ok Very basic room. Had to ask for beds to be changed. Had to fend for ourselves. Listed to welcome meeting from a far and reps more interested in selling excursions than anything else. Kids reps absolutely brilliant. Looked after children and entertained them even though not many kids there. Our son loved kids show September 14, 2014
Very disappointed Do not go here all inclusive! Or even half board. The resort is good for kids, but we spent a lot of money for all inclusive and had to then pay to eat out. The food was horrible. August 20, 2014
Great family orientated holiday apartments I'm just back from a great holiday in hi binimar apartments in cala'n forcat minorca. The weather was excellent at an average of 34 degrees all week so remember your suncream although plenty on sale everywhere. The apartments are standard decor and were exactly what we needed as we were out most if the time and they were spotless as the maids came every second day to clean them and give fresh towels etc. there is a shop on site and a spar across road from reception. There are also lots of supermarkets and mini stores with gifts and inflatables for the pool as well as bikinis etc. there is plenty of entertainment for the kids during day and night. We were self catering so didn't sample the catering. There is two plates for cooking in apartment and also microwave, toaster and kettle as well as pots and dishes etc. one thing to be prepared for is a €15 charge for a fan if you want one plus a €10 returnable deposit. Also if you want to use the safe in room it's a $25 + €10 returnable deposit. This is a family orientated complex as is the whole area including restaurants etc. We went as a couple with no kids and although we enjoyed it and went out every night and some days to pubs and into the city and other places as well as other beaches and bus tours, I would not recommend for if you have no kids but definitely if you do. It is also an expensive place for eating out etc so take plenty of spending money. All in all highly recommended for families of all ages. August 11, 2014
Great location & value for money, great for families. We stayed here for 1 week self catering in July with our 3 year old daughter. She absolutely loved it. The splash pool was fantastic for kids, and there were two other quieter pools, one with a baby pool. The thomas cook kids club was also fantastic and gave us a 2 hour break every day, our daughter loved going to kids club. Also kids disco every evening 8.15-9.15pm our daughter loved that too. The resort itself was fantastic. So many shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. We went self catering and so glad we did, we ate out every lunch time and dinner time and the majority of restaurants had play areas for kids with bouncy castles slides play houses etc to keep kids entertained. Pirate cove the beach was a 15-20 minute walk away and was small but a nice beach with a mini pirate ship for kids to play on and a few restaurants. Cuitadella was a 10minute drive away in a taxi and was a beautiful town on the marina with boats and lots of markets and restaraunts on the harbour, bands playing in the square in the evening, just a gorgeous place. The worst part of the holiday was the accommodation. The 1 bed apartments were very small and dated with no air-conditioning or television. We were put right near to the hotel bar & stage area where it was noisy all night. Apart from that only 2 hours flight from the uk, a great value for money family holiday. July 17, 2014
Great holiday at the Hi Binimra Resort Just returned from a 7 day holiday at the Binimar. Great time. I went with my daughter and grandson, age 5. Apartments are basic but clean and comfortable. Food good, plenty of variety. Something for everyone. The entertainment was good. The kids entertainment was excellent, could not fault it at all. I do not know how the staff do it, they works such long hours but nothing is too much trouble and they always smile. My grandson absolutely loved them. Even after the kids disco at night which finished at 9.15pm the kids are taken and entertained until 10.30 pm, so parents could enjoy the adult show. Great. Value for money is fantastic. I would go back anytime. One night we decided to go to Jimmy;s for dinner which has an excellent review, but we were VERY disappointed. The food was cold and no service with a smile. Very poor. good complex Rooms need updating pools excellent food good but kids choice ltd, very clean and tidy all staff reps great defo come back July 5, 2014
Not great ! This resort seems to have cut corners where ever they can! Food not great just mush and hardly any choice for kids ! The day time snacks are only allowed to be eaten in the buffet room and not taken out! Rooms are very dated no air con all run down and old ! Even tho we were all inclusive we found our selfs eating out most days and nights! The all inclusive doesn't include ice creams and things for the kids and the only drinks they offer are very badly mixed juices from a machine for the kids but you can buy better ones from the bar! They only supply small cups for the serve your self drinks so found myself buying a pint glass and getting evils from the staff every time I went to fill it up! All off the out door snack huts have been shut down for years the rep didn't care much about our problems so overall they have just done everything they can to save money and charge more where they can , June 17, 2014
Excellent Family holiday We stayed in May 2014 and were very pleased with our holiday. We had read so many negative reviews after we booked out holiday I was dreading it. The flight attendants were very helpful and as the plane was empty we were moved to a spot with more space all ran like clockwork. When we arrived at Mahon we were met by a Thomas Cook representative who showed us where our coach was. The transfer bus was very modern and spacious and the journey took around 45 minutes. The check-in process took a while due to the volume of people arriving but "Ange" our rep brought drinks round for everyone and we were well looked after. The apartment we stayed in was very clean, although they were basic we weren't in it much so it didn't matter. The only negative thing I can say about it is that the sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable. There are 3 great pools, lots of activities to take part in if you want to, there is no pressure to join in if you don't want to. The resort staff are very helpful & friendly and all speak English too. We went all inclusive so ate at the restaurant most meal times, the food and service was excellent. There was a good range of choice for us and the kids and all the food was cooked properly. The all inclusive self-service bar is a genius idea - no queuing at the bar during the evening entertainment. There is a kids club but we didn't make use of this service - we saw it a couple of times and people I spoke to seemed to be impressed by it. We also hired bikes from the Hotel which meant we could explore the local area a bit faster than on foot. The resort is located at the west side of the island where there isn't a massive amount to do for families with young children. We went for lots of walks along the coastal paths and took some lovely photos of the stunning scenery. We also took a bus ride in to Cuitadella which cost about 5 euros each way and was a great day out, we got to take in some of the local culture, and again we survived using only basic Spanish. On our last day we went on the FAB day (booked via the rep at the resort) this was a great day out for us and the kids and I would highly recommend it. We first went to the Lloc de Menorca farm park and then on to Cala Galdana which was an amazing afternoon spent on the beach. Our last evening we took a walk down the road and ate at Haitis, it's easy to spot as it has life size models of superheroes outside. This was a great place to eat, the staff were very friendly and there was just too much choice of food. Brilliant place. All-in-all we will definitely return to Menorca in the near future.
