Going back in Sept for 3rd time as this place is excellent. Food good, staff brilliant & lovely complex. After your 2 weeks are up you will wish you booked 3 weeks. If leaving on a night flight Don't worry about missing your last day in the sun after you have checked out as you can store your luggage in a locked room & enjoy the sun. There is a shower room with shampoo & wash for you to use & towels & hairdryers too. So you don't miss out on your last day nor do you have to guard your luggage. No need for a late room checkout at 50 euros a room. The shower room is located down the ramp to the right of the main entrance beside the side entrance to the main dining area. Anyway if you are going to this gem of a place , enjoy. & weeks to go till I'm there. Can't wait.

3rd visit and still brilliant!
In May 2014 we returned to the Creta Panorama and Mare for the THIRD time but on this occasion, my 94 years old father came with us for two weeks of all-inclusive enjoyment. We immediately felt at home as we were greeted by familiar faces as this is a hotel with a low turnover of staff and a friendly and cheerful atmosphere that, amazingly for a place of its size, has a 'family' feel - and we felt like one of the family. For dad, this was new to him BUT he was welcomed and looked after in exactly the same way.
This is also a very 'disabled-friendly' hotel with ramps, lifts and assistance where and when needed which from dad's point of view was perfect and allowed him to move around from room to dining areas to bars to poolside and so on with relative ease and this was backed up by the number of older guests that tend to arrive in early and mid May.
As can be seen from my review, the facilities were excellent and on this occasion, a simple e-mail to the management not only got us the room we liked but also ensured hat dad was in the room next door - and his comments matched ours exactly.
In the dining areas we had help to find a table every day plus any further assistance if we needed it, from a wonderfully polite and efficient team of people. For one of his age, dad ate well and was usually well satisfied with the choice and quality of the food - as were we. A trip to the bar after dinner was always met with a cheery smile and prompt service - and once our order was known, we barely had to ask, save to make the odd change. The choice and quality here was also very extensive and if they had the ingredients, it was no trouble to make whatever we requested. Again, we felt like members of a big family rather than simply 'guests'.
Once more we feel the need to highlight and praise the incredibly hard-working and energetic Animation Team who, despite reduced numbers in the early season, provided activities in the day and shows in the evening of high quality. As previous guests we were again well remembered and welcomed in the 'family' way that is the hallmar of this hotel, and that included dad whose age and past life experiences were a source of interest to this team. Even he described them as 'fantastic' and wondered where they got the energy from! They appeal to many nationalities with their highly visual approach to entertainment and work very hard to maintain and improve standards - indeed, the holiday would be great value for them alone.
Part of us would like to say this is a terrible place that nobody should go to so that we can keep this gem of a hotel a secret BUT that would not be fair and we hope more people find what we did. There are quite a number of 'regulars' who have been returning for many years and we intend to go back in May 2015 if possible - and that says it all to us.

Poor quality room
Excellent complex, great gardens, swimming pools, good food and excellent staff.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere but that's what we wanted.
Our room looked shabby, the shower trickled and the bathroom needed a refit as did the complete room. The room looked well used and shabby. However it was clean and room service was very good as was reception any problems and they were sorted immediately. The fridge was not stocked as I have had in other all inclusive hotels I have stayed in. When we arrived there was 2 medium size bottles of water. I feel soft drinks should be added. The fridge was old and rusty.
At evening meal it was a free for all no waiter service at all not even with drinks. There was never enough cups and saucers and tables were slow at being cleared it felt rushed and to busy not a relaxing experience. I must add the food choice was excellent.
Also the information on where to have lunch I feel was poor. I think it should have been more detailed the same to be said of booking the theme dinner the Head waiter was always to busy so maybe reception should handle those bookings.

Another EXCELLENT Fortnight
Let me begin by saying we went here in May 2012 for 14 nights. It was so good we went back in May 2013 for the same period, something we have NEVER done with any other hotel or resort! We want to be back in 2014 again - so much did we like it.
The minor criticism concerns the cleaning - could have vacuumed better especially under bed, but that was the only complaint. Rooms were neat and tidy with sitting space, balcony with excellent views, a fridge with bottled water plus whatever we added, decent bath/shower etc. IF we needed something, such as extra pillows or hangers, we simply asked and it was delivered. This is a very good 4* but NOT a 5* and as long as people remember that and simply ask at reception or wherever, there is never a problem!
Food was excellent with plenty of choice. Dining area can get busy at breakfast and dinner and tables not re-set as quickly as some like but again, ASK a member of staff and they do it. ALL the staff have a happy demeanour and are so helpful and polite - so ASK.
Bars are brilliant and staffed with yet more cheerful, friendly and helpful people who welcome you in. Can't see what you want? Then ASK and its amazing what they can do.
As said, ALL staff are so helpful and cheerful. My early swim in one of the pools was always greeted with a cheery 'Good Morning' (in Greek of course) by those cleaning around ready for the day.
The Animation Team at this hotel are simply AMAZING and work 12 - 14 hours a day with seemingly boundless energy! Where they get it from beats me but I wish I knew the secret. They entertain, they organise, they encourage but never push or force and they even look after the kiddies. They make you feel like a personal friend too as they freely come over and talk. As this was our second visit we felt like friends of the family!
If you like good sunbathing. Rest. Fun. Good food and drink AND are prepared to play your part and engage with staff, you will really love this place - in fact I want to keep it secret really so why am I telling you this?

Great rest in Panorama Hotel with little "rasp" in the end.
Excellent cuisine - varied meals - every person could find something tasty, good clean hotel, a huge area to walk, six swimming pools but ( ATTENTION!!!) - only one is with freshwater!!!! Five others were like too salty soup!!! If You come at night and You leave the hotel at night too , You should expect that staff will insist to make free Your hotelroom at noon. The rest of very sunny last day You will spend with Your luggage in the main hall of the hotel or You'll pay 60 euros to stay till 9:00 pm in Your room.
