Overview

Located in the north east, between two bays and beaches, Las Palmas is a world away from the commercial resorts of the south. A city of contrasts, from the atmospheric, compact Vegueta quarter, dating back to 1478, to modern Las Palmas with superb shopping and nightlife making for a vibrant, cosmopolitan city, with narrow cobbled streets lined with cafe bars and great views over the sea.
