Fantastic place to stay
We have just come back from our holiday at Stella Palace and we have loved every minute of it!
Everything was just perfect: lovely staff, delicious food with lots of greek options, plenty to do for our 3-year-old, beautiful setting, lots of sunbeds (and mini sunbeds for the children), large clean rooms.
The buffets were fantastic quality, very fresh and catering to all tastes. Particular highlights were the baklavas in the dessert section, and the show cooking (pancakes, omelettes and donuts at breakfast, steak, kebabs etc for lunch and dinner).
Every single member of staff we spoke to was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
The pool areas are great, and the "loud" activities like water aerobics etc. are all held in a separate pool, which means the other main pool is nice and quiet. There are water slides in another pool near the beach which are suitable for toddlers.
The bars are all lovely, with a wide selection of free drinks (different free cocktails every day) and cake and ice cream through the day if you fancy a snack.
Our room was very nice, quite large, and we had a lovely terrace. The bathroom was a decent size but did get flooded after every shower (although this seems pretty standard in Greece as it has been the case for us on every single Greek holiday). There are nice little touches like slippers, shower cap etc.
The beach is lovely, with enough free sunbeds and umbrellas and a jetty to break the waves so it is nice and peaceful.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would be very happy to go again.

goid family hotel
We stayed first week in June 2014. Great help being taken to your room in a buggy rather than trekking with heavy suitcases not knowing where to go. Kids area was great. Our son loved playing and we were able to watch him from.sunbeds. Kids club exceeded our expectations. Our son went three times and each time came out with a bundle of items he had made or decorated. Really good at creative and pretend play!. The only negatives about our stay was limited choice for our son which he mainly just had to eat chips, bread and ketchup. Fish fingers and chicken nuggets were only available on one night each. Same kids entertainment every night which started at nine and lack of adult entertainment. Beaches are full of pebbles and rocks so rather impossible to swim or take long walk on the beach. Evening meals started at 7 which was ideal with a young child. Lovley bar next to hotel on the left!!

Great Holiday for all the Family
If I start by saying my daughter is still sad that we are still not at Stella Palace 7 days after returning probably sums it up. A great place to stay with everything you needed on site. We had a 2 bedroom family room, which was just the right size for all of us. The bathroom was also a good size but found that the shower screen didn't come down to the bath , which flooded the bathroom eveytime we had a shower. However, we found out this was the norm as there was a drain in the middle of the bathroom floor. Everywhere you went was exceptionally clean, your room would be cleaned every day and there was always somebody tidying up. The Bar staff were brilliant especially Costa, Magda and Gorgio down at the bar on the see front. Always smiling and very friendly. My son is the most fussiest eaters in the world but even he was pleasantly suprised with the variety on offer and wwe all came back slightly heavier than when we went. The entertainers where also great especially Zulu who was very funny especially when we played Darts. Only downside was we had to pay for the Wifi and couldn't find anywhere to watch teh Monaco Grand Prix.

Wonderful family holiday!
We had a great time at Stella Palace. I think it's a perfect package holiday for families with young children. We only had one negative. The hotel rooms are a little dated, and laid out strangely, I think. A family room is one big room with a partition in the middle and the kids single beds are the patio door side. In the evenings, when the kids were asleep, we wanted to sit out on patio and didn't want to disturb kids, so we pushed singles together and we had that room, while kids had double. Apart from that, a great hotel. Food was lovely, and different themed nights meant you didn't get bored. And the three pools were amazing. The highlight for us though was the kids club. The staff were so lovely and my 6 and 4 yr olds adored them. They had such fun they would have gone to every session if we'd allowed them!!! My son actually got a little teary when he had to say goodbye to Sophie!! They looked forward to the kids disco every night too. At first I thought 9pm was way too late but kids body clocks adjusted and they just slept in later!! (Hey, we're on holiday after all!!) . All in all, had a fab time. Thanks Thomas Cook x

On Honeymoon. ..couldn't have picked any better
My wife and I stayed here from the 6th of May for two weeks with our 3 young children aged 15 months 10 and 12 wee stayed here on our honeymoon and wee could not have asked for better. When wee arrived the check in was very quick and wee waited at the front door and a golf buggy brought our family and luggage too our room. Wee had booked a double room family room and requested ground floor because of the baby, the room was absolutely fantastic and looked out over one of the pools. This complex really has it all the staff are very friendly and the barmen like to get to know you and always up for a chat. The food in the restaurant is always good and plenty of choice, the Asian restaurant is a must visit in fact wee paid and went back again. I would definitely recommend this complex to families and those looking a relexing holiday wee would go back in a heartbeat. My son actually won a free week all inclusive stay back here through the raffles that the animation team put on so all in all a wonderful honeymoon and thanks to Thomas Cook for recommending this to us a very satisfied family

It was a good holiday but could be improved from the hotel side of things
Just come back (end of June 2013) Positives were the grounds and the layout were great, pools, ecpecially the kids pirate ship pool were fantastic. Thomas Cook Kids Club exceeded our expectations when they delivered a birthday present for our 4 year old. Mini Club (the hotel kids club) was also good with a disco everynight for the kids. you are allowed 1 visited to their asain restraunt foc which was really nice and would recommend.
The negatives were definatley the choices of food for the toddlers and we struggled every day but one when they put chicken nuggets and fish fingers on. They did not even do ice cream for their dessert. Water was an issue, they dont do bottled water as like other all inclusives I have been to in the past just water dispenced in a cup, when we asked the waiters and bar staff we were told it was just tap water (which our rep had already advised us not to drink) so we ended up buying bottled water from the shop. Restraunt service also was poor in a few areas such as 1 jug of milk for the cereal table which was in the kitchen more than it was on the table, 1 coffee machine with huge queues, and slow waiter/ess service who were needed to get your drinks as there were not readily available like other all inclusives I been to.
The cups they used for the drinks were quite small and only filled them 3/4's full so it was many trips to the bar during the daytime. Which leads me on to the service... bar service appaulled me, mainly night time, they left you stood there ages while they chatted, they never served in any order. Communication was not great, I found that the cleaners communicated better than the receptinist, bar staff and entertainment team put together.
As already said tho lovely hotel but not much arround it... nice hotel beach and rock pools a bit further up, we did get the road train to the port which was a nice day out and did notice something called Star Beach which was a lovely looking water type park for the younger kids FOC entry too but we ran out of time to go.
I also read Free Wifi in reception but it wasnt free.....

Third return to Stella Palace - Crete
Our holidays at Stella Palace near the village of Analipsi have been perfect for us with our disabled son of 23. The hotel itself, the proximity to the beach and village, and trips to Hersonissos, allow us to rest when we need to and explore when we want too.
The reception area is modern, bright, and the staff are very friendly and efficient. We find the restaurant is well run and we always enjoy the menus. The visits to the a la carte ELIA restaurant are always a pleasure. The pools are lovely for our son and are always very clean.
Each time we have been we have found the Thomas Cook representatives very helpful if we have needed advice about coaches or the airport and this year Jason was no exception. Stella Palace really does provide every thing we need for a great holiday.

Perfect Family Holiday
Perfect for a young family. The pools are great and the food is lovely- they have something for everyone and do theme nights 3 times a week (Fish, Greek & Italian).
The entertainment was good for the kids- it was not in English very often and we did feel it was aimed more at the foreign guests but the kids could not tell the difference and danced away learning all the moves!
The beach was small but lovely, the sea was very shallow and the beach was well maintained and cleaned frequently. There was a bigger beach further down the road if you wanted to venture out.
Rooms were pretty basic but clean and had everything you needed. The bathroom was lovely and tiled- we also had a bath which is great when you have children!
Would recommend the train trip which pulls up outside the Stella Village every 30 mins or so and it takes you into Hersonissis via a scenic route. A great way to see this part of the island.
Over all a great holiday, would definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone with small children.
The only downside was that there was not much to do outside the hotel- a few hidden (and empty) bars lined the side streets so it may not be an ideal holiday if you have younger adults with you who may like to venture outside the hotel during the evening.
Miss this place so much and can't stop looking through my photos!
