the holiday was excellent value for money. travel was excellent smooth flights and both in good time.
the hotel was very good and the only area for improvement would
be the evening entertainment. the food was varied and all cooked to perfection with the staff friendly and very helpful.
we would and have mentioned to family and friends that they should consider a visit.

Booking with Thomas Cook on line was very easy, assistants from telephone call for help as I am disabled was extremely good. The Hotel was "adults only" and was very
quiet. There were plenty of sun beds and chairs to use around the grounds, which was kept very clean and tidy. The locality was very close to the beach which again was very clean. The surrounding area was flat and easily accessible for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The service was very good and the staff very helpful and friendly. The food was varied and a good selection. The only disappointment was that there was no disabled toilet on the ground floor of this hotel. I would heartily recommend this hotel and resort for a quiet and friendly holiday.

We stayed for 7 nights half board basis at the Hotel Sol Menorca and we were not disappointed in any way.
The hotel is spotlessly clean. The food excellent with a wi
de choice. The staff were all excellent, friendly and very helpful. Special thanks to Naha our chambermaid and to the Restaurant and Bar staff who worked their socks off. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming.
The resort of Santo Tomas is very small and quiet. Just what we needed. Plenty of sun loungers at the hotel. There is a lovely, albeit narrow sandy beach. A wider quieter beach was nearby, just a short walk along the coast toward Son Bou.
If you want nightclubs and Discos, Santo Tomas is not for you. It is very quiet. If you want real peace and quiet, a complete recharge by lounging around sunbathing, reading and doing nothing, BOOK NOW!
Thanks to all the team at the hotel for making our stay so comfortable. Thanks to Alberto & Nadia the entertainment staff and special thanks to Christie the Thomas Cook rep. Well done all.
We will definately return to this Hotel.

Excellent holiday. Went to Hotel Sur Menorca for 10 days in July 2011. The food was excellent, always something different to eat. Free bus service to Punta Prima rig
ht outside the hotel which ran every 20 minutes. You are out of the way from lively resorts but there is a very good bus service. I feel that more sun loungers were needed in the main season as during our last few days people were getting up early and waiting to grab the loungers which are chained up over night. The journey to and from the airport took about 15-20 minutes. The evening shows wer o.k., some could be improved. The shows were Robbie Williams, parrot show, the Temptations who were excellent, bingo evening etc.

A lovely quiet resort on the beach with views over the bay. 2 clean beaches. Hotel Sol Menorca ideal for couples and the staff are very friendly. Nothing is a proble
m. Vists to the rest of the Island are relatively easy. There is a useful service bus.
Night time entertinment is restricted to the hotels but if you don't like noisy resorts this would be ideal. Plenty of places to walk for those who like to and the next town is in walking distance.

We wanted a summer getaway to relax and unwind - preferably with no children splashing in the pool. The Sol Menorca at Santo Thomas proved an excellent place to laze
in the sun or by the pool. And as a bonus it is adults only. The beach is a short walk through the gardens, so you can easily go for a dip in the sea - and then return to your sunbed and parasol by the pool.
The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and the bedrooms are comfortable and of the standard you would expect in a Spanish holiday hotel. The food was all buffet style and of a good standard without being exceptional. However, if like me, you are unable to eat shellfish, the choice becomes limited and I would not want to eat there every day for any longer than a week.
We did like the fact that the hotel was not just full of Brits abroad - there were a large number of Spanish guests.
If you like nightlife Santo Thomas is not the resort for you - it's quiet and peaceful, which suited us but is not everyone's cup of tea.

The Sol Menorca is an ideal hotel for elderly people. Quiet but efficient. We are not pool people so we liked the location because of the beaches within walking dist
ance. Hired a car but did not see any hotel location we would have preferred but found some fabulous empty beaches in the North of the Island.
Quality and range of the food was unbelievable. Found entertainment not to our liking. Little or no music for dancing so went next door to adjacent hotel. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Had expected to be able to use WiFi free.
Transport from Hotel to Airport was unecessarilly early.

Went to Menorca to celebrate a special Anniversary - Sol Menorca hotel great if you want an adults only location - went half board - restaurant food was fine could h
ave been a bit warmer (need to get there early - breakfast was just right) Location of Santo Tomas is halfway between Mahon and Ciutadella - hire a car if you can it's easy driving and once youv'e been into the main towns it's not too hard to find your way around. It's a small island not for the "Disco set" but peaceful - nudists seem to like certain areas of the beaches - the water is clear and blue. Staff were all very friendly - upgraded room to a front sea facing one - expensive - but it was a special occasion. Overall a lovely holiday.

We travelled from our local airport on a scheduled airline excelent in every way. Smooth transfer on the beach by 1pm. Hotel excelent in every way possible couldn't
fault a thing. Food excellent facilities excellent and children free. The return was just as smooth. We received a meal each way most unexpected. Nice rep not to pushy as we had been to Menorca before. Beautiful beach and water.
If there was any one point to say it was just a little too quiet at night even for us as there was only one bar and the other guests at the hotel went to bed early.
For a peaceful chill out you could not fault it

fantastic setting for a couples only holiday in a high quality hotel on the quietest beach imaginable.
Santa Tomas is an ideal resort for those looking for peace and
quiet away from all of the usual bustle in larger resorts, very few bars more suited to nice walks and lazy days.
At times I thought we were in an unspoilt part of the Caribbean the beaches were so peaceful with beautiful white sand and areas where you were simply alone, a real gem.

Flights both in and out of resort were great. Choice and quality of food and drink were very good for all inclusive. We went in October, and got what was a very good
all inclusive deal but unfortunately the weather was not good, overcast and raining. The hotel itself I would rate at between 2 and 3 stars, staff were friendly and helpful. The holiday rep was excellent giving good advice on facilities and where to visit on the island. But with the weather being off we found ourselves stuck at the hotel with little to do. When the weather did let up there was very little to see locally due to the remoteness of the hotel. If you are looking for somewhere quiet, out of the way, and aren't reall worried about the weather, its worth a visit. .

Very quiet resort. Very comfortable, clean hotel with nice seating areas both inside and out. The food was a bit hit and miss, breakfast OK but the evening meal was
often luke warm, don't know if it depended on the time we went. There was always plenty of fresh fruit and the bread was lovely. Staff were also very good in all areas of hotel.
This is the first time we have travelled with Thomas Cook - maybe we were lucky - but the flights were on time and everything went to plan.
Good Thomas Cook rep.

really good hotel, All four of us had a good time. for the most part the entertainment was good. The food was very good, always hot and plentiful. The only thing that
was a real letdown was our rep, we hardly ever saw her,and overall we all thought that she was a waste of time. We got all the information that we wanted from a rep from another company. To the point of thinking about booking with someone else just to get a decent one

As always with Thomas Cook every thing went as smooth as clockwork. The holiday was booked online at Thomscook.com. A very easy website and it took just a few minute
s. The airline was on time, we had a Boeing 757, loads of legroom both on our departure and our return journey. Hotel as ever was perfect (Sol Gavilanis) good entertainment, good food, perhaps not as good as last year, the lifts went straight down to the beach. One criticism, our holiday "rep" wasn't as good as last year, she was rarely in the hotel, and on the few occasions we passed her, she avoided eye contact, whereas the Thompson "rep" helped us enormously

What a fabulous holiday! My partner and I booked a last minute, all-inclusive holiday to a Milanos Pinguinos, a hotel in Son Bou, Menorca. Although the hotel had a s
light production-line feel to it, this had no impact on the holiday. A simple room, but with a reasonable balcony and an absolutely stunning view! Be careful, however, as a few rooms are not sea-facing. Also, it is worth mentioning the Flintstones theme to the hotel! The children love it, especially with the playground area and themed kids clubs, but it does take some getting used to for adults.
The hotel has a big entertainment area, with shows or tribute acts on most evenings. There is more than enough seating. A separate room was provided, with a large screen, for those of us keen to watch the world cup! Excellent extra provision. There is also a card room for those who fancy it. If you get all-inclusive, the bar provides copious free drinks and are not stingy with spirits. They also readily provide bottles of water; this is particularly useful as the tap water has a high mineral content that we are not used to and can upset the stomach. Sometimes there is a queue for the bar but it's hardly inconvenient. However, the advert for this hotel may tell you that the ice cream is free - it isn't. So do not get excited about that...
The hotel is situated right next to the beach. And a lovely beach it is. Approximately 2 miles from one end to the other. It is divine. The hotel provides sun loungers and parasols on the beach. There is perhaps inadequate space around the pool when the hotel is full - especially when guests are so diligent at putting towels on the loungers at dawn...
Right, as positive as it all seems, the food is worth a warning. Despite generous choice, the quality is exceptionally poor - think school meals pre-Jamie Oliver. Very basic meats and pasta, dry and unappealing vegetables. It was especially difficult to eat healthily. Meals were popular among children due to the simple nature of the food and endless supply of chips. Despite the above, there was a huge selection of desserts and fruit. There was even a cheese/ploughmans-style selection, although the cheese was fairly tasteless! Breakfast was fine - the pastries were great. So, there was always something to eat, but one is not fighting temptation.
So - a hotel aimed at families but lovely for all guests. When I booked this holiday, I was looking for space around a pool or beach to enjoy the fabulous weather without having to worry about anything. Having been working extremely hard, I wanted ultimate relaxation. This is exactly what I found. A beautiful beach and swimming pool, pleasant seating areas to enjoy the evenings, calm and quiet yet modestly-priced restaurants/cafes nearby with some entertaining evenings available, comfy chairs to watch the world cup, a Thomas Cook rep providing copious information of activities on the island, and everything one could want right at hand. Bliss.

Had a great relaxing time at the Sol Menorca, great location, good food and accomodation, we also found the staff to be so courteous and friendly. Obviously good wea
ther helps and we were lucky in that respect as well, the beach and the hotel gardens were both inviting and peaceful. The lunchtime dining options were quite good in such a small resort and those that we chose had lovely views of the beach, all in all a terrific holiday, thanks Thomas Cook.

My husband and I went to Menorca for the first time last year. We staid at the Sol Menorca in Santo Tomas for 14 nights We love sea swimming (and I love early mornin
g pool swimming too!), clambering around over rocks and exploring, as well as visiting interesting places with markets, some culture and history, comfortable, stress free accommodation and buffet evening meals--oh--and not to forget--good entertainment!
We got everything we wanted and more. The location was beautiful--not deserted but not crowded. The beach directly in front of the hotel was not big but perfect for us--some sand and some rocks. The beaches nearby were longer and sandy. We could go for walks to woods and up to the cliff (some led by our wonderful hotel guide and entertainer--Alberto). We could clamber over the headland to other beaches or go on a short walk in the other direction to a series of beaches. There was also a promenade which I could run on, and where in the evenings we could go for a stroll under a beautiful starry sky. To one side of the hotel were a few shops, which were fun to mooch around. The hotel was second to none--the rooms were comfortable and air conditioned. The food wonderful--with lots of choice. The dining experience was calm and well-ordered, and both breakfast and evening dinner were enjoyable occasions. The hotel staff were always helpful. A highlight was us getting involved in the hotel games led by Alberto--we don't usually but he drew us in and this was great fun. We explored other beaches on foot and by kayak, and we were also able to reach towns on the island via the excellent bus system. Next time we want to book some Thomas Cook arranged trips We would definitely go back. It was our dream holiday. I have a twin sister who went a month later--she and her family loved it--but she did not know it was the one that my husband and I staid at! Conicidence or what!
