Great holiday to have at the Astir Odysseus Well I can honestly say I had a fab time there, We just went for a week for a friends wedding, Food was Great they catered for everyone's needs, Food was always piping hot, plates warmed, I'm quite a fussy eater but I always managed to find something nice, The pools were exquisite, The entertainment in the day was excellent, But unfortunately not at night, But it's not that type of hotel Only one English Chanel and that was the news :-( But be prepared for the long wait at the airport,we When going home You queue up to book in then have to wait outside for ages It's so small, then you have another long wait to queue again, If you want a nice relaxing holiday that's the place to go Staff couldn't do enough for you So helpful and friendly, Bus runs outside every hour and once your taxis has been ordered at reception They don't take long to arrive, but watch them they will try and bolt the price up. Trip to Kos works out 10 euros but they will try it on, One tried to charge us £20 euros, June 5, 2014
Quiet resort for a relaxing holiday at the Iberostar Odysseus Kos We have just got back from Kos. We had a very relaxing holiday. The resort was always clean and staff were very helpful. There was a good range of food in the buffet. The only thing we would have changed or requested was a room with a pool and a request to the hotel it's self to have Eurosports in English rather than German. June 13, 2013
Great hotel with some resevations Hotel spotless, staff really friendly and helpful, food to suit all tastes. Downside , not many English in hotel, appears to cater more for German holiday makers which is reflected in only one English TV channel (news) in the bedrooms. Pools freezing and beach non-existant. Relaxing Holiday in a fantastic setting We had a lovely relaxing holiday in this hotel at the end of May. Our room had a sea view, and was lovely. Food was varied and well cooked. Pool areas, there are 2 are kept immaculate, we used the one by the bar as the one on the sea front gets busier and we prefered the tranquililty of the the first pool. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The only down side to our stay was we could not use the spa facilities, ie steamroom, jacuzzi unless we had a treatment, most of the time the spa was empty. Overall had a fantistic time in lovely hotel, would definitely return. August 17, 2012
anual holiday this is our fifth holiday with thomas cook and as we have always found the hotel was excellant. Only one small critasism because it was out in the countryside it would have been nice to have more evening entertainment. October 20, 2011
lovely, yet smoky? This was a very nice hotel, food good, well presented, plenty of choice at each mealtime. All staff were hospitatable and amenable friendly and polite. The restaurant is mainly outside during the peak season which is a lovely bonus, however it is 'not' non smoking and there are no smoking designated areas, and as this was a multi nation hotel, alot of europeans are smokers and see nothing wrong in lighting up before, during, and after 'all' there meals. As a non smoking couple this did taint our pleasure in dining. It is quite a windy island so chances were you had the smoke blowing at you whilst you tried to enjoy your meal. Location wise, you are an hour and a half walk to tingaki along the beach (no bars to stop at!) It is a nice walk but no buses run there directly so you either walk back or get a bus to Kos town, then go to a different bus stop to get a bus back to the hotel. The bus stop for Kos town is right outside the hotel and takes only ten minutes, runs on the hour from about 8am to about 2am in the morning and only costs 1.50 euro per person, well worth it, and each bus has an escape hatch in the roof for the 'hairy' driving!! All in all a nice holiday, Kos is quite bland compared to the lushness of corfu, glad we went but wouldnt return. September 24, 2011
Kos Holiday Hotel it's self was very good . Food and entertainment was not up to the standard to witch we would expect from a 5* hotel. October 18, 2010
good holiday on kos hotel was spot on but food was roughly the same each day . entertainment on a night was a load of rubbish. told by travel agent that hotel was close to were frends were staying (zorbis beach) but was in fact 7 km away October 8, 2010
