Brilliant for people of all ages.
We have just returned from a fabulous week at this complex, we stayed in the Chihuahuas, and it was fantastic. The food was great, plentiful and varied. The room was great, everything was brilliant. If you are booked to go to this complex, I think that you should be warned that the comments of a lot of the guests at the Balmoral we're not good to say the least, the food was awful and the rooms just as bad. I can only speak as I find, out of the three, the Balmoral looked from the outside to be in poor state and would not have been impressed to be staying there when you look at the outside of the other two. I hope Thomas Cook take a look at this and try and do something about it. The Mastines, which is the other one looked to be on the same par as ours. All in all we had a really enjoyable week, and would recommend it to anyone though I would pray you are not allocated the Balmoral. I know that Thomas Cook checks any comments and ensures that the content is acceptable, I apologise if they consider my comment on the Balmoral to be poor as we were not guests there, but I can only say what I was told by other people and everyone said the same thing.

Good all-round holiday.
Looked forward to this holiday with some trepidation due to the reading of negative reviews. However, pleasantly surprised by excellent clean and tidy venue, really good food, and friendly helpful staff.
The transfer was lengthy, stopping at many hotels, and booking-in took ages (but we had a party of eight, age range 3 to 84 years).

Stayed in the Mastine, the inside door handle fell off on the first use, repaired within half hour. Food was the same served at lunch and at diner time and sometime the following day. Deserts menu was the same for seven days, with very little variation. As a smoker, there were NO ashtrays provide throughout out the whole complex, had to use plastic cups or the floor as used by many other people. Room was very basic, no Fridge, no Hairdryer and no television. Bed made each day, towels changed and bathroom cleaned, but balcony was not cleaned from day one. Main Entertainment at only one of the three hotels each night. Our opinion is that this complex is only worth a 2 star compared to other Spanish hotels we have stayed at

Excellent would go again
Just back from a 10 night stay. Food and cleanliness excellent. Stayed on 4th floor view of pool and sea stayed in the chaaunaun or whatever it's called. The drinks we're very good. Beach was great. The only bad thing was the transfere time it took over two and a half hours more than the flight that was terrible. And also you had to pay 8euro a day for wifi and you had to hire a hair dryer. But would go back again

great relaxing holiday at very reasonable price
I really love this resort, it may be a little dated but is so nice and friendly, love the locals, the bars , cafes and shops, hotel is not 5 star but very good for the price and the staff work hard to make the holiday good, you get more than what you paid for in my opinion, I have no problem with returning to this resort and complex, for the price of this total holiday for two I would have had to pay double in the uk and paid for drinks and no decent weather. would be back tomorrow if i could get the time off work lol.

First Sun Holiday for me as a single guy
This was my first holiday on my own for many years as a single guy, just out to relax from the stress of work!
The Hotel Samoa is a ideal place for families and couples alike, location to the shops is 1min walk from the front of the hotel and a 5 min walk to the small but well maintained beach with shops and bar.
The Samoa itself was perfect for me, room was what I expected it to be, the water for the shower was always hot and fast water. Dining room was very big with a good selection of food to suit most people, I enjoyed to food and the drink there.
I have no complaints from the hotel or the staff, great place to go!

This hotel is in a poor state of repair. Furniture in room badly damaged, tiles on bathroom so old there is no pattern left, wooden door standards don't reach floor as so worn, torn carpets on hall and staircase. Overall in desperate need of renovation. Outside areas not used to full potential. Never seen so many miserable faces in one place. It's sad that this hotel is in such poor state as location is fabulous. Views amazing.. Thomas cook you need to influence a revamp!

Relaxing holiday at a fun Mallorcan resort
My boyfriend and I stayed at this resort from 16/06/13 – 23/06/13 and had an amazing time here. Maybe our standards are lower than the average person, since we are students and cannot afford really fancy places in massive, busy cities, and this was my first trip abroad without my parents, so that may have contributed to the excitement, but we had a really enjoyable time. All we wanted was a relaxing holiday with sun, sea and sand (very different to the Sheffield weather we are used to!) and this holiday definitely delivered.
We stayed in the Mastines building, and the room was comfortable, well equipped, and was regularly cleaned. We had a balcony room which had a view over the main pool and the clifftop leading to the sea. Every room has a ceiling fan, and the room was always cool (despite the high temperatures outside!)
In each of the three buildings, we found the staff to be really friendly, and really helpful. The cleaning staff in the dining room were efficient in clearing away tables for new customers, and it was nice that some of the food was prepared in front of us. There was a wide range of food, to suit even the most picky of eaters, and was always quickly topped up if anything was running low in supplies. Throughout the day, we were able to have as much ice cream and drinks as we wanted. In terms of drinks, you can only get two at a time, and I have noticed that this has prompted numerous complaints on this website. We found the bar staff to be very quick at serving, the queue was moved through quickly, and the measures of spirits were very...generous!
The entertainment was good fun too. Your normal cheesy singing and dancing/quiz/bingo/talent shows. My boyfriend and I took part in the ‘Champagne Games’ and had loads of fun (and won the bottle of champagne!) The entertainment team seemed to really enjoy what they were doing, and although it was not exactly Shakespearean perfection, it was really good fun (and the unlimited drinks continued throughout the night!)
We went on a few excursions arranged by Thomas Cook (visiting Aqualand, which I would highly HIGHLY recommend, the Inca Market, and a tour of the Island), but when we went on a few trips ourselves, the buses seemed reasonably priced and on time. There was also a little road train which went around the Calas de Mallorca resort and that was loads of fun!
I would highly recommend this resort. Like I said, maybe the fact that we are students means that we weren’t expecting duck-feather pillows and rose petals on the bed, but it was a fairly cheap and REALLY fun holiday.. surely that is what everyone wants?
