My sister and her partner was in Cyprus for 10 days an me and my boyfriend was going as was my mum an dad to be with them for there last 3 days as we could only go f
or 7 days my mother an father
Was going for 14 me and my boyfriend booked with Thomas cook was to fly out at 11am 7th sept my mum and dad choose firstchoice an was flying out 9am 7th sept so we all booked in holiday inn the night before we got there to receive a phone call to say we were going to b delayed until 5 pm so my mum and dad went as there flight was on time we got to the airport at 2.30 after they kept delaying another hour and another hour and another hour they then told us we were not going I ended up so I'll with sickness and dihoera. As I had never flown on my own an was so upset as my family were getting in a state worrying about us an were all in Cyprus they took us all to hotel with no information they then put a note Under door in the middle of the night if I hadn't been up all night with sickness we wouldn't of known wot time we was to leave we had to b at airport for 7am still feeling really I'll (spent £13.00 in boots on tablets) told we was going to fly at 9 am but got another delay we ended up taking of at 10.30 so don't think I will book with Thomas cook again as I have heard they delayed a lot of flights this year I believe if they want to keep business they should reward vouchers of a few hundred pound of of there customers holidays for the next year or loose custom as it totally ruined our holiday
We was offered full inclusive in another hotel but had to sleep at another hotel when we was out all day with our family so wasn't any good for us x

After a 3.5hr delay we arrived at the Odessa hotel to find the room we were given was totally inadequate to the room we expected, ground floor looking out to a gas t
ank, however after complaining we were moved to the neighbouring hotel Tssokos Beach, this hotel was superb and we were upgraded from HB to Al in both hotels but we stayed at the Tssokos Beach for the whole period as the rooms , food and hotel were first class.
The holiday could have been improved if more care and attention had been given to the booking requirements as the Odessa was clearly overbooked.
The manager of the Odessa could not be faulted as she sorted the problem out immediately and to our satisfaction, we would stay at the Tssokas Beach again but NOT the Odessa.
The entertainement at the Tssokos Beach with Malki and Leane was excellent they provoded first class entertainment well done.

We Stayed at the Odessa Hotel which was recommended by the travel agent as a good 4* all inclusive accomodation on arrival the reception area was very clean but behi
nd the scene the hotel is tired looking we were given a room which was on floor 1 it had a really bad smell of damp and the walls were soaking wet this was really not what we expected for a 4* accomodation, We immediatly complained and was moved to another room on the 3rd floor. This room was much better however the patio doors were broken and we had to get the maintenace man to repair it on two occaissions , Overall the hotel should not be sold as 4* we have lots of holidays in diffrent countries and always stay in 4* or above accomodation and this is at best the lowest standard of 4* we have seen. The staff are very pleasent and helpful the entainment staff do the best the can and the food was good .
I would reccomend cyprus and protaras as a good holiday resort but would not reccommend the hotel as a 4* only as a 3*

Just arrived back from a wonderful holiday at the odessa hotel in Cyprus. Travelled with our teenage son and his sister who was due to celebrate her 21st birthday on
holiday. Hotel in a beautiful location only yards from the sea. The entertainment team and staff were great fun and full of local knowledge. Hotel rooms were modern and the beds huge and very comfortable, no need to take beach or swim towels if you are all-inclusive as they are provided fresh everyday! Dinner wear in the evening originally was supposed to be trousers but because of the heat smart shorts were acceptable, a relief for my son. The hotel was a very relaxed environment, although there was plenty going on in Protarus only a few yards away. Best of both worlds!

My family and i stayed at the Rising Star hotel/apartments in protaras, the hotel was clean, rooms were ok, could do with a make over, but this would probably put th
e price up, for what we paid it was good. The resort was great, very busy for end of july we have been going to protaras for the last 20years and found that it is getting more like ayia napa which is ok if you are younger, we usually go around may time and it is a bit quieter. overall it was lovely weather can't go wrong when the sun is shining. friendly staff at the hotel, the air conditioning was a bit poor, as it was really hot, we had a room at the back and it was nice, the rooms were spacious but not a lot of wardrobe space for 2adults and teenager. We would go back to the Rising Star as was good value for money and the location was great, so close to the beach.

I actually stayed at Constantinos the Great Beach Hotel (this wasnt in your slection list)
We have holidayed at this hotel twice a year since 2001!
The Hotel is in
need of refurbishment although the staff cannot do enough for you, the food is really good. Unfortunately the entertainment is practically non existant. The entertainment team would be OK with a Kids Club but the evening is extremely poor. This is a new Company this year and they are poor.
Our flights both ways were on time my only comment would be that I am sure the space between rows is decreasing it was very cramped and people were commenting on this.
The Rep in resort was a pleasant hard working girl. Always where she should have been and on time!
She proved very popular with my grown up grandchildren.
We are returning on the 4th September this year and already looking forward to it.

Stayed here for one week. Arrived after Midnight. Room had tea/coffee making facilities but no bottled water to make anything with. No bottled water provided for All
inclusive guests, no fridge stocked.Water was only available only by the glass or from a machine in the restaurant or gym. Very little evening entertainment at the hotel -bingo and quizzes, one night four dancers. The bar staff however were excellent. However the resort had numerous bars with live acts and karaoke The hotel food was very good, with plenty of choice. The Flamingo beach was very clean but access from the hotel via building site and unfinished promenade. The short walk to Fg Tree Bay well worth it, very picturesque.
The return flight was very cramped, very short on legroom which was made worse by inconsiderate passengers in front of us who reclined their seats back as far as possible.
On the whole we had a very relaxing week.

The Odessa Hotel is in a great location in the heart of Potaras, the rooms were very good and the beds very comfy. the reception staff were efficent we had a problem
getting into the safe in the room and having reported it, someone came to assist us within 10 minutes. The food was very good most of the time although if you wanted just plain salad there was not much choice in the area. the bar staff were great and friendly. Although the evening entertainment was poor the first week this been due to it been the start of the season, the second week was much better, a special mention has to be said for the entertainment team they were excellent and so friendly that went out of there way to talk to everbody.

l relaxing holiday, the staff were great and nothing was to much trouble, the food was exellent and varied, the relaxed atmosphere was what we was looking for and only a short stroll to the beach, the accomadation was clean with the cleaners in every day and we heard that they are refurbishing the hotel even further this winter,we are looking to go back to this hotel in 2011 and would reccomend it to anyone,so much so that more of our family are going with us in 2011,

A great location. Beach wonderful for kids.
Comfortable hotel, good food & service. Room cleaned everyday to a high standard. Evening meal a bit late as we have a 20
month old, but we managed.
Long wait for lift at times, next time would be on lower level with a young child.
Overall a fab family holiday which we all enjoyed.

Going out, no problems with check in, flight on time, food on plane good. There was a group of people going on a "wedding" holiday one member of the group had to muc
h to drink before boarding and kept drinking on the six hour flight. I found this very upsetting as his language was colourful especially with children on board. When the aircraft was about to land, he decided to go on a walkabout which in my opinion reduced the safety of the aircraft. He should not have been given drink on the aircraft. Getting to the hotel was delayed, the drunk needed the coach to stop so he could go to the toilet then again to be sick.
The resort and hotel were brilliant, staff were exceptional, especially reception, such lovely and helpful girls. The food was out of this world piping hot. The hotel was a very short distance to the beach and main strip, a perfect location. No problems with the pool more than enough beds and umberellas, you could get up at lunch time and still get a spot and yes the hotel was full. There were even hammocks such a lovely touch. Thomas Cook rep at the resort was terrific very helpful and knowledgeable. No drunks coming home peaceful flight. Leaving the aircraft at home was a hassel such a lot of steps to climb and the usual long walk to get the cases.

Travelled with Thomas Cook. Both flights spot on time.
On arrival at the hotel,we were greeted by a member of their staff and was given a complimentary ice cold drink
.The staff in the reception were extremely friendly and booking in went very smoothly.
We were given a room on the 4th floor which had a gorgeous view out to see. The room had recently been refurbished and was clean and bright.
The food throughout our stay was of a good quality with plenty of variety. My wife is a vegetarian and had a choice of meals to choose from which was booked daily at reception.
We went half board but all inclusive is available if required.Drinks can be fairly expensive in the hotel but there are numerous supermarkets nearby where drinks can be bought for a fraction of the price.
There are plenty of sunbeds around the pool area but if you require a prime spot you need to be up by 6 to claim one as a number of holidaymakers decided to claim their beds by putting there towels on them through the night before going to bed(all british holidaymakers)!
The weather was incredibly hot with temperatures going into the high 40,s
Drinks and food in the bars and restaurants are very reasonably priced with a pint of lager costing 2 euros and a nice meal costing between 7 and 12 euros per head. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.
All in all,we had a nice holiday and would recommend protaras and the Odessa hotel as a nice place to stay

From start to finish all went so smoothly Thomas cook flight was very friendly even when we hit some turbulance due to three thunder storms the Pilot had a sense of
humour and kept us informed and the rest of the crew was so relaxed and friendly. The Odessa Hotel again was well run very clean and friendly their was a good choice of food.I had one small problem they like you to wear trousers and shoes for dinner but I had failed to see that when booking online, but again no problem they was ok with smart casual. The Odessa is situated a stone throw away from the beach and a two minute walk to the main street where you will find various bars for young or old.The only dissapointment we had was entertainment in the hotel was mainly for children and adults who like competitions but entertainment staff work very hard during the day doing pool sports but as I said you didn't have to go far for nightlife.

Excellent location, right next to the beach and in the main centre of Protaras, with all its bars, restaurants and shops.
Clear water stretches all the way down the
beach, best sea that I have seen yet.
Staff at the Odessa are really friendly and will help you with any problem that you have. Rooms are clean and tidy.
Food is ok if you like a mixture of new things, but the only problem was that they didnt have any greek food on the menu all week in the evenings.
It could do with a larger swimming pool because when the pool activities are taking place, there wasnt much room to swim about and the gym could do with more equipment.
Our Thomas cook representatives were brilliant, so if you have any problems they will be there to give you help.
Overall I did enjoy my stay at the Odessa and loved Protaras, best resort on the island, as you wont be bored.

the odessa was very well situated, near beach bars etc, we stayed half board which the food yes similar ever night, but of very good standard and plenty off it, my f
riend was vegetarian, but there was a choice of 7 meals that could be pre-ordered by 12 noon that day for evening meal, which manager brought to table when meal was required, this was great service for her. room was very comfortable, memory foam matress!!!! huge balcony area, we had problem with shower but handyman had it fixed in 30mins, i thought staff very helpfull, and manager very friendly and efficient. We went out every night so cant comment on entertainment, as plenty bars with tribute bands on near bye. Day time entertainment also but we just wanted to lie in sun. Gorgeous Fig tree Bay only 10mins walk away and well worth visit. We were in protaras 5 yrs ago and i would say its got busier, but its as loud or quiet as you wanted, think maybe try B+B or self catering, as plenty nice eating places around, not that we ate out, but from past experience.
Hotel has massages available, gym etc not that we used facilties, oh you get providedwith beach towels, so that saves on luggage allowance!!! On kettle and tea+coffee provided in room, safe and fridge payable, but free air con(provided you shut balcony doors)
All in all i would recommend Odessa, and would stay again, ok maybe not as posh as maybe i thought it would be, but clean, tidy with good food, so all in all worth a stay, i heard people that had been many years so that speaks volumes!!!
As far as food, i was on diet but always fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, dounuts, pastries, full cooked b/fast, waffles for b/fast, we only had lunch once as got voucher as missed 1st nights meal, but salad, hot food, bread etc, and night time, soup, salad bars, hot selection of meats pasta potatoes veg, cavery all off good standard, fruit and puddings, oh and ice-cream so plenty for most tastes!!!

Brilliant hotel, fantastic food and plenty to choose from. Staff in hotel all helpful. The beaches are great and plenty of watersports to do. Water park in Ayia napa
worth a visit. Weather is great in May. The only complaint we had was that the all inclusive finished at 2pm on departure day and we didnt leave hotel till 9 to fly back so had to go and find somewhere else to eat for tea, otherwise we will definitely go back next year.

We stayed in the Odessa Hotel four years ago and, although at our age we prefer to visit different places, the offer from Thomas Cook was too good to pass up. We fou
nd the hotel much improved but with the same great food. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly although they were mostly Eastern European. We were given a plate of fruit and half bottle of wine on arrival. The resort has also improved since our last visit with less tribute bars and more tea shops and bakers selling filled rolls etc. for lunch. In fact the Victoria Bar at the Odessa is shortly becoming a Costa Coffee. A new walkway by the sea to Pernera has been built with lots of little restaurants along its length. I can thoroughly recommend the hotel and resort to any age group.

The hotel was in an excellent position in Protaras. The odessa hotel was very clean and comfortable and all the staff were very polite and helpful. The pool area was c
lean and well kept but many of the tiles around the pool were cracked or broken and very slippy when coming out of the water. Also some of the umbrellas were very old and many were poorly maintained resulting in them breaking off during heavy winds. The dining rooms were very clean and well kept.At lunchtime however the plates were never warm when required for a hot meal! The food choice was plenty although the deserts were very monotonous with little choice.
The bedroom was very good , cleaned every day with linen change frequently. In the bathroom I would recommend a non slip mat in the bath and also on the bathroom floor.A grab rail should also be fixed on the wall for use when showering. I had a few encounters when getting out of the shower onto a very slippy tiled floor.
I thought the entertainment on a night was very poor. For a hotel of this quality and size I expected there to be professional acts on maybe 2 or 3 times a week.Unfortunately the only entertainment on a night was done by the young people who organised games etc around the pool in the daytime. The hotel was very busy whilst I stayed but at night the bar areas were quite empty because of the lack of entertainment.
Inspite of my review I enjoyed my stay at the Odessa and would return again and recommend it to my friends and family.

The Odessa Hotel is every bit as good as it was when we visited 4 years ago. The food is excellent and the situation could not be better. The beach outside Constinos
the Great is much better since we were last here. This hotel is suitable for all ages. The resort has improved a good deal and a walkway by the sea has been constructed. The trips are much the same price with the rep. as in the local agencies which charge 3% for using a credit card. The Victoria Bar is becoming a Costa Coffee and there are now some lovely bakeries.
