Nice friendly hotel
We stayed here for a week in May- early June. On arrival the hotel was very quiet as it wasn't yet peak season. This suited us well as we were after a relaxing sun holiday. Later in the week it got a bet busier but there was still a nice atmosphere and plenty of sun loungers available.
The food was nice and the staff very friendly. The room was very clean but a bit basic. We would recommend for anyone who wants a relaxing break. I wouldn't recommend for anyone who wants a lot of entertainment as the entertainment is very repetitive. The kids stopping at the hotel seemed to enjoy it though.
All in all for the price we paid this was a superb hotel. The views from our balcony were breath taking. We would definately go back!

great relaxing holiday at very reasonable price
I really love this resort, it may be a little dated but is so nice and friendly, love the locals, the bars , cafes and shops, hotel is not 5 star but very good for the price and the staff work hard to make the holiday good, you get more than what you paid for in my opinion, I have no problem with returning to this resort and complex, for the price of this total holiday for two I would have had to pay double in the uk and paid for drinks and no decent weather. would be back tomorrow if i could get the time off work lol.

First Sun Holiday for me as a single guy
This was my first holiday on my own for many years as a single guy, just out to relax from the stress of work!
The Hotel Samoa is a ideal place for families and couples alike, location to the shops is 1min walk from the front of the hotel and a 5 min walk to the small but well maintained beach with shops and bar.
The Samoa itself was perfect for me, room was what I expected it to be, the water for the shower was always hot and fast water. Dining room was very big with a good selection of food to suit most people, I enjoyed to food and the drink there.
I have no complaints from the hotel or the staff, great place to go!

This hotel is in a poor state of repair. Furniture in room badly damaged, tiles on bathroom so old there is no pattern left, wooden door standards don't reach floor as so worn, torn carpets on hall and staircase. Overall in desperate need of renovation. Outside areas not used to full potential. Never seen so many miserable faces in one place. It's sad that this hotel is in such poor state as location is fabulous. Views amazing.. Thomas cook you need to influence a revamp!

Relaxing holiday at a fun Mallorcan resort
My boyfriend and I stayed at this resort from 16/06/13 – 23/06/13 and had an amazing time here. Maybe our standards are lower than the average person, since we are students and cannot afford really fancy places in massive, busy cities, and this was my first trip abroad without my parents, so that may have contributed to the excitement, but we had a really enjoyable time. All we wanted was a relaxing holiday with sun, sea and sand (very different to the Sheffield weather we are used to!) and this holiday definitely delivered.
We stayed in the Mastines building, and the room was comfortable, well equipped, and was regularly cleaned. We had a balcony room which had a view over the main pool and the clifftop leading to the sea. Every room has a ceiling fan, and the room was always cool (despite the high temperatures outside!)
In each of the three buildings, we found the staff to be really friendly, and really helpful. The cleaning staff in the dining room were efficient in clearing away tables for new customers, and it was nice that some of the food was prepared in front of us. There was a wide range of food, to suit even the most picky of eaters, and was always quickly topped up if anything was running low in supplies. Throughout the day, we were able to have as much ice cream and drinks as we wanted. In terms of drinks, you can only get two at a time, and I have noticed that this has prompted numerous complaints on this website. We found the bar staff to be very quick at serving, the queue was moved through quickly, and the measures of spirits were very...generous!
The entertainment was good fun too. Your normal cheesy singing and dancing/quiz/bingo/talent shows. My boyfriend and I took part in the ‘Champagne Games’ and had loads of fun (and won the bottle of champagne!) The entertainment team seemed to really enjoy what they were doing, and although it was not exactly Shakespearean perfection, it was really good fun (and the unlimited drinks continued throughout the night!)
We went on a few excursions arranged by Thomas Cook (visiting Aqualand, which I would highly HIGHLY recommend, the Inca Market, and a tour of the Island), but when we went on a few trips ourselves, the buses seemed reasonably priced and on time. There was also a little road train which went around the Calas de Mallorca resort and that was loads of fun!
I would highly recommend this resort. Like I said, maybe the fact that we are students means that we weren’t expecting duck-feather pillows and rose petals on the bed, but it was a fairly cheap and REALLY fun holiday.. surely that is what everyone wants?

relaxing holiday in Majorca
Hotel nice and clean, however does require updating, i would not class this hotel 3 star, more like 2 star. As for the food, all inclusive snack bar contained left overs from breakfast, or lunch, and finally dinner very basic not a lot of selection and cold fries. Staff not very sociable at all. Entertainment mainly for small children with 1 hours adults entertainment from 10 to 11pm, plastic cups served in bar. Gym & sauna closed, indoor pool was freezing cold, but all pools garden areas were kept nice and clean. Annoyed that my plane was re scheduled, to arrive in Manchester at 1am instead of 9pm the previous night, booked train tickets to Sheffield which i missed and my next train was not until 5.18am , not only did i pre- paid for train tickets i also had to pay my daughter petrol money and half days wage she had to take from work to come to Manchester airport to collect me, To round this holiday up, i would not go there again.I wanted a relaxing holiday but arrived home very stressed after 1 week away.

Stayed in this hotel, and to be honest we hadn't expected much from it. However, this hotel was nicer thatn some 4 and 5 star hotels I've stayed in. The food was always different each night, and there was options for everyone including my partner who is a vegetarian. Entertainment was on every night, also all the football that was on at the time. Was not far from lots of shops and the reps provided us with great information and day trips. You had use of the three hotels in the complex and providing you with snacks throughout the day aswell as your mail meals. Will definately be going back, it was great for everyone, old, young and children! The views were just incredible!
