Travelled from Canada via Scotland to join my family. Was not impressed with this hotel. Have been to Mallorca several times, third time at Palma Nova. This hotel is
the worst I have stayed at, and we did the all inclusive. Food was terrible, even if you were first in the dinning room the food was usually not very hot. The selection was limited, I basically lived on bread and salad and chips for a week. As it was Aug, it was hot hot hot, however the public areas had no air conditioning. I can appreciate the use of paper cups at the pool bar during the day, that is if you can get a sun bed, but I do not see why they are used at night in the bar. I don`t want a drink in a paper cup thank you very much. Rooms were adequate if you like noise and hearing your neighbours snore, and all other functions then you`ll love it. Oh and if you really like to share your room with some nice sized cockroaches you`ll really love it.
However, I still love Mallorca and will retun, just not to the palmanova hotel

Great holiday from start to finish emailed hotel few weeks before asking for low floors overlooking pool with rooms together as we were a family of 11 and we were no
t dissappointed all our requests were given what more could we ask.We have stayed here before 3yrs ago and nothing much has changed ,clean rooms, very clean round hotel and good food.Great location 5 mins to the beach where we spent each day as it was very easy to walk back to hotel for snacks, lunch or drinks. The only downside is you cant get a lounger round the pool at anytime unless you put your towels out at 7.00am and i certainly dont go on holiday to get up this early to do that as i do it every day for work thats why we went to the beach every day.The only other downside is there is no air con in the entertainments lounge so didnt go in at night as while we were there the temp was in its 40"s most days so was way to hot but air con in rooms was a great relief also not a noisy hotel all quiet by midnight so got a good nights sleep all refreshed for the next day ahead, would return here again great hotel great holiday

In general our accomodation at the Palma Nova Hotel in Palma Nova Majorca was good although our experience was spoilt by poor maintenance of our bathroom and toilet.
The overhead lighting was unreliable and several visits by maintenance personnel failed to put it right and we had no lighting at all in this room on our last night and last morning. This made bathing etc very difficult and potentially dangerous. In addition there was a water leak which made the floor dangerous. Apart from these problems our experience was good, the food was excellent and the room service very good.

I have been to Palma Nova before and stayed in the Hotel Palma Nova which was why we returned and it was fantastic yet again! Location is spot on, very close to the
beach, everything at your fingertips basicly. Hotel was great, Food was good, staff were friendly, entertainment was fantastic (particularly David who was a laugh a minute!!) It was my sons 1st time abroad, being 3 years old he didnt know what to expect but he totally loved it, the baby pool was just the perfect depth for him to get in & out of the pool by himself as hes very independant! will defo return to Palma Nova and stay in the Palma Nova hotel!!

Just back from palma nova spent 1 week with girlfriend in may and had a fantastic week.I am a very UN fussy eater and thought the food was excellent with good choice
and standard. The only improvement i would suggest is for omlletes at breakfast.I was on all inclusive and very happy with the drinks and snacks provided. To rent a safe was a disgusting 29 euros a week which i thought was way to high(you get 5 back)I would like to praise David from the entertainment team he was awesome made you feel so welcome and would consider going back there for him alone.Hotel is about 2 min walk to beach in good location.Had a good deal for this holiday paid about £325 all inclusive each for a week which is great value ,based on that price would highly advise to go.

this was our 5th time at this hotel and we are already booked for may 2011, i cant understand the bad reviews people have written about the food as we think the food
is really good and is always cooked to perfection. we watch some people coming into the dining room and not even looking at the beautiful salad bar or the soup or the choice of all the other meats and fish and pasta. they go straight to the chips and kids choice of pizza or fish fingers, then they say the foods rubbish!! the only downside we found the last holiday was the nightly entertainment, last year there were five entertainment staff, and this year only two. we see familiar faces each time we come to this hotel, people like us who come back year after year, so i think that speaks for itself.

i know it was end of season but the entertainment was poor only 2 entertainment staff, on the saturday which is the day most people start their holiday there was no
entertainment all day long.
as for the food it was a self service buffet on the first morning i had breakfast which was stone cold so after that we ate out, lunch and evening meal was ok.
all drinks were served in small plastic cups including lager we ended up going out or having a drink in our room
the maid did not change our bedding at all during our week there
i feel it was a waste of money going all inclusive as we were out most of the time
would not go back

Well 5th time in this hotel and i can't complain. Went for a week this year and the food was different everyday. Plenty of stuff kids would like pizza, nuggets, chip
s, pasta, croquettes, beans ice cream etc. Plenty for adults choices daily of chicken, fish and either steak/beef or pork everyday. Gala night. loads of vegetables even brocolli, cauli, carrots etc and meditranian veg too, salad bar, cold meats, cheeses. Puddings, cakes, wide variety fresh friuts including kiwis, plums, and other soft fruit, jellies. continental plus full english brekkies, bacon smoked though. wide choice non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks even tea, coffe and hot chocolate.
Kids and adult activites avaliable couple times a day and show at night either inhouse or fetched in daily. Trips can be booked with rep who is in every day . Bus stop 2 mins walk, goes Palma, and santa ponsa plus others
The rooms are cleaned daily and are spotless. The bathrooms are really well looked after and are the thing i hate on holiday, but we have never had a bad room yet. Really friendly staff, who remember us from other years. 2 minutes from beach and fantasy golf. And near papershop, beach shop ,spar etc. Be warned safe is expensive, but they know you need. Sunbeds a pain when busy people hog from about 6 in morning. Sunbed patrol crew sometimes move towels, but far too many left all day with no-one on them. Tip be friendly with lifeguard and he'll move towels for you :-)

this is our 3rd time at this hotel. was amazed at the negative response from some reviews. there is always ample food and a good variety, always agood salad bar and
food although not always hot, there is a microwave oven to heat it up. not enough sunbeds (but this again is usual at most hotels) biggest letdown was daytime and evening entertainment compared to other visits. if this can be upgraded would be a better holiday allround all in all good location and good value for money

after arriving in the airport there was a very long walk to the baggage reclaim and then another long walk in the other direction to the coach ,so anyone no too good
on there feet would be advised to get assistance, once at the coach there was no driver but after 5 minutes the rep appeared and we had to go back the way we came to get a different coach but after everyone had caught up we continued to the resort, the journey only took 20-25 minutes and the Palma Nova Hotel was second stop which was great. On entering the hotel first impressions were good, clean & tidy , which is always a plus, once checked in were headed to the lift ,which if you are in a hurry is not a good thing it takes ages to arrive we got to the room which was the usual things all of which was very clean. All the room have balconys which either face the hills the pool or the sea so there is no horrible view which is good. Being all inclusive we headed down to see what there was to eat ,if you are expecting burgers you will be disappointed , when breakfast ,lunch or dinner is not being served there is a small selection of food mainly salad but there are rolls and bread and toastie machines so you can make you own toastie which is good, the good thing about the food being there is that there is no food or plates and such like lying at the pool. There is a bar at the pool so there is no problems about drinks but if you are not all inclusive there are meant to be quite expensive but everyone that was there was all inclusive but you can up grade if need be. The food at meal time was good and varied enough for most people . During the day there is activities around the pool . The beach is only 2 minutes walk from the hotel and seems clean and nice. There are bars and restraunts not far from hotel there is a sushi bar, a kebab house and kariokie bar all within a meter or so of each other but happy hour at kariokie is buy one get one free but if there is 2 of you you must buy one each so you get 2 each as we spoke to people who thought they would buy 1 and go back later and get another saving the beer going flat but they were told they both had to buy 1 beer so they walked out. Magaluf is a short hurl in a taxi or bus .
At the pool there is 1 deep 1 and 1 kids one but if you want a sunbed and umbrella you must go down late at night or very early morning ,I went down at 7am and there was only a few sunbeds left which I hate some people who had towels on beds didnt come down til about 11am which is bad.
The hotel in general had a mix of families and 18 year olds so there can be some early morning noise when they come home which many people were unhappy with and the staff dont really do much about.
The entertainment at night is ok mostly for kids early on then there is an act of some sort then it is bingo which is for a full house 200+ euros so is good money ,if thats your thing.
I would go back here and recommend to a friend.

My husband and I had a brilliant holiday, We had a spectacular view of the sea and pool from our balcony, we were also overlooking the golf fantasia it was great.
We
went All inclusive and would recommend this to everyone, the food at this hotel was delicious with plenty of variety, it was hot and fresh the sweets were to die for.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, The animation team were brilliant and the kids loved them. the nighttime entertainment was'nt up to much but was adiquate.
But if you want more night life Magaluf is only a 20 minute walk away.
We had a suite and if they let me pre-book this room i would gladly pay a bit extra and go back in september.

a little limited, but because of the great location not so important. I would certainly return to this hotel next year.

I know a holiday is what you make it, but we were very disappointed in this Hotel. It's location is great, just round the corner from the beach and shops etc.
Rooms
are basic, small and dated, the bathroom vent lets you hear what next door is saying very clearly. The air-con worked ok.
Food edible but needed to be warmed up in the mircowave most days. No kids menu apart from chips but kids fill up at snack-times when burgers and hot dogs are on. Breakfast tables not cleared everyday, we cleared them ourselves.
Daytime entertainment ok. Lifeguard great with kids. The Pool is great and there wasn't a queue at the Pool Bar. We didn't manage to get a sunlounger all holiday thanks to the other holidaymakers putting towels on them before 7am.
Evening entertainment worst ever, very embarrasing when singers finish their act and we get asked "do you want more" and everyone shouts "no". Most people played cards or just talked over the singing. Bingo has good cash prizes though, this is the first hotel we've been to that has the bingo after the shows. The entertainment room is the pits, walls have stains and chairs need a good clean, stains everywhere. I know it's only a 3* hotel but we've had better than this.
We have three holidays a year (May, August and October) and we usually only book for 7 nights each holiday but decided to try this one on 11 nights, will stick to 7 from now on. We can't fault the weather though, it was great.
We won't be going back to this hotel again and won't recommend it to anyone.

I emailed the hotel before going and asked for a nice room and was lucky enough to be given one (room 515). It was really large with 4 beds and two full bathrooms, a
pool and sea view. Very clean. Fantastic as there were only 3 of us! The food was average hotel stuff though theres no kids menu. The snacks after lunch were better than the lunch itself and proved very popular. Entertainment was REALLY BAD. I must admit I just laughed at a lot of it. What I was really dissapointed with was the fact that there was no kids club which there was supposed to be so the kids had nothing to do during the day! Also, as a frequent traveller my young daughter loves the mini disco at night in hotels but this one was either non existent or very short (sometimes 15 minutes). On a plus was the kids pool which was next to a little play park so yo could keep and eye on the little ones (although you had to get up at the crack of dawn to get a sunlounger). I know you should not do it but families were left with no choice as adults with no kids were either taking them over to the large pool or choosing to sit at the kids pool. The cleaning staff and reception staff were lovely but the bar staff need to learn how to smile ( i spoke to them in Spanish which usually works but...no it didn't). The location is very good; minutes from the beach and next to Golf Fantasia. Overall; a good location, average food, nothing for kids to do but very clean. Would I go back?...sorry I would not.

spent 2 wks at the hotel palma nova in august. hotel was clean and tidy and very busy.really enjoyed our stay as hotel is central to everything, not far from the beac
h and other attractions. the only downfall we found was the restaurant wasnot as clean as expected, sometimes plates and cutlery were dirtyand the plates were extremely hot due to being kept in plate warmers all the time and being all exclusive the food choice was very poor.there are no kids clubs for younger children or seperate clubs for older ages. entertainment had some good shows. maid service was excellent, with rooms cleaned every day.

We were not disappointed when we arrived at the Palma Nova Hotel. It is very well situated and very walkable to three of the beaches and a longer walk to Maguluf. Th
ere is a very pretty mini golf complex just outside the Hotels back gate. There are many shops, bars and restaurants within the area. The Hotel is clean and the staff very friendly. The food was very good and I liked being able to have a burger and salad at lunchtime! This Hotel is extremely good value being all inclusive and we would return, only we like to visit different countries.
