Great hotel, brilliant food and pool area
We had a fantastic holiday at the Ciudad Blanca, the hotel was excellent although becoming a little dated in the rooms. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. All areas were exceptionally clean. The food was also very good with lots of choice even for a 2 year old.

Summer holiday 2011
This is the 5th time we have stayed in Majorca at an Iberostar Hotel and once again I cannot fault the location, staff, accommodation or food. Previously we have stayed at the Iberostar Alcudia Park which is just as good as the Ciudad Blanca. Food excellent, so much choice and as we were all inclusive it was available just about all day. Plenty of salads, fruits of all kinds along with freshly cooked meats, casseroles etc and also a large vegetarian selection. The grounds and accommodation were immaculate and clean, rooms made up daily with clean sheets and towels if needed. Staff friendly and helpful. You can walk onto the beach from the hotel grounds which is really handy. There are two pools, a deep pool which a lot of the older children seemed to hang around at (over 12 ish) and then the large family pool which was a lot busier. Plenty of entertainment throughout the day, aquaerobics, pilates, step classes, rifle shooting, football, volleyball, and kids clubs.
The only downside I would say is that main bedrooms in the apartments are set to the back of the apartment next to the hotel corridors so you get no real outside window or view from the bedroom, just from the lounge area. Also even though the sunbeds are locked until 8.30am people started reserving the umbrellas which were cemented into the ground by putting their towels on first thing so that even if you got a chair at 8.30 if you hadn't come and "towelled" an umbrella you were forced to sit in the sun all day. I have to say the lifeguard was very good and if he saw reserved chairs during the day that no one was sitting on he would remove the towels.
Overall a great holiday, My children were 12 and 13 and made plenty of friends. Though i would say the average age of the children on a whole was 1 - 12.

We had a fantastic holiday at the Ciudad Blanca. The pool area was fabulous, the walk in pool was perfect for young kids. The entertainment staff were brilliant, very friendly. There seemed to be activities for children and adults constantly on offer, though there was never any pressure to join in if you didn't want to.
The beach on the door step was gorgeous, busy but that's to be expected on such a beautiful beach.
The maids cleaned the rooms everyday. The hotel, grounds, pools etc were all spotless all the time.
The food was much better than any other all inclusive we have ever been to. Show cooking each meal, fish and meat dishes. BBQ 4 nights a week which was lovely. Plenty of drinks and cocktails on offer. Ice cream fridge for the kids to help themselves.
Only complaint was the evening entertainment, the kids loved the nightly kids disco, but the entertainment after was pretty bad most nights. Other than that we had a fantastic holiday, would definitely return or visit another Iberostar hotel.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The food and drink was plentiful. There was a good choice for vegetarians.
The hotel entertainment team were the best I have seen. There was something different to watch every night.

Ab Fab!! Then it rained
I can review our holiday in a few succinct words:
Room. Ours was a studio and very small, wardrobe space tiny, but be honest, how long do you spend awake in your room on holiday. Heard other types of rooms were more spacious.
Food was fabulous and very plentiful,
Drinks good choice but the staff did try to dish out some bloody awful white rum, bud bacardi was available if requested.
Pool, great for smaller kids but not deep enough for bigger kids. There is a deeper pool but adults with no kids tended to use and sunbath at this pool so got angry with kids who used water guns who 'missed' their target.
Location. On the beach. Fantastic beach very big and busy, gentle walk into sea. lots to do. Also in the centre of Alcudia so not in an isolated position.
Weather. RUBBISH. Lost 5 of the 14 days to rain and cloud. SWhen the sun did come out the temp was just right to be out all day.
Entertainment staff. Worked SOOOOOOOO hard!! Big pat onthe back to them all.
Recomendation. Would I go back YES absolutely. Would I recomend to friends? Have already done that. Will I go back? It is going to be some time before I get over the weather and intend to go further south in future to get the sunshine I crave.
