we found the lindos princess to be the best

The food and acohol in the Lindos Princess were well above a satisfactory standard.
The staff were quite pleasant to be around and patiently happy for me to practice
my Greek on.
The properties were, themselves, picturesque and of exceptionally high quality with the reception area being exquisitely and tastefully decorated.
The only two downsides, personally, were (a) the lack of heat in the Indoor pool - it was absolutely freezing!!, and (b) the quality of the Animation Team entertainment was not what I would consider 5* - it was pretty box-standard and in parts amateurish, albeit I can't fault their enthusiasm.
The quality of the personal trainers taking the aerobics was of particularly high quality, coming from both myself and my wife, a connoisseur of all things "fitness".

Travelled to the Lindos Princess at the end of Sept for 1 week with some friends.
We paid extra for day flights, 2 days before departure we were informed the return
flight had changed to an evening flight. No compensation from TC and we had to pay for a late check-out room.
The hotel is clean and spacious. Rooms were clean and tidy, thats it for the good news. Check-in could have been better, we ended up taking our own luggage to the room. Went to get a drink after 9 - 10 hours travelling, and you can't get a drink in a glass till 6 - 7pm, any other time it is in a plastic cup, doesn't quite taste the same. The only food available was at the snack bar near the beach and the food was the same everyday, poor. Some of the staff are friendly but most are not, they practically throw the drinks at you, thats if you can get served at all. Italian a-la-carte is ok but not much choice of food (unless you want to pay extra). No bottled water in the hotel (unless you paid), otherwise it was just a jug of warm water, even had to ask for ice. The food in the self serve buffet again was ok, but the same everyday, Salads were gorgeous though, so another good thing there. Then we were hit with 3 wedding groups and a group of obnoxious 20 somethings. The wedding parties weren't too bad, but the other group decided it would be good fun to get drinks from the pool bar and throw it over each others heads while stood in the pool. Morons. And the staff did nothing. That is something I would expect to see in Faliraki, not a so called 4* family hotel. I could go on but it's getting me depressed again. Oh, nearly forgot our Thomas Cook rep. or as we called her, the elusive scarlet pimpernell, she was no where to be seen, though she was supposed to be there every day. It would have been easier to find Shergar or Lord Lucan.
When we did see her (on our last day), she didn't even ask if we'd had a good time or if any problems.
Anyway as I said avoid if possible.
We will be staying with Thomson platinum in the future, not that much dearer and far superior hotels.

Would like to thank all the Family World team ( Kerry, Tara , Josh and Camilla ) for all their help and activities they organized to make my daughters holiday a memo
rable one. These guys sometimes don't get the credit they deserve, but as a single male parent on holiday with his 7 year old daughter, I cannot rate them highly enough, so please pass this onto them if you can.

We've recently returned from a family holiday with two 11 year old boys to the lindos princess. The family room was a good size and very clean. The mini bar was refi
lled everyday, the beds were changed daily as were the towels.
The quality of food in the restaurants was of a high quality, and always plenty of options even the fussy 11 year olds could find something they liked. My only complaint of the restaurant was that unless you went to eat very early or very late it was packed. At times we walked around the restaurnant a couple of times befoe a table could be found. When you go to collect your fodt the dining room is so busy that its like playing dodgems with all the people, and whilst that didn't bother me at the begining of the week, by the end of the week i began to dread the mealtime.
The pools are fantastic we hardly saw the boys as they made loads of friends and spent there time going from one pool to another. The slide pool was another hit with the boys never tiring of them. The beach was a bit of a let down as it was a shingle beach, and very uncomfortable to walk to the sea.
We had a very scarey experience one the second night my two boys went on the bouncy castle behind the ampitheatre, when a freak gust of wind lifted the inflatable aboud 50 feet about our heads with the children still on it. This was very frightening for all the children and parents with some children being thrown to the ground and injured. I would advise that you do not let your children go on this, it was taken down for a night and then put back up again which i was disgusted with.
I dont mean to sound negative as we really had an enjoyable holiday, i wouldn't want to be there for two weeks though a week was long enough
.

We stayed for 11 nights at the Lindos Princess. It was generally excellent, immaculatly clean and with pleanty of staff. The only problem I had was with the beds whi
ch had very hard mattresses so I didn't sleep well at first. However, they had pads that can go on the beds which made things much better.
The food was excellent with a large choice at all meals. It was busy but we never waited for more than a couple of minutes for a table.
The hotel's entertainment crew were fabulous. Talented and endlessly patient. There were activities throughout the day for both children and adults.

Have just come back from spending two weeks in the resort. Had a wonderful holiday with our 4 year old. She loved all the pools, the park and the childrens disco. If
you are a beach person then i do think you would be really disappointed we thought it was awful. We hired a car for a couple days each week to have a break from resort and go to some beautiful beaches fairly close by. All in all a lovely holiday.

This hotel is amazing - the food is fantastic, and there's a lot of variety every day. The staff are friendly and they all work long hours and really hard to ensure
you have a relaxing and great holiday. The only and small issue we had was the reservation for the A'La Carte restaurants, we were told to provide 36 - 48 hours notice, however, when we tried to book, we were told we weren't able to get in for 6 days, by which time, we would have left. However, we spoke to the Thomas Cook rep. who took this up and managed to get us a table for the evening prior to departure. Surprisingly good evening entertainment from the entertainment team, the Grease show is a must see!!! The hotel location is approximately ten minutes bus journey into Pefkas and a further ten minutes into Lindos itself. There are several pools and although we were there during the busy school holidays, whatever time of day you went to the pool, beds were available - the no towels on beds rule really works at this hotel. Would absolutely recommend and return to this hotel again.

A really great place that I cannot fault. The accommodation was ideal for a young family, super clean and food fabulous. It certainly exceeded my expectations! The p
ools again were perfect for our family (aged 6 and 4) but Dad enjoyed them too! The beach was the only thing that I could comment on in a negative way - not suitable for sandcastle building etc so we really didn't use it but wasn't missed.
The local bus stops outside the hotel so easy to get to Lindos and also Rhodes Town (but it does take 1.5 hours). We had booked a trip with Thomas Cook to go to Rhodes Town but the rep/company messed up the booking which we were not happy about, but saved ourselves £40 and went on the local bus instead - definitely worth the trip!
The Thomas Cook kids club was also enjoyed by the children (use this one rather than the hotel one!)
Would definitely recommend this hotel and resort to anyone and would go again any time!

We arrived last week in May.
We were greated at the airport told to queue by one rep and another just ignored us totally and a hoard of people pushed in front. At 11
:30 pm this is rather irksome.
It appeared that the only other people arriving at the hotel were part of a wedding group. We rattled around in the hotel but had a nice enough time. But not an exactly sociable event.
Staff were fine, food ok etc.
But just seemed to miss the spark. Felt a little flat. Maybe our fault for going there too early in the season.
By the end of the 10 days we noticed the number of people had ramped up and it was a little chaotic.
My lad(12 year old) , at breakfast had a croisant pinched in front of him as he was reaching with tongs. The guy just leant over and picked it up with his hands. This behaviour was by a Brit!. Why do we always let ourselves down abroad. There were a fair few different nationalities and they all seemed really nice. A nice Austrian group who had an oompah band with them who were fun. Did hear some Brits referring to the war and how they hated the germans .
Pefkos was a nice little place fun and lively. 8 Euros by taxi there and 6 on the way back. We watched some football and drank and ate there for a change..
Worth hiring a car to view the island a bit we did. Rhodes town takes 45 minutes by car, not 1 /2 hours by coach. Did get a foot pedicure at Lardos, bit bizarre.

Just back from a fab week at the Lindos Princess! I wanted to write this review so that people will def book and experience this lovely holiday for themselves.
We ar
e a family with one Daughter aged 3 and the All Inclusive features were perfect for us. There is a main restaurant were you can eat every meal if you wish to do so and also a snack bar near the private beach for lunch times and late evening munchies! Also, there is an a la carte restaurant (Italian/Greek/Fish) which you can book into. We didn't try these as I didn't think our Daughter would eat the food offered. All the food was delicious and restaurant staff very helpful.
This is a large complex with lots of different bar locations offering variety and really good measures!
This hotel is the best for Children as there are loads of different pools one with smaller splash slides in and another with larger slides for the big kids!
The Animation team are all extreamly friendly and good fun throughout the day and evening but for us, the best part of this experience was the Kids/Family World department and all the Thomas Cook Reps involved.
Our Daughter is very shy and a little nervous around people she doesn't know. This didn't last for long here as the Kids Reps were so nurturing and fun that she had the time of her life and has some fantastic memories to keep.
In the morning we would go to a supervised plagroup session and then most afternoons there is a drop in service where the staff take over from you so you can have a break. I was unsure at first but she loved it and the staff could not be any better! Particularly Katie and Jen who gave her so much time and attention.
I would recommend this place to anyone with Children or even without as the place is so big it's easy to avoid if you want to!
A big thanks to all involved and keep up the good work! Hopefully we will be back again soon!

As the title suggests this was a last minute job booking 8 days before we left. We were only here for 7 days but had a great time . When we left, the Hotel only had
1 more week before it closed for Winter so after a long hard season we found all the staff very cheary and helpfull. We would normally find somewhere close to a reasonable sized town but as we were only here for 1 week and we was looking to do not a lot then this suited us, but it needs to be bourne in mind that you are 4-5 miles from Lindos which the closest town. The bus ran regulary from outside the Hotel , Rhodes Town takes about 1hr 40mins.
We found the food very good but it could get a bit caotic at peak times in the resturant. There has been mention of the food being a bit samey but as it's been mentioned before If you don't try all 10 dishes available in 1 sitting then there will be enough variety to see you through the week.
We would recommend this place and was a great intoduction to Rhodes Island

We had a wonderful time over October half term. The hotel was operating at only 10-20% capacity - but all facilities were working and staff were helpful and engaged.
We enjoyed good weather.
The rooms were spacious and well appointed - everything worked. The bathroom was perhaps a little tired - but still totally functional.
Buffet selections were very good, and we enjoyed our a la carte meal in the Greek Restaurant.
Our children enjoyed the various pools and slides, and played in the sea.
Exceeded our expectations

hotel was fantastic,, large complex, food was very good and considering the different nationalities they catered for all staff helpful and friendly can get busy we a
lways managed to get suitable table with help of staff. Plenty of pools for all ages and activities. the beach is pebbles so we stayed mostly by pools. drinks were free until 12 and you could go to several bars by pools or the hotel bar, where you had waiter service, no queuing. there is no disco here but as mostly families with younger children if the disco scene is what you are after this was not it. the accomodation was very good and room cleaned daily excellent aircondition. The only bad point is rhodes airport the departure was bit of nightmare, but i dont think that will change, overall excellent holiday

We've just returned from the Lindos Princess in Lardos on the island of Rhodes. My husband has always wanted to visit Rhodes so this was a holiday that really had to
deliver, and deliver it did.
We arrived at the hotel at 3 in the morning, not a good start I hear you thinking. As it happened it turned out very well. The hotel had booked our original room out and so we got an upgrade to a lovely room, with a couch and a wonderful sea view. The hotel is large with all the amenities a 4 star has to offer. The food was really nice with lots of choice, I defy even the fussiest eater not to find something. The staff are very friendly and all speak very good english. The rooms are well equipped and the minibar is stocked every alternate day.The safe costs 20 euros but well worth it. There is plenty of choice of swimming pools, although the beach is mostly shingle, and not very easy to walk on as you have to cross this to get to the sea, which has a bit of a shelf, so be very careful if you have small children and non swimmers with you. There is a few shops and restaurants nearby but there is a bus just outside the hotel which takes you to Lardos, Pefkos and Lindos for 1.5 euros and 5 euros to go to Rhodes town, which is a must for anyone who loves old architecture.Be prepared for a bit of a cattle market at the bus stop in Rhodes, it's everyman for himself. We stayed for 7 days and really could have done with 14, as each day was taken up with sightseeing so for us we really didn't have much time to relax as we would have liked, but didn't want to miss all the villages and towns. Just one last tip if a waiter in the restaurant asks you to choose wine from the wine list, just ask for the house caraffe and they try to con you into buying a bottle. We would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone. What can I say my husband was not dissappointed.

Arriving at Manchester Airport we chacked in and were told to collect our vouchers as there was a 12Hour delay due to the Airtraffic controllers in Greece. We were i
ssued with a 10£ voucher.Instead of flying at 8.15 am we flew at 8. 30 pm an extra delay was because the air stewards were not informed about the correct departure time.We arrived at 6.30 am at the hotel and were told the welcome party was at 9.0am which no one attended as they were so tired . The hotel and food and drinks were superb, also the animation team were really friendly and worked very hard, all in all the hotel was really great.
On the return journey the check in was very very poor, the Gatwick and Manchester flights checked in at the same gates, as the Gatwick flight left an hour before the Manchester flight turned in to panick
as the gatwick people couldnt book in due to the length of the que. When it was out turn to check in we had prebooked extra legroom seats and pre paid, but no one from headoffice had told the checkin desk staff , so they had been given to other people. After 30 mins we managed to sort this out which pleased the waiting public.

the overall accomodation was average, and had to change rooms twice as we were two women attending a family wedding but they could only offer us a room with double b
ed. When asked to change rooms we were then offered a room above where construction was taking place and refused any other options so we ended up sharing the double room.
The restaurants were not all fully open and one building offered all three restraunt specialities therefore limiting the amount of people to eat there. When trying to book into these restraunts we were then told that you could only choose one restraunt per week and could not try each one which is not outlined in the brochure or in the welcome meetings, so therefore had to eat in the buffet 6 nights out of seven which was a huge dissapointment as we had not tried the other 2 restraunts.
The hotel and pool area was very clean and spacious, and the staff friendly.

We were pleasantly surprised with the facilities in the hotel and by the size and location of our room. However if was to make some negative comments they would have
to be with the beach and entertainment and particularly the welcome meeting.
We arrived at our hotel at midnight after a two hour transfer journey only to be told the welcome meeting was at 09:00 the next morning, we needn't have bothered turning up to the meeting as the rep didn't seem to have a clue about the island or hotel facilities.
Whilst the beach was sandy near the sunbeds it soon turned into rocks and a sharp drop when entering the sea, therefore I wouldn't recommend small children being allowed to paddle in the water on their own.
The entertainment wasn't very good as we went at the start of the season and they hadn't really started performing any shows, we did however try and play Bingo which was like pulling teeth as the hotel catered predominately for families from mainland Europe and therefore each number was called out in four different languages. We travelled with our 13 year old son who was bored stiff as the daytime entertainment was unsuitable for teenage boys as the only thing available to him was to enter the kids club (which he outgrew five years ago), and the entertainment team refused to set up football matches for the teenagers despite other parents and kids requesting this.
