excellent value for money holiday in gran canaria
Sun connect mirrador atlantico amadores grand canaria what can you say the staff were really friendly and polite nothing to much trouble for them the animation team kept the kids entertained several times throughout the day and being on the all inclusive package drinks although local brands which you expect are of a reasonable standard as was the food with enough variety too keep the children and ourselves happy for the week if your looking for nightlife puerto Rico is twenty minutes walk or four euro taxi ride away so this is a excellent hotel to base yourself at.
I read some negative reviews before we went in early July 2114 and I honestly don't know what some people expect.

Great family holiday
Just back from a fabulous holiday at the Mirador Atlantico in Los Amadores. I booked this last minute for fractionally more than the cost of a static caravan in Dorset and was so glad I did. I booked a two bedroom apartment, one room was lovely with twin beds and plenty of space and a lovely view. The second room was smaller but perfectly fine. Everything was clean and modern except for the bathroom needing a facelift. On arrival all inclusive guests were ushered up to the restaurant before it closed at 9pm. However, we then joined the queue to check in and waited for over 40 minutes as there was only one member of staff who was very pleasant but slow. In the morning we discovered ants in our room but housekeeping removed these instantly and we were not troubled again by the ants. The food was varied and plentiful as were the drinks. The bar and waiter/ess staff were fabulous, very friendly and polite. Jezz and Vicki, the children's entertainers were excellent with the children providing water polo, mini golf, etc and even setting up a penalty shoot out on request of my football crazy son. Lots of bingo and great acts for the night entertainment. Lots of sun loungers, tables and parasols pool side. The hotel is situated up a small hill near to the beach. Be careful with the slippy pavements! Great situation and the beach is lovely. Recommend a trip to Puerto de Mogan. Lovely coastal walk to Porto Rico. Beach towels, air conditioning and TV need to be hired which is an unfortunate added cost. we were given a Wi-fi code free of charge which worked in our room and all the hotel areas. Believe there are lots of guests who return year after year and we will be joining them. Great place for families and older people.

First family holiday
Hotel and the staff been really nice and very friendly.By day two they refer to our kids with their names. We stayed on AI board and it was a good choice as the food was various and good quality.
Will definitely visit again but not via Thomas Cook as very disappointed from their lack of presence and support there.

great for families
Great location, not too far up the hill from the beach. Definitely a family hotel in August. Apartment clean and cleaned regularly. Great view over the beach. We were self catering. The hotel mini market has all you need for breakfast or making a snack lunch. Fantastic restaurants around the beach. Bus stops outside the hotel to get you to lots of places. No children - go out of school holidays.

Good hotel for families in great location
This was a good standard family hotel with good views over the bay. We were on a self catering basis which worked well due to to some pleasant sea front restaurants. We used the hotel buffet a couple of times, which was OK ,
but not particularly good value. The hotel reception staff were very helpful, but the waiter in the restaurant did not seem to like the hassle of non- all inclusive guests. Our apartment was very clean , spacious and we had a large patio area. The room was cleaned and towels changed every day except Sunday.
The hotel is a few minutes stroll down a moderate hill. The beach was fabulous , but was busy on the weekends. The left side seemed to be frequented mostly by Spanish families which we enjoyed.

Great place to stay.
Had a fantastic week stay here at Mirador del Atlantico. When we got into our room, we weren`t happy at all as we got a studio. Spoke to our holiday rep to see if we change accomodation and was very happy to pay a small fee to upgrade to a 1 bed apartment.
We went All Inclusive as was a great price, and as I have dietary needs, they were very happy to supply different food for me.
The excursions were fantastic, especially the dolphin watching (got fantastic photos), and the combo is a must as you get to ride on a camel.
We went into Puerto Rico a few times as was in walking distance and taxi is only 4euros.
Over all our holiday was absolutely fantastic with everything we did, and bathing by the pool and down by the beach.
I would definitely recommend it to a friend and i will go back.

Definately not a 4 Ticks All Inclusive Hotel
My wife and I stayed in this hotel in September on an all inclusive arrangement .
The positives are location and pool area. All the rest are negatives
The restaurant provides poor quality repetitive food using plastic plates and dishes. As there are only two staff members on duty guests have to clear there own tables between courses.
The rooms are dated and towels and bedlinen are of poor quality .During our stay we had no room service on four of the seven days .
In addition charges are made for the television (1 euro for 1 hour ) and air conditioning (40 Euros per week).
