loved coral bay but this hotel certainly not a 4* hotel, the hotel nice and clean but the variety of food was poor and the restaurant was more like a canteen, would go
to coral bay again but not to aquasol village.

I would not recommend this hotel if you like your food to be hot, tasty, or different to the day before. The food is cooked to a mush, its cold by the time you get t
o your table, if you like soup to start, you end up at the back of the queue for ages to get your main. This system needs a very big long overhaul to get it sorted for guests. The rooms are adequate, but very tired. WE had no view from our outside area, only the wall of the toilets to the new water slide area. Hotel needs more sun loungers for guests, we had to drag two off the beach to lie on, hotel needs to be honest about the beach area, its not possible to enter the water from this hotel. Entertainment leaves a lot to be desired. Staff try hard, but, they can only work with what they have. Will not be going back.

Clean freindly hotel. Rooms needed updated a bit but overall a great holiday

We booked a hoiliday at the last minute to Aquasol Village in Coral Bay Paphos. We were originally looking to just have a quiet week in the Lake District - but a dre
adful weather forecast made us reconsider. We wanted to go all inclusive and somewhere warm. A few days trawling various websites and we came across this holiday to Cyprus - the general ratings of the complex looked good - so we booked it.
My wife then started finding all sorts of negative comments on Trip Adviser and grew concerned that we would not have a good time. The comments on Trip Adviser were unbalanced with a negative slant - the complex and pool facilities were great - and suited us we just wanted to relax. there was a small water park on the site which was great and would have been brilliant for families.
All the staff were helpful and pleasant and Rachael from animations was charming and entertaining
The food and drink were fine - it wasn't a la carte but it never purported to be - we were certainly not hungry and the food was healthly and varied - both myself and my wife enjoy our food.
The accommodation was very comfortable but a little dated - everything was clean and kept clean.
I would recommend the Aquasol village to friends - quite what it would be like in school holidays I don't know - but in first weeks of September it was great.
the rating was 4* and I think in relation to the pool area and complex this is a fair rating - the food and accommodation may have been closer to my english perception of 3* (very good) than 4*(top notch)
I would go back again

We enjoyed are stay at The Aquasol Village because of being on the beach, the rooms were clean although very basic. We didn't enjoy the food in the food hall, we jus
t ate at the snack bar then at night we would eat out. We enjoyed the waterslides and the pool facilities. I would return back to this hotel but do hope they improve the food and lights are needed desperately on the road leading to hotel, it wouldn't feel safe walking alone when dark (pitch black).

Thomas Cook Airplane has the most cramped seating I have ever experienced, even ryanair has a good 2 or 3 inches more, and they have absolutely no in-flight entertai
nment either. Not really good enough on a 5 hour flight to Cyprus!
Aquasol holiday village was clean, well presented and had an excellent water park with a lazy river and 4 different slides for adults. The apartments themselves were not as modern as I would have liked but were spacious and comfortable.
We were on an all inclusive package and I have to say this is an area that could be improved upon. During the day there is a snack bar offering a range of burgers, baked potatos, pork giros etc and to be honest this was a saviour for us as we found the evening meals to be unappealing, bland and very repetative. I like to think I will eat most things and am not really fussy however even I couldn't stomach the restaurant food after the second evening. Breakfasts were also lacking and again, we avoided this from the second day onwards.
My biggest issue with the AI package was the serving of soft drinks in the tiniest of plastic cups. We had to continually go backwards and forwards to the bar to get soft drinks as a result and no matter how many times we asked they would not allow us the larger containers. Considering there was a
leaflet in the apartment detailing Aquasol Holiday Village's commitment to reducing plastic waste and other environmental issues surely they would be better to serve drinks in larger containers thus reducing the amount of plastic wasted!
We found the staff to be polite, helpful ( and overworked too ) and the animation team provided onsite entertainment every night except on Sundays.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here, we met lots of very nice people and would go back again. The only thing I would do differently is budget for eating out most evenings.

The hotel is 5 min walk from the main street in Coral Bay. It is at the bottom of a steep – though short – hill, which is very poorly lit at night. The hill isn't re
ally a problem but would be difficult with a walking stick, & near unmanageable if pushing a wheelchair. Coaches (from airport transfers, day trips, etc.) stop at the top of the hill – which means that you have to drag cases up the hill when getting the coach back to the airport for departure. Coral Bay is a nice little place, lots of bars, restaurants, convenience stores, etc., & there is a nice beach at the end of the main street.
The apartments are set over quite a large area, with pretty little paths that lead to the accommodations. The hotel has a large lobby area, a large dining room, a big terrace where the evening entertainment takes place, a small shallow pool for toddlers, a big swimming pool, a water park with 4 fairly big slides & a lovely lazy river. The hotel is on the beach but it is rock & shingle & so is not really fit for much; the rocks are slippery so it is difficult to get in the sea here.
We stayed in a studio apartment. It was very spacious with all the amenities that you would expect. Excellent air-conditioning unit & the balcony was big with a table & chairs. However, the room was very tired & the decor very dated. This hotel is promoted as 4* on the Thomas Cook website, but it is 3* at best. On arrival I was very disappointed & a little upset that we had paid a fair amount of money for a room that was not very pretty or very modern. But the room did have everything that we needed, & more space than usual.
There are 3 bars, a dining room which serves breakfast (7.30-10am), lunch (12.30-2.30pm) & dinner (7.30-9.45pm) & a snack bar where food (burgers, chips, etc.) is available from 10am-6pm. AI drinks were served until 11.50pm, but you can pay for drinks until 1am. The food served at meal times was fine, slightly repetitive, but well cooked & there was plenty of it.
Rachel, Steph & Adam do a good job of keeping children entertained. There’s a children's disco each night & then various events in the evening for adults (music quiz, bingo, disco, karaoke, etc.). There is something on each night, & the entertainment usually lasts till about 11.30pm.
The Rep, Nick, was great. Really helpful & friendly, very knowledgeable & visible. The hotel staff work very long hours & generally they were very nice. However, the reception staff were not very helpful, bordering on rude at times.
We had a very nice week here, & the water park was a really nice feature - peaceful for sunbathing & nice to have the lazy river to pop in to when it gets too hot. This is a relaxed environment for a nice break, but this is not a 4* hotel. We did have a very nice time, & we came home very relaxed, but if we were to return to Coral Bay we would stay elsewhere.

Definitely not value for money. Booked as a 4 Star but it was only an official 3 Star and services and facilities reflected that. Sleeping 4 (3 adults and an 11 year
old) was definitely not ideal in the same room, with 1 of them sleeping on the floor! We were supposed to have a camp bed but this never came! We have written complaining and await a reply. Childrens games facilities were outside and out of order and the entertainment was poor to say the least .Approximately 30 people queueing up for a meal every evening which took about 20 mins to get food was not what we paid for and certainly not for the price of the holiday we paid. If you fancy a kids tea party dessert of Jelly, Ice Cream and Melon every meal then this is the place for you.The Thomas Cook representative said it was a 4 Star due to the WATERPARK and truly that is the only 4 Star thing about it. We feel that this holiday was misrepresented on the website. We have only ever stayed 4 Star before and always been satisfied so would never have booked it if we knew it was an official 3 Star.

Aquasol Village, what can i say.
When you arrive you are required to carry your own luggage down a rather steep hill as the coach can not drive down it, this also a
pplies when you leave you have to carry it up again.
Nickname of this hill is Cardiac Hill.
Let start with rubbish food, outdated rooms.
We stayed here as all inclusive so all drinks and meals were free except for the slush puppies 2.80 euros.
Food in the restaraunt was poor, not even a wiff of traditional greek food, apparently because when this was on the menu a week before we arrived all the english guests complained there wasnt enough english food (what no curry).
I have never in all my life seen hordes of people scoff chips for breakfast, probably why most guests had a serious weight problem.
Rooms badly need updating, its like walking into a room from the 1970`s.
You had to pay 5 euro deposit for the safe and a further 1.70 euros per day to use it.
There was also a 10 euro deposit required if you wanted a tv remote.
Towels were an issue, this was the first resort i have been too where pool towels are not provided, you had to use towels from your room.
There were not enough sun loungers for the amount of guests they had, extra loungers were brought in due to many complaints.
Outside eating area near the pool was ok for a snack with food cooked fresh, it was edible.
most guests who were from Greece or Cyprus felt this area was ok to lounge all day in and swan off leaving there belongings at the table, so if you wanted to eat at a certain time you had to wait for someone to leave before getting a table, the problems started when non Cypriots tried this and as soon as they left the table their belongings were quickly removed.
Be prepared, if you want a day by the pool in a sun lounger set your alarm for 4.am as this seems to be the time most guests get up to claim them.
Also watch in disbelief as the small waterpark which opens at 10am gets people queing at 9.am, then theres a stampede as people try to claim the remaining loungers (if you were one of the people i did have a laugh at your expense).
Inflatable rings for the lazy river and one of the slides were provided by the hotel, but we didnt realise this until week 2 when we realised guests were taking rings and keeping them for themselves even when not using them.
Overall this holiday was rubbish.
Nice country, nice people, great weather, Thomas Cook rep Nick was fantastic.
Let down by poor food and accommodation.

I thought a 4-star hotel would supply towels for their pool areas, particularly since the waterpark is this hotel's main attraction, but I was sadly mistaken. If you
are lucky enough to find a sunbed that hasn't already had a towel put on it at 6am, you will need your own beach towel as the hotel does not supply them.
The food at this hotel is fantastic - lots of selection although not particularly representative of the traditional cypriot/greek cuisine. However, we had to spend a long time waiting in the queue to get our food due to the badly thought-out system in place in the restaurant.
The animation programme in the evenings is very repetitive and very loud. If you don't want to partake in the karaoke evening then you will find it difficult to be out of earshot of the terrible noise that goes on until after midnight.
The hotel staff are all very hard-working and efficient although not particularly friendly.
The beach at the hotel is rocky and looks like a building site. There are no snorkling opportunities in the area. The best we found was at Coralia beach, about a 20 minute walk away, where we saw about 10 fish altogether. Sunbeds at Coralia beach are available but you have to pay 3 euros each for the day.
Overall, the weather was fantastic but I didn't feel that I had experienced much of the cypriot culture as everything is still very British - driving on the left, signs in English, even the power sockets are our 3-pin plug system.
Glad I went but won't be going back.

er and over i was disappointed that there wernt more desserts just 1 normally with fruit and ice cream, and the breakkfast was the same everyday. the snack bar was nice for lunch, quite good choice. the staff were lovely very friendlly.overall it was good holiday, very good for kids in the water park. i would go all inclusive as food and drink is expensive outsiide. if you want a no frills holiday at a budget price its ok go for it .it was my husbands birthday and our anniversary while we were there and fruit and wine was left in our room we didnt ask for it, so it was a very nice gesture. thank you AQUASOL

We were slightly disappointed with this hotel but to be fair it is pretty good value for money compared to other all inclusive hotels that we have visited in Cyprus
even if there are a few things they need to work on.
Generally the hotel is fine and you won't have any issues unless you are the type that seems to find fault in everything and then lets it completely spoil the trip.
Here are the good bits:
The on-site waterpark is excellent for kids (and adults) and keeps them occupied
The location is quiet
The air conditioning in the rooms is good
It's clean
The food is ok but a little repetitive
There are shops and other restaurants a short walk away (if required) although it is up quite a steep hill
Here are the bad bits:
Constantly having to wait in long queues for food or drinks (they really need more staff)
The sunbeds seem to get reserved at some point between midnight and 4am - it can be a struggle to find any even at 6am
If you want to get a sunbed in the waterpark which doesn't open until 10am and you will need to queue very early
The entertainment certainly wasn't up to much and quite often started very late
No bottled water available on all inclusive - clean drinking water was available but not very useful if you wanted some water in the room - you need to buy bottles from the local or hotel shop
No proper beach
To summarise the place is fine if a little unrefined but good value for money - if you are the type that picks up on the detail and ie expecting 4 star standards you may get annoyed - generally the positives outweigh the negatives!

Fantastic time had by our family at the Aquasol village coral bay. The hotel was excellent with great facilities and great food however the staff at the hotel made i
t an absolutely excellent holiday, they could not have been nicer and more happy to please. The chef and restraunt manager in particular were exceptionally friendly, the bar staff were lovely and of course the mad entertainment team kept everyone happy and included. (glad the bar staff were so good as the alcohol they served was indistinguishable from the childrens drinks!)
Overall an excellent holiday with a top team - our thanks to all including Nick(Rep)the worlds only blonde cypriot

Fantastic place if you like the remoteness and just want a chillaxing holiday. Not much to do around the hotel. Hotel itself is great, nice spacious accommodation, e
ntertainment (hotels own) team do their best. Plenty of food choice. As before, if you want a real relaxing time where the days seem to last an eternity then you can't go wrong with the Aquasol.

We visited the Aqua Sol in September 2000 and was impressed then. With the addition of the water park and all inclusive we thought it would be ideal for our 18 month
old grandson. Thomas Cook flight, although on time and with improved in flight meals, the leg room is appalling. While I didnt expect a massive amount, sitting a toddler on your knee in such cramped conditions is a real let down and compared to other airlines Thomas Cook is one of the worst i have experienced. Having said that, the Aqua Sol did not fail us at all. Arriving at 2 am to find sandwiches and water waiting was a nice surprise after a speedy check in. The room was big and there was a kettle and fridge which with a little one was a bonus. The food was good although there is room for improvement in the evening meals especially the desserts which were not good. The all inclusive bar snacks were nice and fresh and the waiter service was appreciated. Evening entertainment was varied and good and not a plastic cup in site which is always nice. The water park was fantastic for all ages and being able to sunbathe in there meant no shortage of sunbeds. There is a hill to walk up but if my 18 month old grandson can do it, anyone can. All in all excellent value for money and we would not hesitate to return.

We were really nervous about this holiday after reading bad reviews on trip advisor and such like, however i do believe only those who have something to complain abo
ut tend to write reviews so i was sceptical.
In our opinion the hotel was great, very clean, friendly staff who couldnt do enough for you, entertainment staff who tried very hard and the waterpark for the kids was fantastic.
We were all inclusive and were surprised when we realised we got drinks in full size glasses!! very unusual for budget all inclusive, there was plenty of choice and cocktails using locallly sourced spririts were included within the all inclusive package.
The snack bar by the pool is again very clean and has plenty of choice, such as toasties, burgers, kebabs, fisg, chicken, jacket potatoes, the food is cooked to order rather than been left out all day. Ice cream is also free on all inclusive.
Breakfast in the restautrant was brilliant, lots of choice.... full english, continental, cereals etc. I actually never had lunch in there as we really liked the snack bar but the evening meals were also very good.
The restaurnat manager and hotel management were constantly asking guests what they did and didnt like and what they would like to see on the menu and to our surprise any suggestions were tried out asap. For example s carvery night was suggested which then occurred the following evening!!
Coral Bay is on the expensive side but very nice, you can catch a bus from Coral Bay into Paphos which takes around 20 minutes and they are very regular. The bus is 2 euro for an adult day ticket and kids are free. paphos is much cheaper and there are some lovely restaurants.
All in all a very enjoyable holiday and we have no complainsn at all, 6 of us travelled with two 11 years olds and no one ever struggles with food, drink or having nothing to do. I would reccommend this hotel and would happily visit again myself.

we booked through thomas cook but ended up with travel documents from olympia travel, which thomas cook forgot to inform us. when we arrived at the airport we tried
to book in at the thomas cook desk where we queued for an hour, only to be told we had to go downstairs and book in with a cypriot travel rep, we was then told we would be delayed for over an hour. however it was a good flight. we then arrived at larnaca airport where we discovered we had a 3 hour transfer too, yet again we was not informed that they no longer fly into paphos which is a half hour transfer. although we did enjoy our holiday we found it to be very expensive. the hotel staff couldnt do enough for you. On our return journey we had another 1 n a half hour delay. we were told by other holday cou[les that olympia are known for delays. when a booked i thought it was with thomas cook and this has regretfully put me off booking with them again.

This resort is in drastic need of a complete refurbishment. The rooms are tidy but the decor is very dated and tired. Our bathroom ceiling leaked from the room above
. Plus it is at the bottom of a steep hill which the locals laughingly called "cardiac hill". When telling taxi drivers where we were staying, they just laughed! Staff are helpful, but don't seem to smile, this could be from the fact that they work every day without a day off (we were there for 14 days)! We were not told when checking in that you need to leave a 15euro deposit for the remote control for the air conditioning. It seems you need to leave a deposit at reception for anything your need. Will not be staying at this resort again the next time we go to Cyprus!!!
