We did not expect to much due to the very reasonable price, but had one of the best holidays!!!! quality of the food was excellent! and the service by the friendly s
taff was superb, nothing was too much trouble!!! the Hotel is in a lovely position with a lovely clean beach, and lagoon area!!!! the hotel although big never felt crowded. The pools and surrounding areas were immaculate!! someone always cleaning! which is very typical in Egypt!!!! The pool toilets were spotless at all times which for me is a most! The entertainment was very professional and not in your face. The garden areas were beautifully kept, and very relaxing to wonder round. If I had to find some thing to fault it would be very hard, but there was one thing if I was being picking and that was the state of some of the upholstery on some of the dinning room chairs. They were very shabby, and this is a shame because the rest of the hotel is immaculate. I would definitely recommend a holiday at this resort and hotel, and will be returning again next year!!

I stayed here in March with my mom and sister, celebrating my mom's 50th birthday. We chose this hotel as it was 5 star and had good reviews.
Things to point out...
Once you get used to the 'all inclusive' at Intercont then it's dead easy. It should be noted that this hotel is offered to others countries as B&B, half board etc, so not every guest is all inc! It all works by room number!
We did upgrade our room to a Suite as there were 3 ADULTS in a room, and the 3rd bed was basically a camp bed on arrival, which the travl company DID NOT clearly state. As 3 full paying adults, i wasn't impressed by this, so really we had no alternative but to upgrade, in order for the 3 of us to get full sized twin beds. The guest relations staff were really helpful and went out of their way to accomodate us, and even arranged for a birthday cake to celebrate my moms birthday! Just be aware if there are 3 of you, one will sleep on a camp bed, unless you get a second room or upgrade the room!!
Good points...
Winter sun!!! apart from one afternoon of cloud, the sun was amazing!! sunshine hours are fairly short as the heat goes out of the sun at around 4:30pm in March, but when its hot, it is hot! approx 30-35 degrees every day- bliss! not many places you can pay £500 a week to get that kind of sun in winter!
All rooms are of a great standard - clean, have great showers, clean towels daily, etc. The room quality cant really be faulted. You even get sun loungers, patio furniture on your balcony!
Staff cannot do enough for you - especially the Pool Bar/ Lagoon bar staff who work really really hard to make your holiday amazing. Cocktails at 4pm when the sun starts going in is a MUST!
Food - i really CANNOT fault the food at this hotel at all - i have stayed in a number of all inc hotels, and previously stayed in Sharm, and this hotel had something for everyone. There is always fresh bread, great deserts, fruit, rotissered chicken at lunch and roast beef on an evening. As long as you dont pile a load of random food on a plate, then i cant see how anyone could complain. I will admitt to being a fairly fussy eater and I ate 3 course meals every meal time!
We paid an additional charge for the 'romantic' meal on the lagoon which was great value for money- as it was a special occassion this way WELL worth doing!! we had a 4 course meal on the candlelit jetee overlooking the lagoon - it was simply..WOW! definitely something to do for a loved one/ special occassion.
On walking up the strip of hotels in Taba Heights, the Intercont definitely has the best grounds and on first impressions looks the nicest out of all 5 of the nearby hotels. The lagoon is just jaw dropping!!
I would definitely return here and wouldnt hesitate to go back again next winter.
