The water was very cold, especially for children.
Good flight times and helpful rep at resort.
