Lovely Relaxing Break
We chose an 'all-inclusive' holiday. We found the food excellent. The accommodation was also great and the facilities at the hotel Dunas Mirador were also excellent. The entertainment in the evening was OK but we would have preferred to have more professional acts rather that the reps hastily putting something together on 2 nights.
The TV stations cater for the German and French. There were only 3 British channels consisting of 2 news channels and a Disney channel. I feel this needs to be improved. Otherwise everything else was just fine,.

SUNNY AND WARM
We had a great time from start to almost finish, we left Gatwick on time and as we flew we seemed to have gained time and arrived early in Gran Canaria. On reaching our hotel we were welcomed with polite staff, Our suite was clean and a fair size with plenty of room, All suites were very private and in quite ares, All the staff at this hotel were nice and polite and they all made us feel welcolme, The food was plentiful and there was a lot too choose from, The swimming pools were clean and there was plenty of lie beds to go round, Evening entertainment was good fun and the animation team got involved in most things with mini disco to start the evening off and day time entertainment was a laugh, Both my self and the wife wanted a relaxing holiday and we found one here at Dunas Suites.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone it was first class.
On our return there was not enough staff to check us in at the airport , we had no time to buy a hot drink or anything to eat which i found this quite poor.

Autumn Break in Gran Canaria
Excellent hotel and accomadation. The food was of excellent choice well cooked and fresh. The resturant was clean and well serviced. We stayed all inclusive the only draw back was that you could only use the pool bar to obtain your all in clusive drinks.
The pool was really impressive and very clean. The only problem with the hotel was the situation of it on top of a very big hill. This was well served by taxi's but if you wanted to go anywhere you would be limited if you did not use taxis. Overall the hotel and it facilities were very good

dunas mirador, really enjoyed holiday
first impressions of hotel when we arrived were very good. very clean-friendly reception staff and they even offered us food when we arrived at 3am! hotel rooms very clean but no air con and self catering facilities-not even a fridge or sink with glasses or cups which was a little dissapointing, we had to go to the shop and buy our own glasses so we could have a few drinks in our appartment.!!! hotel was always being cleaned-both room and pool area. most staff friendly but a few were quite rude to british and would serve spanish and german guest first. thomas cooks reps very friendly and helpful but resort animation team for the hotel was shocking (not part of thomas cook) overall we had great holiday-we were aware of the location being way from the resort before we booked but this wasnt a problem as taxis only 4 euros. very good value for what we paid.

Good, restful holiday
A bit like the Curate's egg - good in parts. The staff (all of them) could not be more friendly or helpful. The food for the main meals (breakfast, lunch and evening meal) was excellent and varied, but the food for the snacks was exclusively the same (burgers, hot dogs and chips). This really needs to be varied. The room was an apartment as there is a mixture of fully inclusive (us), self-catering and half-board. Whilst there was nothing missing in the apartment, it was rather Spartan and past its "sell-by" date and the beds were rock hard. Cleaning was done every other day and was a bit hit and miss. The towels are in dire need of complete replacement, not for hygiene reasons, but because they are worn out, rock hard and have holes. The pool and general areas were clean and tidy. Howver, the whole complex is in need of some TLC and decoration. Consideration should be given to closing it for a couple of weeks, carrying out all the (often simple and small) repairs that need doing and repainting it totally. Nevertheless, do not be put off. The niggles are generally small and are not that bad. It is well worth a visit. For all but 1 day of our holiday we had a great time. Unfortunately, the day before we left there was an influx of guests. Some of them (unfortunately English) did not bother to control their children, and they made sleep impossible until almost one in the morning and then woke us up at about 4.0am. The Receptionist was understanding and sympathetic, but there was little she could do.
