worst greek holiday I have ever experienced
Firstly this was not my choice, I was advised beforehand by Thomas Cook that the Doreta Beach had closed and the Blue Bay was the alternative. The hotel itself was lovely my room was excellent and had fabulous views. The cleaning girls were excellent also, however the rest of the staff were unhelpful, rude, surly and just couldn't be bothered. (including Ben the T.C. Rep) The food was disgusting, very cheap, repetitive,(as in the "snacks" were leftovers from main meals being kept warm for lengthy periods) this is not good practise and unhealthy.I know a lot about Greek food as I have lived in Greece and this was not good Greek food. Al a Carte taverna, was closed.Mealtimes were absolute chaos, not enough tables and lengthy queues. Also children running around which is not good when people are carrying hot food. I decided to go out for meals ,to find the hotel was nowhere near a resort and only one restaurant nearby which was closed most of the time. There was a small supermarket which had limited stock as end of season, and the same in hotel shop (where incidently I had to buy bottled water as this not included in "all inclusive". As onsite taverna was closed and this was where main all inclusive drinks were, people had to use Bar Iris and pay,or bring drinks from main restaurant and sit in reception which a lot did and isn't really a good image for hotel. Need I go any further? I spent most of my holiday on the "private" beach where sunbeds were 3€ for guests who weren't VIP a bit much for families. Ate cheese and buns when I was in the hotel and retired to my room at night(as there was nowhere to go at night for a single woman holidaying alone) where the animation team kept the children amused until after midnight outside my room and then they ran around the corridors. I won't go into detail about the T.C. excursions except Ben the T.C. rep needs to give more information. There again when I went to the "welcome" meeting he stated that other guests better hurry up as "he" had things to do. Not a good advertisement for Thomas Cook.I feel the holiday was a complete waste of money and spoiled my first experience of Rhodes. I have another holiday booked with Thomas Cook for January 2012 and must say I am not looking forward to it now, in fact I am quite worried , if I could cancel I would but I would lose my money which I save hard for holidays. Well at least the flights were on time and the girls on the plane the best!!

Sunland - Kremasti
We were told the hotel was walking distance from the town, no chance we had to get taxi's everywhere, right out in the sticks. The food was ok - but to say the british and greeks are a minority was an understatement. We'd go back to RHodes as it's a lovely island but I'd never go back to that area. We were very disappointed, nothing to do, no entertainment, and a handful of bars locally. 2 weeks was too long. Really not what it said in the brochure

Rhodes staying at the Blue Bay Trianda
Even though you are in the flight path of the airport, you get use to the planes, and just have fun and relax. I got to stay on the second floor and had a pretty good view of both out to sea and pool side, which is handy for spotting a good place to sun bathe. At night the view from the room was beautiful, you can see the lights of Rhodes town, which by bus is only 30-40mins away.
The food and drink was plentiful, and there was always something to have for snacks, so you pretty much will never go hungry.
The staff were excellent and friendly. Always with a smile on their face and very helpful.
The nightly entertainment was good too and if your lucky enough to get a pool side view you don't even have to leave your room to watch it.

Sand, surf, blue skies and Rhodes
Stayed here and was completely wow'd. There was always good food to eat and plenty to drink. The staff were really friendly and always had a smile on their face. The entertainment was great, both at night and during the day. From where the hotel is situated you can see all the way to Rhodes town and at night this lights up. You're pretty much right on the beach so it is only a hop skip and a jump to it.
The only thing that may be a draw back is that your close to the airport and that means a lot of planes that go overhead (but also means that you can get dropped off first or last to and from the airport), but you soon forget all about them, and sit back and relax.

Birthday in Greece
Hotel was lovely but a bit out of the way, you need a car if you want to see the island. Food cold and tasteless. Would only recommend this hotel to people that don't mind having children running riot through the hotel and just want to lay by the pool for their entire holiday.

I had read reviews about this hotel before I went and I was worried about what it would be like. However, I couldn't complain about the hotel, it was great! People were friendly, food was great and lots of variety too. It was very English too, so I don't know how people could complain about the food. Full english breakfast, what more could you want! The beds were comfy, rooms were large, couldn't fault them. I would certainly go back, as me and my boyfriend really enjoyed it.
