Our third stay, once in a one bed appt, twice including this time in a studio.
Great views, great location at the quiet end of a quiet resort.
The rooms are spacious, well equipped by Greek Studio standards with a good fridge, small hob, good built-in wardrobe, comfortable beds and a giood wet room shower/wc.
The maid service is excellent, the apartments are cleaned daily and regular linen and towel changes and the couple that clean the rooms are really friendly.
I would go on but I'm worried that you'll like it too much and I'll not be able to book in the future.

Wonderful Alykes...Seaview Hotel average
The Seaview Hotel is situated about 15 minutes walk from the main street of Alykes which has a few bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc... The hotel itself has lovely views across the bay to Kefalonia and is right on the (pebble) beach. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a lovely view from the balcony. The rooms are clean but very basic - too basic to do much self catering as we normally enjoy. There was a small hotplate with 2 rings, a kettle and a fridge - no toaster or microwave. There was enough crockery and cutlery for 4 people. There was a small corkscrew but no bottle opener, grater or tin opener. We also took our own small frying pan which was a help as there was only one other pan and a large saucepan. The living area has a sofa bed and dining table and chairs - it's very dark but you do get used to it. You have to pay 5 euro per day for air con and you will need it! The air con is only in the bedroom so the cooking area gets very hot. The bathroom is fine and it was lovely to have a shower curtain with the shower! Bins are emptied every day and the beds were changed at least 4 times in the week on both weeks. The other negative about this hotel was the tranquility was interrupted every evening by the Greek family that run the hotel having loud family get togthers, meals and having their TV and music on loud between around 8pm-12pm EVERY DAY. This was so annoying and they didn't respond to loud ssssh noises either. You could use the pool and pool bar at the Paradise Appts next door - I would be tempted to stay there next time. I cannot fault the location or the resort of Alykes...it is so friendly and laid back and every single person we met made us feel welcome and at home. For a lovely meal try Ambrosia...for a delicious breakfast try Fidelios and for chilled out drinks try Buca Bar on the beach or Whispers in town or Cheers and Iris bar just up from town. We hired a motor boat for the day which I would recommend to everyone and the train trip up to the museum is so much fun and you get to meet some lovely people.

Second Visit - Fab!
As good as the first time. Nice quiet location but close enough to shops, bars and restaurants. Good quality restaurants in the town. Clean and comfortable apartments. Merely metres from the edge of the sea which is calm, clear and warm. Ideal for those seeking a peaceful, relaxing holiday. We will return.

Great Holiday in Alykes
We were looking for a sun, sea & relative quiet & Alykes is the perfect place. Seaview Hotel (appartments) were in a beautiful location with fantastic views of Kefalonia. Main centre was a 10 minute walk away. All facilities very close by, room was very clean & comfortable (beds firm but we all slept ok). We had two 18 year olds with us who really enjoyed the break. If disco's etc, are you thing then perhaps not for you. Lots of bars & eateries & we never had a bad meal. Thouroughly enjoyed the week and would recommend this holiday if you are looking to chill out.

Not enough of a sea-view!
I chose the acommodation specifically for the sea view and I was very disappointed to be given a ground floor room with a very limited sea view. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, after a long journey and delayed flight, and there was no one to greet us, just a note that the key was in the door, so we had to unpack and make the best of it. I also thought it would have been kind to have at least left a bottle of water in the fridge, but there was absolutely nothing to welcome us.
The rooms were clean and well looked after. There were reading lights over the beds and a good hairdryer. The beds were hard, and I would not like to be a 3rd person sleeping in the other room, which had no window at all and was always dark.
The weather was in the 30s and we were probably lucky in a way to have a room that got little sun as it was pleasantly cool and we enjoyed eating on the verandah most days. Apart from the delayed flight our travel arrangements were well organised and I have no complaints about Thomas Cook.

Seaview - a must!
This is the third time I have stayed at the Seaview Apartments in Alikes and it is a touch above the usual Greek accommodation. Shower curtains and shower holders, hair dryer and TV! Yes these might sound like basic needs but they are not usually found in Greek accommodation.
Right on the beach with a bar serving food and a pool right next door.
Visit and you will be pleasantly surprised.
