Apart from the flights with Thomas Cook which had no leg room and deplorable food, our holiday on ms Terramar was amazing. The Terramar is the smallest of the Sunris
e fleet, but was no less comfortable because of that. Although it is said it is the slowest ship on the Nile and we watched many ships pass us, who is in a hurry on holiday? The food from breakfast to dinner was varied and outstanding, the crew attentive to any needs, and extremely friendly. Unless you are a heavy drinker, our advice would be not to do all inclusive, which can be arranged on arrival. Our on board tour guide, Amir Haggag, was very knowledgeable, good fun with a wicked English sense of humour. All in all a highly recommended holiday.

We were on the Terramar at the beginning of Sept 2011 for a week. We had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed our tombing, templing and sailing up the Nile, so mu
ch so we are hoping to do it all again next year. To be able to visit sites, touch items and see the scenery that we've only been able to see on the TV and for Egyptology to be an interest of ours was superb.
The boat was beautifully furnished and decorated in a thirties style, we were made to feel very much at home by all the crew and nothing was to much trouble and always done with a smile.
The food was always excellent and very plentifull with buffey style breakfast and lunch, Dinner was formal (whiched added to the thirties style) with everyone dressing as per the dress code. Dinner was a sit down four course meal served to the table by the Restaurant Staff and management.
Our only disapointment was the state of the carpet that was in the corridor outside our suite (303) and lead to the Royal Suites, suprisingly it was very badly fitted and not very clean due to stains, also our bath panel and shower screen required re-sealing as the sealant was dirty, mouldy and coming away, this was a suprise as when we mentioned it we were told the boat had just been refurbished.
Watch out for the brilliant towel sculptures left daily in the suites by House Keeping.
Our trips out to see the tombs and temples was brillant and better than we thought it would be, our Egyiptologist and guide, Mohamed, was excellent, he was extremely enthusiastic about passing on all his knowledge, whether at an archilogical site or back on the boat. He always had time to answer any questions thrown at him, no matter the subject. He also ensured we were all well briefed before we arrived at the various sites we visited, Mohamed also kept an eye on us when we were at the small markets that appear at all the sites to ensure we were not being hasselled to much by the hawkers, He had just the right approach where they could come to us and we could buy if we wanted to but he was alway there if needed.
Our Rep, Suzie, was brilliant as well, not that we needed her help very much, she does, like everyone else go out of her way to ensure everyones stay goes with out a hitch. Thanks to Suzie over hearing it was our Silver Wedding this year and telling the Restaurant & Bar Manager on the MS Terramar we had a surprise cake broght out to us during one of the party nights.
In conclusion this was the best holiday we've had, we were doing somthing we have always wanted to do, seeing places we've always wanted to see and being looked after by a crew of extremely pleasent and helpful people that could not stop smiling.
A heart felt thanks from us to Mohamed, Suzie and the whole crew of the MS Terramar. See you all next year, with a bit of luck.

Just come back from the best holiday ever.We have been to many places on holiday and never had the
service, food or friendship we experienced on this Nile Cruiser. Th
e waiters were fantastic they couldn't do enough for us,especially Yusef [Joseph] Mustaffa and all the other waiters. My sister in law
who travelled with us was a vegeterian and was worried about what she would be given to eat, but
Lolo the Head Chef looked after her so well she had fabulous food and so did all of us, i would like to thank them all. There are 20 suites on this boat they are all large and spotlessly clean. Towels changed
twice daily and some great towel art. Smile the guide made our trips so interesting, we all know alot
more about the Ancient Egyptians now. When you arrive back on board for lunch they are waiting
for you with cold wet towels and mint tea to cool you down, just heaven. Do your Nile Cruise on the
MS TERRAMAR we heard bad reports about some of the other Nile Cruisers.
ENJOY!!!!! we are sure you will. Sue,John,Cathy& Dave. [LIVERPOOL]

September 2009 saw our second Nile cruise on the Sunrise m/s Terramar, the first being in 2008. Almost immediately we came back from the first holiday, we went strai
ght out to our local Thomas Cook shop and booked the same again. In fact we've booked again for 2010. I can highly recommend this boat. It is a relatively small Nile cruise vessel, consisting of only 20 cabins. This makes for a very personal and intimate atmosphere. All the boat staff from the boat manager downwards are very polite and friendly and the on board cuisine is excellent. If you want to experience the sights of Ancient Egypt then this is the cruise for you. For both the included and optional off boat tours, you will be allocated an excellent English speaking guide
