There have been some big changes at the Cyprotel Cypria Maris (formerly the Riu Cypria Maris), which relaunched as an adult-only hotel in summer 2012. New additions include a very cool open-plan lobby bar with floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the sea view, and stylish superior rooms with added benefits. This relaxing hotel is the perfect choice for couples.

As a mature couple we went here in July 2012. Absolutely fabulous holiday. Hotel is situated right on the beach so we had the use of pool or sea, Sunbeds always available, we didn't have to get up at 6.30am to save beds as we have in the past. Big selection of food, something for everyone. The evening entertainment was great and very varied, sometimes singers, majicians, dancing etc. Very relaxing holiday as not a child in sight, the bar and restaurant experience was so much nicer because of this. We would definitely go back, we may go back in Septermber.

We had a wonderful hoilday in the cypria Maris. Its is a nice quiet place staff helpful.

Having returned yesterday from 11 nights at the Cypria Maris,i can say that we enjoyed our stay immensly, however, a couple of small points. The food although plentiful and varied seemed to go cold very quickly on the plate and the soup was invariably tepid. The staff were very helpfull and corteous ,the drinks good. overall a good hotel in a good location certainly on the right side of Paphos. The only thing that spioled the holiday was flying with Thomas Cook airways. 8 hours delay outbound with little or no information as to why( eventually flew in a thompson aircraft ) and 3 hour delay coming home

The Cypria Maris Hotel was lovely and staff could not do enough to accommodate my requirements to change my room overlooking a busy and noisy road and quad bike stall, they changed my room to a much better room and view within a couple of days. The hotel is clean and right on the beach, staff are friendly, pool is lovely, plenty sunbeds by pool and the beach. The only downside was the food was slightly repeatative and the meat options were often quite fatty, although the chicken was ok. Could do with sandwhichs/rolls with cold meats/cheeses on a lunchtime as an alternative option to cooked meals all the time. Also you can only dine outside for evening meals if you're booked in for the once weekly Al La Carte or steak theme nights, otherwise you have to eat in the indoor restaurant.
The flights were on time but very cramped with limited space making it uncomfortable.

Great Bedroom Bathroom Could do with been updated , still very clean beds comfy, view from our room 315 was stunning lovely pool area , modern furniture wast to our taste and wast cosy if you had problrms as some seniors do , great team of entertainers Charlie & Chris , but the other entertainment was poor, however it didt spoil my holiday as I had gone with the idea of just relaxing,we paid for the flambe meal which was outstanding both for value and for the meal it self overall Great Holiday

I have never written a review on any holiday before. This hotel is excellent, cleanliness is without question, rooms are cleaned every day to the highest standard, location is right on the beach for you sun worshippers, bar and waiter/waitress staff always with a smile. Large and varied food selection. I am a fussy eater but always found something nice for each meal. The cakes and pastries you will find irresistible. Overall a hotel you would return to and recommend.

The entertainment in the evening was poor. Lack of background music in the reception/foyer area gave off a poor atmosphere. Two nights there was a saxophonist who was very good but the other nights were just dead.
The Animation team appeared at 9.30 pm to run bingo and then disappeared after 10.45 pm each evening and left the hotel guests with no entertainment.
Everything else about the hotel was fantastic but lack of entertainment throughout the day and evening would stop us visiting the hotel again.

The holiday was excellent. We got married there near the beach. It was so stress free and organised so well by Thomas Cook. The wedding coordinator was friendly and extremely helpful. The staff at the Cypria Maris could not do enough for us. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and venue.
