Overview
Combining a perfect mix of old and new, La Thuile is placed just off the Valle d'Aosta on the border with France and over the hill from its neighbour the French resort of La Rosiere. Still largely undiscovered by the British skier the resort is split between the traditional mountain village and the modern Planibel ski complex. The sizeable 140km ski area, famed for its minimal queueing and fast hi tech lift system ensuring you get to explore the area to its fullest extent. There's also the opportunity to ski over the border, giving you the chance to ski two countries on the same day. This ski area really can be all things to all skiers, with a high quality ski school, a range of nursery, intermediate and advanced runs as well as heliskiing available to the brave. The old town, just a short walk from the slopes offers a cosy mix of restaurants and bars ensuring your meals will be as satisfying as the skiing.
