Fab Pool, good size accommodation, some improvements needed.
This was our fourth stay at this hotel, this time with other family members including small children. The pool is fab - can't fault it and the childrens section is ideal. The new sunloungers were a welcome update.
The rooms whilst very spacious and clean are now in need of a facelift - decor and furniture a bit tired looking and could do with upgrading.
The biggest disappointment was the food - whilst we only really had breakfast at the hotel the standard had dropped noticeably from previous visits. The quantity of choice and quality of some things had definitely dropped eg. only cheap margarine for toast (previously butter), juice in machines barely more than coloured water - heavily watered down. The service at breakfast was also poor - tables took ages to be cleared and cleaned after use for future diners. High chairs were apalling - very few available, poor quality and filthy - again not cleaned after use so had to clean them ourselves before we could use them. The food being offered at breakfast was very slow to be replenished as was the crockery etc. Frequently had to ask for plates/dishes.
On the subject of food, personally we would like the option to go on a bed and breakfast or room only basis rather than the minimum half board offered by Thomas Cook. The hotel offer B & B only themselves and in order for the local area to continue to thrive local bars and restaurants need some business too. Not everyone wants a holiday where you never leave your hotel complex!!
One other point to mention is the lack of English speaking TV channels available - really only BBC World News. Surely in this day and age satellite TV should be provided?
Having said all of the above we will return to this hotel next year as we do feel all in all the location suits us very well, the beach across the road is we feel the best in the area and access to the centre of Ayia Napa is just a quick bus or taxi ride away. Hopefully the Tsokkos group will invest some money in this hotel in the very near future to bring it back up to a good standard.

worst holiday in nissi bay
This was our first stay at Tsokkos Paradise, didnt want to unpack when we arrived but the accomodation grew on me.The pool areas were very good and always clean. Rooms were cleaned every day and fresh linen and towels every day.The meals and were appaling the meat no sorry the fat and bones were horrible and salads not much better.Breakfast was ok but we ended up eating out on a number of nights other wise we have had not much at all.
We love the area and have stayed in Nissi Bay a number of times that was the only bonus. Will never stay here again.

very poor value for you payed for!
myself and my partner just returned from staying here 29/8/12-5/9/12 half board. Room was average what you expect really. We had a studio so was able to have a kitchenette which seemed the better option. Pool was quite big and clean and lots of sunbeds. FOOD WAS AWFUL! there is no way the percentage was average 60% it was way way below standard.I wouldn't even feed some of it to my dog! Only one section of hot food, one section of deserts and one section of sides to choose from so if you didn't like what was there, tuff!!! didn't seem to cater for everyone. i am very adventurous with my food and i even turned my nose up!. not all food was clearly labelled so you didn't actually know what it was! If i had of gone all inclusive i would have severely disappointed. not many English at hotel at all so that's why they didn't cater food wise.
Location wasn't ideal. to get to Ayia Napa centre be prepared for a 45-60 minute walk! so local bus for 1 euro everywhere was standard. few stranded shops near but at a long walk. Not very much to do at night unless you catch a bus somewhere (which are always jam packed) Hotel entertainment was dreadful.
The beach across the road ( Golden Landa beach) was actually lovely, big but also quiet and very clean. water sports available at reasonable price.beach was best part spent everyday there.
