Amazing family holiday in the Riosol.
We have just returned from a week at the Riosol, brilliant, amazing, beautiful, already looking for the chance to go back. We had a one bedroom apartment overlooking the beach/ harbour / sea, absolutely gorgeous views. Two teenage boys, we thought the room may be a bit tight...but no, there was plenty of room, , this place is so clean, maid service 5 times a week. All the staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. The pool area was fab, again with amazing views, plenty for teenagers to do, shop on site is very well stocked and fairly cheap prices. The Europa center is two minute walk with lots of eating / drinking places, to walk down to the center takes about 20mins, nice walk down hill, pretty tough walking back up, but a taxi is around 3 to 4 euros, well worth it. Amadores beach is worth a visit. Best holiday so far, can't wait to go back x

Hreat holiday. The staff are great always friendly.
The location and apartment was great.
The only thing was Thomas Cook forgot to pick us up for our transfer, after calling them they then sent a coach to pick up 6 people drove us to another hotel where we waited for 15 minutes for a minibus. We then had to transfer our bags and be driven to the airport arriving an 1hr and 15 minutes before departure.
Reps at airport were not concerned. then we paid 54 euros for extra leg room that we were not the first few rows and was not worth the money
Think we will think twice before booking with Thomas Cook again.

Excellent holiday in Gran Canaria
We spent 9 nights in mid September at Riosol in Gran Canaria. Supposed to be 3* but felt that it was underrated. Apartment very good size, well equipped and very clean. Had a couple of minor problems whilst we were there but these were dealt with very quickly and satisfactory.
Only critiscism is that the accommodation would greatly improve if there was air conditioning installed as standard, would gladly have paid extra if this was the case.

great holiday, well worth a return visit next year.
if you are going in july/august dont be fooled by internet temperatures. we just returned from two weeks in 40+ degrees. it was great!! both our teenage boys loved it...........be prepared for some sweating if you go to puerto rico beach......its about 900 steps from there to the pool, but a taxi is only 3.50, you must make the ten minute walk to amadores beach.....absolutely beautiful, anyway, we are going back next year.....cant wait, yippee :-)

Overall we had another great break in Porto Rico at the RioSol. The only problem was that the first room we were offered was really bad with no view and a very small balcony! The whole point of the RioSol is the (usually) generous balconies and the fantastic views across the harbour. This was our third trip to the RioSol and its the views and balcony that bring us back. The room was changed immediately (well half an hour or so!) so all was well.

my birthday in peurto rico
My husband and I went to peurto rico riosol apartments for my birthday and had a lovely relaxing time. The best part of the holiday was spent around the pool and from our balcony both which had stunning views of the Atlantic. I would recommend the riosol for the views. The only down side was that when we went to the beach we were bombarded with reps from other companies trying to sell excersions and promotions. It was very annoying that it put us off going to the beach and so we stayed by the hotel pool to avoid them. We went to restaurants in the europa centre but were not impressed by the food. We made better food in our apartment and with fab views of the Atlantic (we were at the top of the mountain), it was lovely to eat on our balcony and enjoy the views.
We would definitely recommend the Riosol but were not impressed by the resort of Peurto Rico but if you want a relaxing self catering break with fab views of the Atlantiic this is it!

short break in puerto rico
we stayed at the riosol on a late self catering holiday.our room was extremely good but most rooms in this hotel are unsuitable for people with walking difficulties, as even when using the lift depending on where your room is involves a steep walk or stairs.there is also quite a big difference in the size of balcony.ours was massive but some are dark and tiny.facilities at hotel were fine, each room having their own sunbed and parasol.ideally situated for the europa centre with its restaurants and shops. a highly enjoyable holiday.
