Great entertainment and it was good that the children's club covered a wide range of ages so they could go in together. Excellant water slides for older children. Good accommodation and kept really clean. Good range of food but queues were a bit long at times. The hills were tricky with a pushchair but meant there were great views. Kids paradise a great way to give the children a bit of independence safely. The walk to the town/port was a good distance and plenty of shops on the way.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kel1323 Very disappointed
Would not recommend this hotel at all if you have children, like entertainment and decent food! It is in the middle of nowhere and the hotel has no evening entertainment at all!! The food was awful, never hot, hardly anything english and definitely nothing for children except chips, always a queue and always running out! The snack bar was ok, bu there was a notice saying it was only for the kids!! Ice-cream was only served from 3-5.30pm which is disgusting when you are paying for unlimited ice-cream and by 3 the day is almost over! The kids got bored in the evening! Definitely not a 4 star hotel and would not return. We flew out on 3rd May and were not told that things would not be open. None of the water parks were open til the day we went home!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by BIDDY VERY ENJOYABLE FAMILY HOLIDAY IN HERONISSOS
We had a great time at the Mareblue in Hersonissos. The hotel was clean and the food was of a very good standard. Beautiful location with lovely view and several buses a day to the town. Staff were friendly and the kids club was a great success. Downside was that we could never get a sunbed during the day, and the restaurant regularly ran out of drinks and cutlery although these were eventually re stocked.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Linda4 Disappointing venue, not good value for money
Hotel classified as 4 star but it is definately not! Dining was like a cattle market, always queues, some food cold by the time you had finished queing and not very appetising! Not enough staff, always a queue at the bar! Entertainment in the evening but always geared to children.
Very poor value for money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by evie19081995 ok value for money but not 4 star
The rooms are basic but clean and tidy, air conditioning is not great even with all doors and window shut as instructed. hotel built on steep hillside as stated so flat shoes are a must. The pools are great for kids with lots of choice, water slides are a bonus. The daytime entertainment is good for younger children but children aged 11-12 seem to be left out. The entertainment on a night is not so good most is in theatre which has stone steps with wooden seats that are falling to bits bar is too far away from evening entertainment so you cant get up to get a drink. The food seemed nice and fresh although same usual repetative stuff you get for all inclusive. The queues for snack bar, drinks and evening food were very long no matter what time you went. Overall ok for money but i think should be 3 star not 4.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lisa Originally told when checking in complex was full and could we stay in one of their villas with private pool for first two nights which was 5 mins walk...however was not advised this was an uphill journey!!
After one night requested to move into complex to stay with the rest of our family that had been there for one week already. This was arranged and settled in much better. Resort had plenty to do. Great for families. All inclusive ends at 11pm so not great if you are into nightlife as drinks after 11pm were quite expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by snoopy Lovely week in Crete
We really enjoyed our week at Mareblue Village.
It is a lovely resort, very clean with well kept gardens and surroundings, although it is set on a hill.
The apartment was very clean and spacious, with tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge.
The all inclusive food and drink was very good.
There are four pools on the resort, we used the Relax pool area, which was adults only so fairly quiet.
The entertainment team of Clare, Anya and Jason were very good especially the evening shows - the singing and dancing was excellent.
(Please note - we actually booked with Olympic Holidays but there is no option to state this).
