You get what you pay for I can't believe the negative reviews of the Santa Clara, for what you pay this is a great base for a cheap holiday, the rooms are basic and clean (why would you want to spend time in your room anyway) the staff are great especially the guy who runs the pool bar, the Wifi is fine it works at the pool but not in the rooms. both pools are huge and plenty of beds (pool area could do with an update) sun beds are not comfy but go and get yourself a lilo and your sorted. I would recommend the Santa Clara if you like quiet accommodation but close to the Yumbo center for entertainment. July 29, 2014
just average 5m to the nearest mini market only for residents over 700m to the nearest shops and bars and more than 1km to beach not suitable for people with walking difficulties poolbar opens 10am to 6pm no entertainment whats so ever April 7, 2014
Really lovely I stayed in the Santa Clara Bungalows with 3 friends. The apartment was really lovely and very clean. You had to pay for a kettle and tv remote, we just boiled a pan of water and didn't watch tv. There was a full sized fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and 2 ring ceramic hob. No hairdryer though. There were 2 doors, one led out onto a patio, table and chairs and the other with a hanger to dry your bits. The complex was lovely and the reception always had something cheery to say. There are 2 pools with lots of sun-beds, the only down side was that the sun-beds were chained together and you couldn't turn them around when the sun moved..... Maybe they should unlock them during the day and chain them at night (we guessed they didn't want guests taking them to their patio's). One of the pools had a ramp down so was ideal for children, I will be taking my 3 year old Grandson there later in the year. There was a Jacuzzi and a small pool bar which did quality food at a good price. Great location too. It was 5 euro's to Aqualand in a taxi and the I would definelty recommend the moonlight cinema, again a fiver in a taxi. January 19, 2014
Would not stay again Even though we had a good Holiday returning to our santa Clara bungalow 248 was a let down - I would rate just about 1 star - we had to cope with the smell of drians day & night inside and outside not pleasant - WIFI don't bother you could only get this if you were at the edge of the so called bar/cafe wait till you are off site - January 8, 2014
Disaster holiday We had to be moved from the Santa Clara, as the bungelow was filthy, dusty, dirty, The staff were not helpful at all, the maid came in and changed one bed whn there was two getting used, and then she only half changed bedding, and through bedding on the other bed, me and my husband visit the island 4/5 times a year, it's the worst dirty place wev ever stayed, we then got moved by Thomson to rui flammingo. Which was fantastic. October 11, 2012

Ideal choice for September My wife and I had a lovely week's holiday in Playa Del Ingles. The Santa Clara Bungalows are in a good location halfway between the Kasbah & Yumbo centres which are no more than 10 mins walk away and offer plenty choice of bars and restaurants. The lovely beach is approx 15 mins walk. Our 1 bedroom bungalow was very spacious. In a week it was cleaned 6 times, with the towels and bedding changed 3 times. Oddly, there was no kettle (6 euros per week from reception) and no tin opener, but there was a toaster and a coffee maker. The 2 swimming pools were large and well kept with plenty of sun beds always available. On the down side, the reception staff were terrible and very unhelpful the whole week. We mentioned that our ceiling fan in our bedroom did not work and they just did not want to know. With no fan, our room was too hot at night, and that was September so I wouldn't fancy it in the height of summer. Overall though, good accomodation and a very enjoyable week. October 4, 2012
