Relaxing holiday in Santa Eulalia
We stayed at the Sol Ibiza hotel in Santa Eulalia from 25th July to 8th Aug 2012. It's a lovely hotel and we really appreciated that it is adults only, as it meant the pool area was generally very quiet and relaxed. There was never a problem getting a sun lounger as there are loads in the garden area. Parasols did tend to be snapped up quickly though.
We had a lovely room on the 4th floor, overlooking the pool and with a view of the sea. We didn't pay extra for the sea view, but were celebrating our silver wedding whilst there and my husband had emailed the hotel and arranged a surprise of champagne and flowers to be in our room on arrival and asked if it was possible to have a sea view for our special holiday. I think it would be worth paying the extra for this.
The bedroom walls ARE indeed very thin. We had noisy neighbours on one side for our first 3 nights. We could hear someone next door snoring so loudly, it sounded as though they were in our room. Also we could hear nearly everything being said in the rooms either side, which wasn't great when someone decides to have a loud conversation about World War 2, beginning at 2am and going on for 2 hours! Fortunately they went home after our third night and our new neighbours were very quiet.
The food in the restaurant was very good. It's a lovely big dining area with a section for eating outside too. There was always plenty of choice for everyone, whatever your tastes may be. The staff were very attentive and friendly and very welcoming too. The pool side bar served a variety of lunch options, though these were quite pricey. We tended to walk the 2 mins to the nearby supermarket and buy a sandwich/ crisps/ fruit from there.
We walked into town, past the beautiful marina each evening, so didn't experience the hotel evening entertainment. During the day, around the pool area, Angel would invite everyone to join in various activities from rifle shooting to Sangria making. There was never any pressure to do anything though.
We would definitely stay at this hotel again, even with the thin walls.

Lovely hotel, great food, but too many smokers round the pool area.
We stayed here at Sol Ibiza Hotel for a week in Sept 2013. It is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The location is great, and also the food. Cleanliness is first class.
Unfortunately, there are too many people lighting up cigarettes round the pool on the sunbeds, and that in spite of two signs stipulating that smoking is only allowed in designated areas. Not enough "No Smoking" signs round the pool and the staff don't even attempt to remind smokers. There are plenty of places to smoke, but selfish smokers think they own the airspace!

Lovely relaxing holiday in Ibiza
We had a lovely relaxing holiday at the Sol Ibiza in Santa Elalia. The hotel was clean and staff friendly, get to know Angel for all your local knowledge and entertainment needs. The food was faultless, something for everyone no matter how fussy! The local beach is very nice as are the local shops bars and resteraunts.
I would certainly reccomend both the hotel and the resort for a peacefull relaxing holiday.

Very Stessfull holiday in a quite location at Sol Ibiza
I work 7 days a week and this is my only holiday and go away with a friend each year to relax so need a stress free holiday
Arrived had to struggle up the steps while the man at the door smirked and watched, we later found out that for 35 euros each we would get a better service with help with our cases etc.
At the check in desk the women was answering the phone started dealing with us then a Spanish couple waked in we were ignored till they were dealt with rude
Room small, sheets were not changed throughout our stay but were meant to be every three days,
Walls so thin we heard the couple next door talking and the man being sick in the night it was like being in the same room with them
Sat telly was in Spanish the only English channels were Sky news BBC News and CCN news
Evening entertainment was a man at a piano but the daytime was better the organiser was fab and tried his best to get people interested very nice man
At dinner we discovered our half board didn't cover basic water with our meal and so finding it on the hotel site a bit cheaper took it into dinner with us and were told we couldn't drink it there we had to pay 2.15 euros per pop
This battle went on for the duration of our stay and we found it stressful with the staff taking our glass away so we couldn't drink and intimidating us
Everything was money here 10 euro for a towel deposit,
2 euro for 15 min for WIFI use
8.5 Euro for a Bacardi and coke
your felt like you were covering their national debt
We tried to upgrade but they didn't do full board wonder why
I felt like the staff didn't want tourists like they weren't happy in their work if this is the case close your boarders please
if we worked like this our businesses and shops would close down
You may read this and think we are being a bit petty not really it was one thing after another a catalogue of things that became stressful in the end and spoilt our holiday throughout
If you want a good holiday with no hidden extras even half board and staff that are happy in their work and stress free too then go to GREECE free water with your meal to start with and no second mortgage needed

Value for money without question..Probably the most friendly and high level of service we have experienced for a holiday hotel for many years. Choice of food and accommodation was great. we would recommend the Hotel Sol in Santa Eulalia and its location anytime. Only down mark was the shower in the bathroom-it needs more power. But at the end of the day--so what!!.Thankyou Thomas Cook.

Perfect apart from the thin walls
Ideal location if you don't mind the walk to the bars and cafes which shouldn't be underestimated for those with mobility problems. Food choice and quality excellent and staff all friendly and helpful. Walls in the bedroom are paper thin, man in next room snored and it even made a difference when I moved to the other side of my bed, could hear every word from both adjoining rooms which was a bit embarrassing at times if you get my drift! Even with thin walls I'd come back to this hotel as is all other respects it scores a 10. Many people I spoke to have been coming back year after year.

Excellent quiet holiday, thats what we wanted.
An excellent hotel for a quiet holiday. Good access for a walk along the prominade leading into St Eulalia.
We have been to Ibiza on several occassions and have paid a lot more for some hotels that had less facilities.
We liked the Hotel Sol Ibiza and hope to return again in the near future.
There was no internet access at the hotel at the time that we visited but there are several bars in the area that have the facility.
