Rated 4 out of 5 by royboy2012 very relaxing holiday as a couple
my husband and i stayed at the Koni Village Stallis Crete. The hotels only downfall was the hill but everything else made up for it the apartments were basic but very clean the staff very helpful and friendly. We as a couple had a lovely time the resort as a whole was excellent good value for money, food and drink was very reasonable and we never had a bad meal the whole time we were there. The whole experience was a very happy pleasant one and would have no hesitations in returning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Andy8068 Our second home
Iv just got back from my 4th year in a row here.
The hotel is lovely. Nikos at the bar will do anything you ask, we wanted a different room opposite the bar when we got there so Nikos and tall Nikos sorted it out straight away.
Maids are happy as long as you use the bin and keep the towels off the floor.
Iv never used the restaurants but everybody we spoke to said ti was lovely.
What hill? there is about 20 meters of hill. which is hardly a hill.
Pool is nice, big and perfect temp.
Pool side, enough shade for everyone (bars open all day for anyone wanting drinks by the pool) You also get the most amazing view of Stalis and the beach.
Koni has only ever been loud once in my four years, but with the aircon on keeping you cool and the door closed, you cant hear a thing.
On site shop sells 6 x 1 liter bottles, no more then 1 euro. the shop has plent in it if you self catering.
If you unhappy with anything, tell someone, they will do their utmost to solve any problem.
ok, Room - ours has 3 beds a cooker we dont use and big fridge for water. perfct,
Location - away from any noise from Stalis (not thats it noisy... )
Cleanliness - Maids clean every other day i think. so rooms stay fresh
koni its self is cleaned every morning before you wake up, looks perfect to wake up to.
Value for money. definitely - If on the almost impossible chance, you dont feel it is, tell them why you dnt think it is AND THEY WILL SORT IT
I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. I travel twice a year with friends. Here once and somewhere else random, NOTHING compares to Koni Village
It feels like a second home to me and each year i wonder why i didnt book longer.
The guys makes some jokes, so sometimes you dont know if their joking or being serious, which is what i think scares a few people off, but honestly, this is the friendliest hotel iv ever been to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lis22 Great holiday with my teen daughter!
My teen daughter and I stayed at Koni village,Stalis and had a perfect weeks' holiday. It was everything we wanted. Friendly helpful staff, clean room, maids cleaned every day. Gorgeous swimming pool(main one was lovely with plenty of sunbeds!) and another pool, smaller and quieter at front entrance. Appartments were a short walk to the beach, tavernas and shops. We really enjoyed our stay in Stalis, spent most of it at the beach and pool relaxing and enjoying the sunshine and evenings at one of the many tavernas. The holiday was great value for money and would definatly stay here again.
The only prob was with the ATM machine, we took a cash passport with extra money on it. There were only 3 machines in Stalis,1 was out of order and the one we used swallowed my card. Had to get it cancelled from England as helpline no. was unreachable. Prob better just to take Euros to Stalis.
This didn't ruin our holiday though as our thomas cook rep was really helpful and it was such a relaxing place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dissilusioned62 Worst Holiday Ever Had in Stalis Cete
THE KONI VILLAGE, Stalis Crete. The location was terrible, all steep paths and steps. The restaurant, whose meals were expensive and horrible, and bar closed B4 6pm, the shop, which didnt seem to stock anything fresh or cheap opened when he felt like it, but still was shut b4 6pm, so consequently we had a mile walk to the beach rd for food, drink and entertainment. The apartments were basic. Supposed to be Self Catering, HAH! thats a laugh, 2 tiny little hotplate type rings that took forever to warm up. NO oven, no electric kettle, toaster or microwave. no worktops, one tiny little cupboard highup for food that no one could reach. Pans in bottom of sinkunit, no shelf, coverd in dead silverfish, ants everywhere. Maids not friendly at all and didnt clean properly. Never cleaned sinks or bath all 2wks there. Beds, matresses andpillows hard, and smelly, might aswell slept on the floor. Worst holiday iv EVER had. I`m nearly 63 and well travelled for years, but never had a holiday like that with Thmas Cook, I`m really shocked its in their Broshure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ash1971 Beautiful stalis Crete
Great family holiday in stalis Crete. We stayed at Koni village. We chose a low apartment near reception and was the best choice. As a lover of stalis with its easy go life, pleasant people, lovely food and more to the point a beautiful island hence my 3rd visit to stalis alone. Would recommend Koni village but even more stalis is a must. I will be returning next year :)
