Overall the accommodation was good however the rooms were very basic and the pictures which are on this website are not full representatives of what you are actually staying in. For the first two days we had no working fridge and your room is not equip with cutlery or any cooking facilities other than a kettle. We asked for cutlery and we were told we had to buy plastic ones from the local supermarket. I also think the breakfast could be served at a more appropriate time considering not many people are awake from 8.30-10.30 so we are all missing out in what we have paid for. Also I was getting a fine for getting makeup on my face towel which I think is ridiculous because the staff only noticed because we had to take them to reception to ask for new towels because we had not had any for over 5/6 days. Also they tell you free wifi and I think it worked for me for 2 days out of my 11 there.
The staff make the holiday because they are so interactive and welcoming. (Especially kostas, Micky and Kim). However I wouldn't stay at this hotel again it is very over rated when it is just a basic hotel with basis services.

I have to admit I was a bit dubious when my wife told me she had booked Kavos for her 40th (us being "mature travellers"), however her choice of hotel was absolutely spot on! The Morfeas hotel is far enough from the strip to allow a fairly decent sleep, but lets face it you have to expect noise in a place like Kavos! The hotel is family run and every member of the staff made you feel welcome and made a point of asking, and remembering, your name. The food is excellent and fairly priced. The pool area large and very clean. I would definitely return to the Morfeas (my wife is already looking at September!) I would like to point out however that the Morfeas is not advertised as an 18-30 hotel yet "Escapades" bookings are being sent there.

Excellent Holiday in Kavos....would definitly go back again!
My friend and me went to Kavos late Sept 12, didn;t really know what to expect as it was the end of peak season but there was still plenty to do in the evenings.
The Morfeas Hotel was great, all the staff are very helpful, friendly and polite. The rooms are basic and kept clean (at the end of the day you only need somewhere to sleep and freshen up). The food in the hotel was good value for money and very tasty. We did try a Restaurant on The Strip but the quality of food and attitude of staff was very poor, so ate at the Hotel every evening.
Overall a brilliant holiday, excellent resort and hotel, would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a 'lively' holiday - you're never to old to party!

Worst hotel ever!!!
If you are under 20 or only care about partying and not where you sleep or how much sleep you get this is the hotel for you. If you are interested in a nice room to sleep in and getting a good amount of sleep to make use of your holiday time by doing things during the day then do not stay here!!!
Upon checking in we were made to give in our passports and they were kept behind reception in plain sight of everyone and not kept secured. Anyone could have stolen these.
We paid for a three star hotel but there is no way that this hotel was a 3*. Even the hotel couldn’t rate itself a 3* so how can Thomas Cook? (there was a sign on the door that said 2*)
Our room was next to the reception, bar and restaurant, we had to wear earplugs to try to sleep but still only got about 4 hrs a night due to loud music until 3/4am, people talking in reception (staff as well as guests), and items being dragged across the floor making a high pitched scraping noise in adjacent rooms from 6am every morning and sometimes at night. We kept closing the door to the reception but were told by the staff not to.
Ironically they had ’10 commandments’ posted on the door, one of which stated ‘please keep doors closed as sound echoes around marbled corridors’ another stated ‘please keep noise to a minimum as there are other guests in the hotel’. They should listen to their own rules. We spoke with another couple who stayed along the same corridor and they had the same problems.
Obviously Corfu in September is hot, you want to get some air into the room by opening the ‘balcony’ door and bathroom window, but can’t due to the noise and unbearable sewage smell.
The general decor and cleanliness was terrible. There were stains on the walls, sheets and towels were only changed 3X in 7nts, the fridge was dirty and noisy, the kettle didn’t work and we needed a new one, the shower head and shower curtain pole were broken, the bathroom flooded each time we showered and the toilet didn’t flush properly. The beer in the pool bar was shown as a pint but was 400ml, false advertising and a fiddle. We paid for B+B, two slices of stale toast, a croissant and powdered orange juice isn’t breakfast (food in Kavos is cheap enough anyway so go self-catering).
People will say if you want a quiet holiday don’t go to Kavos, we didn’t expect a quiet holiday but did expect to sleep for more than 4/5 hours. We’re confused by the reviews, the only reasoning for them is the people leaving them must only care about partying, not their room, probably started their evening in the hotel and came back to their room, which probably wasn’t near the bar, after the music had stopped, so wouldn’t be faced with these issues. As for people putting that the hotel room is clean or amazing, we must have got one of the awful rooms and must be some nice ones, shame you can’t pick your room if this is the case.
You should have a phone in your room as well but we didn't, I spent a lot of money using the internet (because they had disabled the wi-fi) as I had to communicate with people back home but had a phone been in the room I would have saved a lot of money. The receptionist said there was a problem with the phone line due to damp.
We want to balance the review so we do have a few good points, the location is perfect, a short walk from everything (but the hotel Plaza, just up from the Morfeas, is also a perfect location, it looks nicer and we didn’t notice a smell). Also we used the hotel restaurant once, the food was good and the service was exceptional. Their pool is in a great location to get the sun all day (but you cannot take any of your own food or drink into the pool, even water!!!)
We would go back to Kavos again but never ever go back to the Morfeas, we spoke to people (locals) who recommended other places to stay.

The place to stay in Kavos!
This is the first time I've wrote a review so here it goes.
This was my first experience in Kavos and the Morfeas Hotel and I'm going back next year! Now if that doesn't say enough then I don't know what would. I am home now looking at Morfeas 2013!! My friend stayed in this hotel a few weeks prior to us travelling and she said it was the best hotel in Kavos and I totally agree!! (She's planning on going back too!)
We arrived early morning on the Monday and directed straight to our hotel room. We were in D Block (Self Catering) and it was fantastic. We were neighbours with the next door hotel and didn't hear anything at all. We had no noise problems or anything. The location is definitely 10/10. You far enough away from the strip you hear nothing but close enough to walk in if you fancy it. We walked into the strip every evening, minutes from the beach and minutes from local restaurants, with a super market right round the corner. Excellent location! I would highly recommend eating in the hotel though. The food is good, really reasonably priced with a great range & brilliant portions! We ate out a couple of nights and it was just floating in oils & vinegars etc etc (Not tasty!)
Definitely value for money!! It's all about the team there! They are absolutely amazing, extremely friendly, bent over backwards for any requests or questions you had.. Always there to assist, and always cheery!
I went with 3 other girls and we just went for a chilled out sunny holiday. Which we could do. We had some nights where we came back to the hotel early and got to sleep straight away. Always welcomed when we walked through the door of the hotel and asked if everything was okay. The Pool Party is a must, I have never laughed so much!! HUGH value for money.
With the Olympics on too while we were there, the coverage they did was superb! With multiply screens showing different events throughout the day & at the same time.
Drinks are not watered down like they are on the strip, so everything is genuine.
Mickey and the whole team made our week the most amazing week. I also can't forget our Rep Sean! Nothing was too much trouble for him, always at the hotel everyday and walking around talking to us all as if we were part of a family. Not over powering or in your face, but had a fantastic spirit! Over-all a great ambassador for Thomas Cook. Please be there next year! We really didn't want to come home. Everyone mentioned the "holiday blues". Normally by the end of the week I'm ready to go home, but I actually didn't want to!! But like they said, you can go home and come back!!
Me and the girls felt extremely safe staying at this hotel with the team always there on hand to assist us with any questions or requirements.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Kavos. It was the most amazing experience of my life. Morfeas Hotel 2013 here we come... but there will be more of us though!
