just returned from oasis village had a fab time staff really friendly and helpful working long hours in restaurant and bars both poolside and indoors. food excellent
always hot and plenty of choice lovely jelly and ice-cream when hot at dinnertime, there was even three themed nights of chinese mexican and indian food in the two weeks we were there all of which were really nice and it made a change from the norm. how people can leave bad reports is beyond me what do they want 5 star for 3 star prices. Entertainment team work really hard to get people involved poolside but are not pushy its up to you if you join in the fun if not they leave you alone to sunbath if thats what you want. toilet in our apt broke we reported it to reception at 8am went for breakfast returned at 8.45am toilet fixed so couldn't ask for more. two lovely pools one heated in winter and a child pool, plenty of sunbeds always one free.only downside no aircon so apt did get hot but as there are two sets of patio doors per apt just open both and let air go through . so I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to my friends.

Hubby and I just returned from 1 week AI at oasis Village.
Dont listen to the bad reviews but do bare in mind its a budget 3 star. Firstly the hotel is in a good pos
ition, the communal areas are very good and clean , the pools are lovely
plenty loungers in Nov and hotel was full (seems to be in summer rooms are full to capacity which makes a difference). Hotel Staff courteous and helpful.Never waited long at bar and 4 drinks per person at time.
Never saw one cockroach at hotel... a few ants in bathroom ,about 5 seen worse!
The entertainment in day was not our taste but plenty enjoying themselves. Kids seemed well entertained. the evening entertainment again not our thing but loads seemed to enjoyed it , I think a hour of dancing/disco would have made a difference at end as it is mostly quizzes bingo or a short act .team worked hard..
Food and Dining...the dining room is large and very clean staff work hard, plenty of choice you there is definately something for even the fussiest, lots of fresh fruit ,salad, veg, desserts ,hot foods and meat, fish cooked fresh , kids choices, wine etc in evening and theme evenings. Breakfasts were the usual cooked english(sausages were poor) plenty of yougurt and fruit, cereals, breads( another toaster would be a must in summer!) and the meat and cheeses the continentals like, fruit juices, tea coffee ,hot choc.( the only problem is it is eating not dining...the room is vast and noise echos... pleasant to eat and go but not dine and chat) the lunches at the pool bar were good and in dining room too!although only stayed in twice.
If you want to go out order a packed lunch the night before...its not great 2 litre bottle water pack dry biscuits and a banana, a sandwich each no butter and one slice thin ham..this could be improved!
The apartments/rooms these are large and clean, lounge with a sofa bed (ours was not smelling too good but not using) table and chair and pay for tv. a sideboard at back where kitchen used to be with a small fridge inside and kettle cups on top.Bedroom good size
twin beds ok not great but not the worst... shabby and really need refurbished, new sheets needed too... ours had washed out fibre pen drawings on.. who lets their kids do this? should have been binned not put on beds!
the cats dont bother anyone unless you pet them , they are well cared for and nessessary as vermin control anywhere..and i dont even like them.
.
would we go back....already booked for summer with well 2 behaved teenagers food and drinks cost a bomb these days so AI good value, its clean, has good facilities, great location Next to water park and crazy golf, sporting facilities . safe family friendly resort. Luxurious NO good value YES!
only major critisism thomas cook is the major price difference for flying from Scotland (hubby and I could have 1 and 1/2 november weeks away on difference) ...were now travelling from england... we love the geordies anyway!

Booked this hotel approx 6 weeks before departure. I had read the reviews and have to agree with a few that the hotel and facilities are tired. The apartment was a d
ecent size and clean but everything was tired.
Downside - no air conditioning whatsoever - not in the apartments, restaurant or evening entertainment room - made it quite uncomfortable. Food was ok but nothing special. Got fed up with drinking all drinks out of plastic / paper cups!!! Drains smelt disgusting on several occasions. Also they had the most unhelpful and unfriendly receptionist in the evenings!!! Day staff were lovely!!
Upside - beach was close, pools were lovely.

Booked this hol thought to celebrate my partners birthday somewhere its warm, the flight was ok,not much legroom (had a netbook with me been watching films on the way
there&back),been excited about it so i didnt care .The apartement is big, definitely need some refurbishing, but for the price we paid is lot better than what we expected, found some ants in the bathroom, but only 3-4 every day .The staff very nice,,very hard working!!but not much english speaking, except the person on the reception,We have been told that every key fit every door :-) have not tried, but knowing this do not leave any values in the room .As we hired a car (lady there very nice, and helpful) didnt really bothered what was going on in the hotel, didnt take part in animation,or entertainment, seen people not really enjoy bingo almost every evening so we went out more or less every night as well as every day, there is a lot to see,(only boring people cant find nothing there just lying around the pool all day and writing reviews,do not believe them!! The pool...we didnt go into it so not much we could say, apart from people sometimes mix them with toilet and water goes brown :-) and they still go in :-)
Rep was very nice, was nice to know someones there in case we need anything.
The restaurant is like a sauna.... (but a nice one full with food:-) )
About the food, there is always a choice even if you fussy, but being honest we liked it,what we had was well made ,tastie, the drinks were ok too, apart from alcohol, thats quite light very hard to get drunk :-D But then again there are shops out there and can always go out and buy food or drinks,it is cheap as well so its nothing to worry about . For us the only downside was they should show a bit of spanish of everything, food, music etc that could have been better, but however we had a fantastic time there, and would definitely come back again to Corralejo and Oasis Village, and we just cant wait :-) A litle advise...one week is not enough ;-)

The Oasis Village was a pleasant place to stay.Staff were very helpful,Room big and beds comfortable.Surroundings pretty with beautiful gardens and trees .Pools very
nice and always room around. Food was plentiful and varied. We did not get involved in entertainment as more children and family based ,There is a lovely square a few minutes away with live entertainment and lovely atmosphere, Beach and town walking distance, sand dunes a cheap taxi or bus trip .Town beach small but nice and the huge beach nearby is amazing. We had never been to canaries before but loved it and found lots to do ,We went to Cotilllo which was a stunning place and had day trip to Lanzarote and went on a submarine which was amazing, I would recommend Oasis Village for families but maybe not so much for couples. It was very good value for money for us to stay .there is a kettle in the room,We hired a fan which was great .Reps were very nice and helpful.

This Hotel could be brilliant, big confortable rooms, although could do with air conditioning. Great pools, choice of quite on or where all the entertainment was. Th
e entertainment team do an exellent job Day and Night. Even if you don't join in , it is enjoyable to watch. Bar staff at pool especially were very efficient and friendly.
The thing that let's it down is the restaurant. It looks and feels like a canteen and staff are not helpful and the food was awfull, not much choice and either burnt or under cooked. We did notice surprisingly that our 2nd week when more Spanish and Germans came the food Suddenly improved dramatically. I don't think this was a coincidence. This was mentioned to the rep at the time, but there was not much she could do. The rep herself was very helpful in other issues and was always around.

Staying in this hotel complex was like being on the set and in the cast of `Benidorm'. The food was nothing exciting, what I would expect at home not in Fuerteventur
a it was very much same old same old, stuff almost regurgitated from the previous day. Burgers greasy bacon and over cooked baked beans, limp lettuce and frisby eggs. The daytime `entertainment' was purile and mindless but well meant. The evening entertainment had occasional glimpses of inspiration but invariably poor and far too repetitive especially with the awful karaoke and the `site' dance. I just wonder, having stayed at this complex a few years ago and loved it, if the management are contented with catering to the masses in this way... This place either needs to pull its socks up especially as on Fuerteventura as in other places there is a growing AI industry which you either join the competition and thrive or ... potentially in the place where we were you just give up and accept anything and everything as the norm.

Prior to our departure to the Oasis village we were apprehensive as we had read really bad reviews about this hotel. We however, found the hotel to be excellent for
a 3 star. There was so much choice with food, the whole family enjoyed it including my husband who is a vegetarian and my 2 children aged 13 & 14. How could people complain when there was such a huge variety of food??
The room was very clean, cleaned 5 times a week, the towels were changed every other day and the bedding twice a week. Although there isn't air conditioning, we found we could leave the patio doors open at night (however we were on the first floor and I don't think I would of been as keen if on the ground floor). The 2 pools were salt water but were clean and well maintained. As we were there in August it was very busy and unfortunately it mean't an early morning trip to reserve sunbeds (if you didn't - you didn't get them!) This did calm down towards the end of the holiday as the hotel had quietened down a lot.
Entertainment hall was VERY hot and could do with air-con and maybe an extra bar person on at night to reduce queuing - however the longest we queued was about 10 minutes.
Overall - to say we had paid for a 3 star hotel, we were impressed and would recommend to others. However, if you want 5 star then pay more and go somewhere else!

this is the 2nd time we have stayed here. We knew it was only 3* but wanted somthing familiar. The food was an improvement from last time and we found something to e
njoy every night. Canarian night was my favourite, Indian my least.
The rooms are really spacious and could easily accommodate 4 proper beds rather than the sofa and camp bed my husband and I had to sleep on (we would have put the kids in the lounge but we got up earlier than them and my son was too tall for the sofa).
This could quite easily be 4* the rooms with their patios/balconies are lovely, the grounds are well kept and clean.
one criticisum... people were getting up silly o'clock to bag sunbeds. Some days these beds were not used until well into the afternoon. There is a sign round the pool to say you shouldn't reserve beds I wish the hotel/lifeguard enforced this.

There were 8 of us in total: 5 adults, 3 children who went at start of school summer holidays. We would definitely recommend Oasis Village to other families or peopl
e who enjoy a family atmosphere. Flights were in the afternoon so leisurely journey to the airport, speedy through luggage drop-off and lots of time in the departure lounge to browse round the shops. Lots of sales on, so couldn't resist a few bits!
Flight was great, cabin staff very attentive, took a while for our luggage to show up in FUE, but after that transfer is only 30 minutes and hotel gave us a light salad supper on arrival. Found apartments alright (in 4 horseshoe shapes), very spacious for 4 sleeping there: 2 single beds in separate bedroom with wardrobe and drawers, and sofa with stowaway bed in lounge for other 2 guests. Also fridge and kettle in lounge with spacious bathroom off lounge, and both bedroom and lounge have patio doors. Only thing that would make it absolutely perfect is AIR CONDITIONING! We took a fan with us and left it running through the night (we also used to sit on the patio for a bit witht he doors all open before we went to bed to let the air circulate - definitely helped).
Food was perfectly fine and mostly taken in the dining hall. Lunch snacks could also be taken up by the pool bar (hotdogs, burgers, chicken nuggets, pizza). I find it's the format that I get bored with more than the actual food, but you don't have to eat a full meal every time. It is possible to have a salad or a sandwich. I did miss not being able to get small bottles of water on all-inclusive particularly as it was so warm at night, but the hotel did sell a large bottle of water for 1Euro50. There was also a supermarket and some shops pretty much across the road.
Pool was fantastic, quickly got used to the salt water. The Thomas Cook Entertainment Team (Clare, Craig, Scott & Charlie) were all fantastic and worked tirelessly to keep everyone happy. Always lots going on but no pressure to join in if it's not your thing! Even the water polo and volleyball wasn't just for the blokes, the whole family could join in and did. The usual towel reservation game went on, but there always seemed enough sunbeds to go round. No issues with this apart from towards the end of our holiday in August when the scallies must have arrived as 2 of our towels went missing and 1 of someone else's. Eight-year-old also went to the Kids Club on a couple of occasions and really enjoyed the time there. Evening entertainment was good too with the Entertainment Team still going strong till 11pm! Queue at Ents bar sometimes got very long as it was the only bar open in the evening.
The Oasis Village is located a short walk from the start of the shopping strip and the waterpark. If you wander down the strip and can't face the walk back in the heat, there are plenty of taxis at a very reasonable price. All in all a great holiday and very relaxing, would definitely recommend it!!!

We couldn't have asked for a better time away. Me and my sister decided we wanted to have a relaxing time in the sun, sea and sand and we were not disappointed.
We
booked through the thomascook website and which was quick and simple and allowed us to compare prices with other holiday websites. Thomascook was by far the best.
We stayed in the resort of Corralejo which was about 45 minutes away from the airport and was a busy resort in the north of the island. It had everything you needed and if you were going self catered you would not be left wanting for bars and resturants.
The hotel was lovely, extremely clean, the staff were helpful and welcoming and the rooms were very spacious. There was always a wide variety of food available no matter what time of the day and the quality was very good. The pools were clean and the kids pool also had a lifeguard that was always around.
The evening entertainment seemed good and even though we didn't really watch all the entertainment we heard many groups and families saying how good it was and how brilliant the thomascook entertainment team were.
All-in-all we had an amazing week away for a very good price and we definately recommend this hotel and resort to anyone who is looking to go to fuerteventura.

We wanted a relaxing week in the sun and thats exactly what we got.
Accomodation was much better than expected and our room had a huge balcony which got the sun at t
he perfect time of day, after a hard day by the pool . Food was average but plentiful and staff all very pleasant. Bar staff worked extremely hard to serve very long queues of thirsty folk. Entertainment staff were great and left you to decide if you wanted to join in or not. We were all inclusive but 15 minute walk into Correlejo took you to a wide variety of eating places.

we traveld to oasis village on the 29th of june and come back on the 14th july. this was our first holiday in three years so we wanted to to be really good. the plan
e journet was on Mint Airways. the seats were ok but a bit uncomfertable after a couple of hours. . there was no entertainment,. Since we arrived at the hotel just after dinner had closed, they kindly put on a buffet for about 50 guests which consisted of rolls, salad, ham and fruit. not the best. the rooms are warm but bearable. you can rent a fan for $5-$10 a week but we never. the food was great , always hot, plenty of choice for eveyone. everynight the had either chicken, steak, roast beef or pork freshly cooked infront of you. BE CAREFUL!!, sometimes they advertise "calamari (squid)" as onion rings!! dont be fooled. The swimming poll is salt water and is fine. no lose tiles or anything. the top pool is the busy one and the bottom one is the quiet one. . there is plenty of sun loungers, but in the bust times you may need to get up at 7am to reserve them. the rooms are basic but of good quality.the sofa bet is fiddly ad you have to join a sperate piece to the bottom of the sofa to make it into a bed. we never botherd. the cleaners change your towels every 4 days and bed sheets every 2 days. . beaware that you can only get 4 drinks per person. . the entertainment was bloody fantastic!!!!!!!!!! they do quizes, water polo, voleyball, football and darts amoung other things. the bar in the entertainment lounge takes for ever to go down. . please beaware that it can reach 46 degrees and most suncream wont work in that sort of heat. we learned this of the suncare expert who comes to the hotel everyday. you can but very good suncream and after sun from her which is worth your money. the after sun workd a treat. i RECCOMEND U BUY IT! there is loads to do about fuerteventura like going to the zoo. i WOULDNOT go to the waterpark as there is only 4 slides and is a waste of time. and it is very dear. if you like to go out for a meal loads of time you will be spoilt for choice. there is loads of chineses, few indiand and steakhuses. aswell ad tonnes of suveneer shops. the harbour is nice and is loats of fish restraunts about it. the slow boat chinese restraubt is bloody lovely! also is the italian restraunt. over all this was a fantastic holiday to fuerteventura and would deffently go back again!

fantastic weather and good clean well maintained complex. Ok, so the food is not 5* but it was perfectly acceptable. Those who say there was too much in the way of c
hips etc are right, but only if that is what you choose. With 2 massive salad bars and food such as freshly cooked steaks, smoked salmon, mussels etc on offer, you can easily avoid the junk food. The apartments were well eqipped and comfortable enough. The "entertainment" is not very entertaining unless you like organied mad games in teh pool and bingo. I reckon about 10% of the guests took part in these activites and would like to think that the majority could also be catered for. One pool is busy and organised "fun", the other is quieter and nearer to the poolside snack bar, More chairs to sit outside adn avoid teh noisy "entertaninment" would be more than welcome.

Myself and my parent had a fab time we stayed for a week and have been home
5 days. The reps were brilliant round by the pool entertaining us and if you didnt want to get involved you could go down tot the quiet pool. The only problem i had was our room had not been cleaned for a few days as soon as i told reception it was cleaned within 30 mins.
The food was a bit boring and same every night, we ate out a few times as it was reasonably priced in town at arond 15 euro's per head for dinner and drink in most places...the town is a 15 minute stroll away (if you go slow) we walked it in under 10 mins most days. and quite a lot to do in the town.

We travelled to fuertventura in june 2011 and stayed at the oasis village and had a fabulous time. I aged 19 travelled with my Nan 73 and my brother 13 so a vast age
range. We arrrived in fuertventura approx 8pm and got to the hotel approx 9pm. the flight was brillant and we arrived ahead of schedule the cabin crew were great and did a fab job. When we arrived at the hotel we were checked in quickly n given our all inclusive bands as well as directions to the room which was a bit tricky to find but only a small negative and once we asked for directions we got there no probs. As we arrived late we were given a vochure that enabled us to get food from the restaurant at 10pm which normally closed at 9pm altough it wasnt alot it was something and to be honest we wasnt expecting anything and it kept us going til brekfast.
The food was absoulutly brillant such a wide selection and something for everyone certainly had no complaints on that front.
our rep was debbie and she was great any probs you knew you could go to her my nan had a fall and she delt with it brillantly.
the staff at the hotel were brilliant also and spoke brillant english the entertainment team were also very good and had a wide selction of activities available although we didnt take part altough my nan did love her game of bingo at night time and the cash prize waswell worth winning.
overall we had a fantastic holiay and are already thinking of staying at oasis village next time we visit hopefully next year.

Hotel is reasonably clean, rooms are fairly basic but are in line with what i would expect given the price that we paid. Swimming areas are clean and pleasant, and t
he 2 pools are big. The entertainment team seemed to keep the kids happy and for those that don't want to get involved are left alone and not pestered.
The food was pretty bland, and having read reviews we were prepared for this. We ended up eating out every night, we went with the view that it only cost about £100 more to go all inclusive than to go to a similar rated self catering accommodation so as long as we had breakfast, lunch and drinks there then we would more than make up the extra cost. I would recommend that if you are on a budget and you intend to eat and drink at all times in the hotel and not spend a great deal outside the complex that you should look at other all inclusives.

Correlejo, and Oasis Village would not best suit partying type twenties, but is superb for families including grand parents. The staff there work really hard, and th
e hotel is very clean. Staff don't speak too much english, but are courteous and helpfull. The pool is lovely, and the rooms spacious, and pleasant- my mum, (70) was relaxed and happy there, which is an acheivement- and the tweenie and teenaged girls also, along with us forty somethings parents/aunts. Place goes to sleep about eleve, which was fine for us, but dissapointed/bored the older young adults. It's not Ibitza (Hooray.) There was a lively childrens club for smaller ones, and Thomas Cook staff flat out to entertain days and evenings; and they tried their hearts out, although they could have had a bit more help evenings- take enough money for a night out or two! Food was plentifull, as were all drinks from coffee to cocktails in the all inclusive. The foods okay, you won't go hungry, but foodies steer clear. . We'd go again, for R & R, in the sun, and a clean, welcoming environment, land pretty beach. Many thanks to top staff at the Oasis Village.

Our holiday from start to finish was fantastic, good flights over and back, very pleased with the rooms we were allocated in an excellent location on the complex,of
which was well set out,and the cleanest resort village that we have seen in a long time, cleaning in all areas was nonstop.
We had one area that was a blip on the resort ie, one of the pools was being retiled, we had been informed of that but thankfully it did not interfere with our holiday at all, food at the resort was very good and plentiful at all meals, and of a good standard, you did have some grumps there as you normally do but we found all the food very good.
Entertainment was available all day long, run by the reps who worked their socks off day and night to enjoy this you had to join in, as my wife and I did,she won more awards than I of which I am reminded every day, the reps we had were Scott, Bryony, Claire and Jemma, it is they who will make us go back again when we have our next holiday in the Canaries, next summer.

Vast array of drinks and the house beer wasn,t bad either.
Complex was so clean and gorgeous, apartments were spotless and comfy.
One of the best places i have been, and is a definate if you have kids. Pool was clean (and salty) and kids must have swam hundreds of lengths in it. Entertainemtn was not brilliant, but good enough for the kids. Would have liked to see some professional artist now and again, but overall, a fab week and kids loved every minuet.

was a bit apprensive. However, we had a lovely time, very relaxing. There were no problems with the flights and the the transfer was very smooth as well. The hotel itself was quite nice and everthing was 'as it said on the tin'. Nice hotel gardens which were looked after every day; big rooms and very big bathroom with a shower that was actually hot (!) and the staff kept everything clean (cleaning service 5 days out of 7). The food was average with some days being good (always a difficult task when cooking for hundreds of people). I am quite happy eating salad so it was fine anyway. Little tip: the best vegetables were in the children's section for some reason! The waiters were all attentive and they even let you take food outside to eat on the veranda even though there was a sign up to say it was prohibited, so everyone seemed quite relaxed.
The only negative of the whole holiday was that there was not enough bar staff in the evenings so quite long queues and the pool bar staff sometimes were too busy cleaning instead of serving customers. On the whole a very good holiday!

After reading reviews I was a little bit concerned about what the holiday was going to be like. I am so glad so say that there was nothing to be worried about. The h
otel is kept spotless, there is always people sweeping, mopping and hosing down the pool area. The room we had was absolutley huge. In 20 years of holidaying all over Europe, I can honestly say that this was by far the biggest room I had ever had. More than enough room for 2 adults & 2 kids. The food was nothing spectacular, but there was always something to eat.Even the fussiest of eaters would be able to find something. I have read reviews saying that the food was awful, but really what can people expect for the fantastic price. We paid just over £2000 for 2 weeks in the main Easter school holiday, so when you take the price of the flights out, it works out at less than £25 a day for the accomodation and all you can eat and drink....bargain. The biggest plus point was the hard work and dedication put in by the Thomas Cook entertainers. Scott, Claire, Bryony & the fantastic Jemma worked their butts off for 10 hrs a day keeping everybody entertained....they are a credit to Thomas Cook. All in all a fantastic holiday. I would take the bad reviews with a pinch of salt, as I think you get what you pay for....and this was excellent value for money.

Hotel and staff good food not as good as expected for cost.
Area very good for wa

Drugs openly on sale in local market which was a shock.
Windy majority of time and very cold in evening.
Local restraunts good value even though we were all inclusive felt we deserved a decent feed.

A very good value for money 3 star holiday. The staff work very hard & and are really helpful. On the whole ,the food was good with plenty of choice. The rooms are spa

110 euros!!]This is followed by the entertainment team show or a local act.
The complex is about 10mins walk to the town or beach. Would certainly return to this complex

The hotel complex was spotlessly clean, and really well maintained. The food was better than expected, and there was plenty of choice. I'm vegetarian and was well ca
tered for. We don't drink, but the other guests were very pleased with the range of drinks available as part of the all inclusive package. The Thomas Cook entertainment team were fantastic-our 2 year old loved the kids disco-we've been back 2 weeks and she's still singing Cartoon Heroes! The team made sure everyone was welcomed to join in with activities, but there was never any pressure to be involved. Our travel rep was fab too-really helpful and friendly. All in all, a brilliant holiday.

Three 30-something adults and a 14 year old all had a brilliant time, thanks to Thomas Cook and their excellent team of resort entertainment reps, headed up by Rich.
The accommodation provided everything we needed, food was plentiful and varied throughout every day, as were the liquid refreshments. Apparently the only heated pool in the resort - we made the most of it (although eyes did sting most days after being in the water - perhaps too many chemicals).
The island is known for being fairly quiet - ideal for older travellers and those with young families, but we really enjoyed it too. We were lucky enough to have been there for the island's carnival on the Saturday night, which was brilliant to watch, too.

The purpose of this holiday was for my wife and I to find some sun and to relax. The holiday achieved both these objectives. We went with Thomas Cook directly as thi
s was a last minute replacement holiday and they had been very helpful over the cancellation of the original planned holiday, much more helpful than the travel agent we had booked it through.
The first couple of days it rained a lot and the first room they put us in got flooded. The resort staff were not impressed by our pleas but the rep eventually sorted it out. Weather was good after that. Facilities basic, had to hire safe, hair dryer and tv remote. No air con. Plenty of sunbeds round the pool.
Food was ok, definitely 3 star, but always something edible. Location was fine, 200m from the shops and a further 500m from the beaches.
We didn't sample the entertainment so can't comment on that but we weren't disturbed by any late night revellers

Booked a last minute break in the sun, and although booked through Thomas Cook it was sub contracted to Thomsons. They were excellent with the plane tickets, advice
brochure, and all airport connections and reps. The hotel Oasis Papagayo was very clean and had good facilities for all ages. The hotel is very close to the water park but if you want the beach and harbour, then it is either a good 15-20 min walk or short taxi ride away. Excellent holiday and could not fault the Thomson reps or connections but having flown many airlines was shocked with the poor leg room on the Thomson plane and glad the flight was only just under four hours. Other than this an all round very enjoyable break and experience.

The hotel rooms could have done with refurbising eg, new mattresses, but the cleaning was superb.
The pool area and pools (one of which is heated) are well kept.
We
stayed for 10 nights, all inclusive and found that there was plenty of choice at meal times. The 'hot choice' had often gone cold although a microwave was available. The salad choice was super.
The entertainment provided from 10.30 am 'til 11.30 pm by Thomas Cooks representatives was varied and enjoyable. They certainly work hard.
The hotel is about a 30 min 'slow stroll' to the centre. Plenty of shops, cafes even the ferry across to Lanzarote.
Our only problem was that we didn't have a sink/bath plug....and the hot water (presumably on laundry days) was not very hot. We were told by the Receptionist that this would be sorted but we never had a plug during our stay................ Lesson to be learnt here - always pack a plug :-)

The reception area was a good advert for this apartment hotel. Is was very modern, clean and tidy. Checking in was a breeze. The 0utdoor pool area was large (2 pools
one of which was heated) and plenty of sun beds. (None reserved by towels) The accomodation was surprisingly spacious, clean and tidy and had a fridge plus coffe making facilities. We were on all inclusive. Some of the food wasn't too my taste but the selection was so large you could always find something to eat. With vast quantities available you shouldn't go there if your on a diet. It was a bit of a pain queing at the bar for drinks. Beer was in small glasses so you could get served, join the end of the queue again and by the time you were at the front you would be ready for another one. Within walking distance was a massive shopping centre and lots of restaurants. You could spend all day there. As usual the bi weekly market was a waste of time. The only thing that spoilt this holiday was the terrible enterainment put on by the Thomas Cook reps and visiting entertainers. How many times can you watch a parrot show? For some reason the reps would blast pop music out poolside all day long. No quite times by the pool when they were around.

My partner and i booked this holiday for a wk of rest & sunshine before our wedding in April, flights ok Hotel:our room was large had kettle and a small fridge, sepe
rate bedroom off lounge area, beds were the worst ever broken springs cut into skin first night reported this said they had changed it inspected later they just turned mattress over, we were all inc, food awful and cold, been abroad many times to variety of countries food here by far the worst the salad bar was where the best tasting food was,we would rather have paid the same price for this holiday at H/B of F/B and no free drinks if it meant they could have given a better quality of food. The pools at the hotel were fab, one heated one not, however the heated one was taken over by the reps for the kids entertainment water polo etc also music very very loud, not much chance to find a quiet area to relax and read, evening entertainment consisted of presenting certificates to those who took part in games that day then 1 game of bingo,1 game of play ur cards right and on sunday's a show put on by the reps with some terrible singers and no specific theme to a show they work really hard but it is not what we have ever seen before and dont wish to see again, going into correllejo was really good plenty of entertainment good artist on, would visit this resort again but not this hotel

The flight and accomodation was fine. However, the weather was absolutely glorious! The smming pools were good with plenty of available sunbeds. The entertainment st
aff worked very hard to entertain all the guests. This was an all inclusive holiday, and perhaps they could have done with more staff serving drinks at peak times and at the poolside bar. The food was perfectly adequate and we had no problem at all with upset tummies. Overall, we had a great winter holiday. Thank you Thomas Cook.

The only saving grace on this holiday was the weather. Food was dreadful. Only one restaurant, like a cafeteria, plastic tables, etc. Only one bar open at a time, so
long queues. On more than one occasion we queued for drinks to have with food, but when we came back to the table they had been removed! Quality of wines very poor. Pool bar was better in day, but only one girl serving, clearing, etc. Accommodation fine, but mattresses lumpy and uncomfortable. Not much to bother going out for, but we were happy to soak up the sun. Pools lovely, but too cold to swim in, unless you wanted to be amongst the kids. Resort far from full in half term, so that speaks volumes. Entertainment abysmal. Only local acts and reps. Oh, and drinks served mainly in plastic cups! Agh.

having been booked onto a holiday for egypt and wanting to avoid any of the problems over there we cancelled our holiday with another company and booked with 36 hour
s to go with Thomas Cook
from the booking at the beginning to the flights and accomodation this was a very relaxing and pleasant holiday destination.
so much so that we would go and visit again........
the aparthotel was of a high standard, exceptionally clean and well positioned.
the rooms consisted of a bedroom with ample room and cupboard space, sliding doors onto the terrace and then there was a liviing room that had a tv settee and chair and then kettle for drinks to be made, which was a welcome thing when coming back and getting ready for an evening etc.,
the food was high standard and plentiful, i would have defied anyone not to find something at each meal that they could eat.................even the fussiest of people were catered for.
all in all we had a very good holiday and are finding it hard now to settle back into normality, so a good time was had by all.

The Holiday Started badly, having been given our bay number by the rep in the airport we made our way to the coach, the driver, who spoke little English was left to
organise the loading of cases/people, the rep came onto the coach at the last minute to "supervise" the transfer, we were waiting for almost an hour to commence dropping people off. The food was unspectacular but ok, what we expected really. The staff all worked hard (they had too there weren't enough of them!!) and considering this they were all helpful and very patient. The only negative were the gents, they need to install urinals, boys will be boys and this was not the sort of wading I had in mind when I booked. Overall we enjoyed our holiday, the staff were what made the difference and we would go again, to the resort and accomodation

Late booking for sunshine break; enjoyed weather. Rooms basic but pleasant, beds decidedly uncomfortable. Avoided Butlinsesque entertainment though lots seemed to en
joy it. Welcome talk hijacked by suncream sales and the usual daytrips. We walked the area; town, the market, Flag beach and the nearby volcano. We hired bodyboards to enjoy said beach and taxis when too shattered to walk back! The area around the town is very rocky and barren, very Martian! Having heard the incessant barking of a sealion in the (closed)water park from our rooms, we visited during a free open period when tourists are invited to swim with sealions (for a fee!). The poor things do circus type tricks and the still barking youngster was evidently traumatised. Physically in good condition but driven crazy it seems judging by its stereotyped behaviour. Please avoid! The pools are chilly, staff generally excellent, cleaning, kitchen portering, bar-wise. The all inclusive is cheap and breakfast good, but lunch and evening meals mediochre-appalling for vegetarians with food labelled meat free when evidently not! Wow! Unimpressed! Complained to rep with little effect. Cocktails not available as advertised, a few on in the evening but by day its a spirit and some fizz-not massively important to us.

Overall te holiday was relaxing. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful at all times. The food was somewhat different but overall there was always
something that one could be satisfied with. The hotel tried to be different on two nights by having a mexican night and an indian night, Spanish food consisted of paella on two occasions, this may not be good for someone that only wanted an english menu. The entertainment was attempted by Thomas Cook representatives who tried their hardest to keep all the guests on their toes with quizes and daft silly games much appreciated by the few youngsters in the hotel. The only complaint was that there was nowhere to go and have a quiet chat without having to raise ones voice. A quiet area would have been a help. The need for music blasting out after 11am and all day around the pool seemed pointless

The resort is pretty boring and is littered with dingey side street viewless pubs and is made up of just about one big large main road with shops pubs etc all the wa

Oasis Village was not our cup of tea, I admit it was my fault I should have red the reveiws and booked somewhere simply more expensive because this hotel proves beyond any doubt that you get what you pay for!!!!!!
Paid £170 to go on a catalan excursion which was a day out of Boringville. The weather was amazing and We found a couple of nice places to eat and drink afterwards.
Would not go back to Oasis Village personally but loads of people that go seem to find it great and like lining up for cold chips and small beers everyday.

Airport check in fabulous- cabin crew fabulous -flight fabulous- thomas cooks reps on arrival - oh were do I start.
Our transfer coach rep was uninterested in her jo
b and seemed bored and cross that she had to accompany us to the resort.
The hotel rep was every bit as bad - Her whole demeanour was very uninviting. She was not very friendly and hid under the stairs every day hoping no one would aproach her !
The entertainment reps - pleaseeeeeeeeeeee- an embarrassmsnet to Thomas Cook. There were approxiametly 10 children in the hotel on holiday - the entertainment totally centred around them and not the 200-300 adults. Evening entertainment was more suitable to a retirement home. Bingo - play your cards right and occassionally a sad, sorry and very embarrassing 30 minutes of singing by the reps. We enjoy evening entertainment when on holiday, a bit of a song and certainly the chance for the ladies to dance. 14 nights and not one dance on offer but instead very unentertaining entertainment. Part of our holiday is the opportunity to enjoy the evenings and in the Hotel Oasis everypne was in bed before 11, for no other reason than there was nothing to stay up for !

At £570 for the two of us , fantastic value for all inclusive ..hotel was not not full(perhaps 250 people tops in that week ) so perhaps this had a bearing on level
of such good service ..no complaints about food , however this hotel is definetly geared up for kids ..especially the type of entertainment ,not bad ..just very cheesy if u like hi-di-hi , hence we went out every night after dinner to get away and see what the locals had to offer..its about a 15min walk to the centre and only 304 euros back in a taxi ..so taxis are good value , very quiet on a night but the locals are lovely people , much different to the arrogance sometimes experienced on islands such as tenerife or gran Canaria ..these people will help u if u ask .. a big indian comunity in the shops, especially jewelry ..good deals on rings etc ..hotel booze was good , san migel beer which actually had a kick after about 6 plastic beaker fulls ..clean pool , heated in winter too which was a bonus..overall for a cheap week away and to get away from all the snow ..was quite simply a blessing ..id def go back, but not for two weeks ..as food is repeated in the second week..crackin value and plenty of sunbeds at this time of year..no gettin up early putting towekls out ..only if u want bacon and eggs for breaky ..one thing to watch out for ..take plenty of medication in case of food or tummy problems ..one poor danish couple who we made friends with got stung for 900 + euro's for a visit to the hospital when their daughter suffered de-hydration .. 3 bags of saline were givin intravenusly which in my partners medical opinion(who runs an ITU unit ) was completely unnecessary..although she made a more speedy recovery..the bug was passed to her father and he rode it out on basic over the counter medication ..The interesting thing here is they dont tellu how much it is going to cost until they have administered the treatment ..and its very expensive so ensure u have excellent medical insurance or it will cost u a fortune ..happy hols and stay safe in the sun , its very hot i bought the sun-skincare from the rep by the pool and it was fab stuff ..mart

sandunes also about half an hour walk or five minutes by bus.

Food was edible never ate out anywhere else, there was always something you could find.
apartments were very good large 1 bedswith cooker fridge and sink and very clean.
Only thing i could fault was they could be a few more staff on when serving drinks but in saying that the staff were very fast at what they did, and entertainment could be better.

On reaching the hotel the recoption area was of high standard. Lots of light and a very pleasant outlook abpove the pool area. The receptionists were very helpful an
d made us feel very welcome immediateley. Our accommodation was of very high standard, well equipped and very comfortable and with a very spacious balcony which had a peaceful outlook and was in a location which offered privacy in a relaxing part of the hotel complex.
The surroundings within the hotel complex again were of a very high standard and more like what I would expect to find in a 4 star accommodation. The two main pools were large and had plenty of sunbathing areas and an ample amount of loungers to accommodate everyone. Other acctivites were available in the sports area if you could stand the hot sunshine but refreshmets were always on hand around to keep you cool.
The dining area again was of a very good standard with a wide choice of menu which meant there was always something on the menu that you would like and cold drinks freely available if you were on an all inclusive package like we were.
The tour reps were regularly available and if they were'nt then they would make it very easy to get in touch with them by dispalying very clearly all the contact numbers needed should you do so.
The complex was extremely well maintained and cleanlyness was of a very high standard both around the complex and in the accommdation with regular room servicing, the staff were always very courtious and made our stay extremely enjoyable.
We would certainly recommend this holiday to any of our friends.
Thanks to Thomas Cook Holidays for delivering an extetremely good holiday.

Got off to a bad start before we even left by the flight times being changed 3 times prior to departure-net result we lost half a day off the holiday we booked. The f
light was very poor-as a party of 4 all of us were seated apart, I dont see why after paying £2400 we should pay more to pre-book seats! At the time of booking we were not told there would be no in-flight entertainment ,add to this an armrest that would not stay up and a seat back that would not stay upright- all in all pretty shoddy-
The resort is good, as we'd been there before we knew what we were going to.
The accommodation was nice but basic, great pools and nice well kept gardens ,in fact the whole area was kept very clean.
The food although adequate wasn't inspiring though it was always plentiful , getting an after dinner coffee in a plastic cup wasn't the best.We ate out a couple of times despite being all-inclusive .
I think adequate sums the holiday up and we all enjoyed ourselves because we wanted too and wouldn't let a few faults spoil things.

Previous reviews have complained about the tiles missing in the pool, whilst this is correct these tiles are mosaic so they are only about an inch in size, did not s
ee any injuries by the pool during our stay, still the hotel should replace these tiles. Tiles around the pool are fine and not slippy even with wet feet.
The rooms themselves were clean well equipped for a self catering stay but we only used the kettle for a few cups of tea and stored chilled items in the fridge. TV is pay per view, 21 euro for the week but who goes on holiday to watch TV. Safe was 3euro a day and it was a fine size, well able to take a DSLR camera, full size laptop and all the smaller valuables. Bedroom had plenty of storage and an abundance of hangers which was great as normally they are in short supply abroad. Bathrooms were again a good size with bath, shower in bath and large sink area, again this was clean. Balcony was a good size but did not get any sun whatsoever as we were north facing.
Only issue we had in the room was cockroaches two nights of our stay, first night and last night, we kept our room clean and tidy at all times so was not too happy to find we had company.
Food in the hotel was hit and miss each day
Breakfast was usual fare,
Dinner, we ate out twice during our 10 days because we could not eat anything those nights. But 8 out of the 10 nights was not bad.
Dessert were always up to scratch always a great choice.
Drink was available on tap ie pour your own - wine white, rose and red, san miguel beer, and pepsi products and then fresh juices as well. There was a pool bar which served drink from 10to6, the main bar opened at 6pm and served free drinks until 11pm as part of all inclusive, drinks were buy one get one free from 11pm to 12midnight.
Entertainment was provided by Thomas Cook and ran around the pool from 11am to 5pm with the usual games tennis, football, pool activities ie polo, volleyball, pool yoga etc. They also ran a daily quiz. Winners of the games won a Thomas Cook cert in the evening.
The evening entertainment was again provided by Thomas Cook same guys as during the day and this ran from 8pm til 12pm - 8pm was kiddies disco and dance along, then at 9pm they gave out the prizes for the daytime activities. Then came bingo, then play your cards right and then there was some kind of show put on each night at 10.15 - this varied from the entertainment team doing muiscals, rock songs, soul, 70s etc, there was a different theme every 14 nights. Twice a week local acts came in - watch out for Michel the reggae man - he was brilliant - really got the crowd going.
The entertainment team worked there socks off and always provided entertainment even if the singing or dancing wasnt always 100%.
Overall we had a great time at the Oasis Village, our holiday was made the whole lot better by the all inclusive and the entertainment provided by the Thomas Cook team led by Karen who all worked their socks off day and night.

First the good. The reps are very good and work very hard to make sure everyone has a good time. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The complex is kept neat
and tidy and the pools are of a good size. The resort is really good and if you like live music you will love the bars. The local beach is very good, the dunes are a bus ride (or 45 min walk if it's not to hot) and they are very beautiful (be ready to see naturists on the beach)
Now the bad. The food not good. We were enjoying breakfast until we found lumps of glass in the cereal. Lunch was ok with some basic salad. The evening meals were tastless and bland. We ate out most evenings. The pool area is noisy due to day time entertainment but it never gets too annoying.

We had a super Holiday and shall probably return again next year to the delights of the Oasis Village.

Enjoyed holiday apart from the six hour delay going out and coming home (nothing to do with Spanish airline strike). Its a shame that the Oasis Village didnt provide
somewhere quiet for adults only to sit and have a drink. The entertainments room was very very noisey with lots of children rushing about and shouting. (THOUGHT CHILDREN HAD TO BE IN SCHOOL NOWADAYS) lots of them about and we chose to go end of september thinking that they would all be in school. Oasis Village also seemed very low on staff in the dining room food tureens would have to be completely empty before being filled up again, i had to chase and ask for more quite a few times, its not the asking as they were very obliging its finding someone to ask. For the money we paid it wasnt to bad but i would say this is more 2star than 3star. The resort it self was well laid out but once again children took over all the pools so nowhere to have a nice quiet swim. Lots of areas that could have been made into adult only corners - There was a nice area just of the reception that could be turned into a lovely sitting area - just wasted space. Wouldnt go there again unless i had children with me.

When we got off the coach we were greeted warmly by the staff and shown perfect directions to our accomodation which we were very happy with (if only they had a prop
er double bed for us) the room was spacious, clean with big balcony out back with enough room for relaxing and drying off clothes. No Air- Con but is not that bad when you have doors open at night and doors and curtains closed when away does keep the room cool. TV facilities were available on request (with small charge) but they had eurosport free :-)
The food at core meal times was very non fussy but its not your gourmet style if that is what you are looking for! Breakfast had choices of full breakfast, pancakes, cereals, variety of bread/rolls and fresh fruit. Lunch could be at the pool bar or main restaurant, pool bar provided snacks such as burgers, hot dogs and pizza with chips, onion rings including salad. Restaurant included salad and sandwich bar. Dinner always had pasta, meat of the day (cooked well) vegetarian option and a kids side bar with pizza, fish fingers and meatballs (which adults can use also) All inclusive drinks had san Miguel on tap as the only beer, but had different wines, mixers and cocktails included in the deal. Defiantly an ideal place to go if you’re planning on an all inclusive holiday.
The entertainment I felt was superb. The two main pools were salt water and the right lengths and depths for kids and adults to use; with a baby pool for the younger ones. Enough sun loungers to go around but stick to the opposite side of the kids pool if you want to stay out of the sun. Pool tables and table tennis is available with a small charge and deposit only for the bats and balls. The animation Entertainment team were amazing; Bryony Brown, Aaran Smith, Kim booth and Karen Harper deserve a medal for making it funny, enjoyable, entertaining and superbly calming down the ultra hyper active kids! They never pressurized anyone into joining into the games from 1100-1700, they made them a lot of fun and kept you busy if you can’t sit still on a sun lounger all day! In the evening they had the kids dance party early on, bingo, play your cards right then the local entertainment/cabaret acts which were really good , experts at ad libbing when CD’s stop playing!
The location is not far from the main town centre and only 70 yards away from two supermarkets.
If you have kids in their teens or active people who want to be kept occupied throughout the day it is a great place to go!

Beautiful hotel. Reception had attractive sofas and library. Wifi was useful We loved the way the dining and pool area was set out. It was easy to keep an eye on our
five year old whether he was in the pool or up at the pool bar having lunch with friends or playing pool and table tennis. The pools were lovely. The same at night. Our son enjoyed the evening entertainment and we sat outside and relaxed but could see his every move. The pool bar was a nice change when it opened up playing local music. The staff were efficient and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. This is our fourth family all inclusive holiday and I would say the best despite others being four star. The only slightly negative thing was the food. There were a few nights it was difficult to find something we would like and we are not fussy. Did not go hungry though and would definately return. We were dreading our first 'school holiday' trip thinking it would be bedlam but the hotel managed well and we even got sundbeds in the afternoon after going to the beach. The beach was a good ten minutes away but worth the walk. Two weeks later we still have fond memories and would recommend the place to others. Flights, check-ins, etc were spot on though we flew with Aurela which was basic and a bit disapointing to son who was admiring all the Thomas Cook planes. Plane looked a bit rusty too. Just as well we are not nervous flyers. All reps I encountered were cheerful and busy. We did not really require there services. Did not use kids club etc This was our first holiday with Thomas Cook previously going with First Choice. Very impressed and have booked up again for October school week in the hope we have another great holiday.

We travelled to Fuerteventura during the Easter Holiday, stayed at the Oasis Village which was an okay hotel. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. The
apartment that we stayed in was large with a sitting room and separate bedroom plenty of wardrobe space large bathroom and huge balcony. The food was alright nothing brilliant but always something you could eat, although we were all-inclusive we decided to eat out some evenings. What we did'nt like about this hotel was the Brittish teenagers that roamed in packs and made life miserable for the other guests the language and behaviour from these teenagers was disgusting and the parents could'nt have cared less as they were too busy getting drunk most of the time. There was a lot of different nationalities in this hotel and you could see the disgust on their faces at the behaviour of the Brittish, even the hotel staff were disgusted as were many of the guests ourselves included. We would go back to Fuerteventura and we really enjoyed the old town and the music square in the evenings. We did'nt find eating out too expensive and the supermarkets were reasonable. Would probably go self catering if we went back to Fuerteventura, we definately would not go all-inclusive.
