Wonderful relaxing holiday in paradise!
We travelled late July, group of 11 inc teens, twenty somethings and forties. There are 2 beaches - both stunning. The men fished off "the rock" on one of them. The food was v good, plenty of variety. Rooms were large, modern and clean all with a great view. Lovely gardens and walkways. The staff are FANTASTIC! Such lovely, warm and genuine people.Make sure you do the speedboat trip and get on the bus to Pilar Beach - Its out of this world. The Cayo's are isolated with only the AI hotels on them, not a bad thing in my opinion but if you fancy a walk to the shops and bars in the evening then you'll be dissapointed. If you want a relaxing holiday knowing the kids are perfectly safe then this is for you. I would def go back.

good and not so good.
Came back two weeks ago from staying at sol Cayo coco this is the third time that we have visited the cayo islands, stayed at sol Cayo Guillermo twice before.
Lovely location Wonderful staff. however the hotel was very tired and could do with a refurbishment. The rooms were tired and shower not good. Had trouble getting beech towels on arrival we were unable to go for a swim for a few hours as no towels available. Service very good, food in buffet could have been a lot better, saying that, good food at beech bar.Went on a day visit back to sol cayo Guillermo and had regrets we didn't go back there in the first place it was a much nicer hotel. Will not go back to this hotel would hope to return to Cuba in the future.

This hotel lived up to our expectations and beyond. After reading some of the reviews on this hotel we were a bit worried, and yes our first room was tired looking, so we decided to ask if we could upgrade to a room with a view, and boy what a view, I laid in bed and looked out over palm trees and a turquise ocean what more could you want. The food was plentiful and loads of choice, it was also very tasety, staff were very attentive and no matter what you asked for they did their best to make sure you got it. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone people came from the sister hotel and said how much nicer to Sol was.

This was our second stay at the Sol and just love it and will go back again. The staff all very friendly and cant do enough for you. The rooms are basic but adequate air conditioned mini fridge. Food good and plenty of choice fresh fish griddled while you wait stir fries pizas pastas cold meet salad steaks shish kebabs and local dishes. Desserts loads of choice and the all important ice cream. Breakfast choice of fried scrambled boiled and omelettes bacon pancakes and cereals, sausage fresh fruit.
Two great beaches one which is ideal for the kids shallow water and beautiful white sand. Pools warm and clean.. One warning internet very slow and no wi fi.
Playstation and X box room.

Fantastic holiday in the Sol Cayo Coco
This was our second trip to the Sol Cayo Coco and we were not dissapointed. Upon arrival you are greeted by the animation team with a song, dance and refreshing drink. All the staff are extreemly friendly and go out of their way to please.
The entertainment is fantastic and the team are compairable to any west end dance troup. Here at the Sol it is the extra little things which are noticeable and things that you dont tend to find elsewhere. For instance, aside from the nightly shows in the Amphitheatre you will have a singer or musician in both the pool bar and the lobby bar. While we were there a guy dressed as Charlie Chaplin wandered around silently entertaining everyone with his antics.
The rooms are basic but huge and very clean, with bottled water replenished daily. The food is good and you can always find something. The omelette and fresh fish counter where it is cooked to your taste is worth the trouble queuing.
The Sol is right on the beach and you do in fact have a choice of 2 both are exactly as you see in the pictures, white sand a crystal clear water.
We would certainly return to this hotel again and again but unfortunately Thomas Cook have decided not to fly from Gatwick anymore and Manchester is 6 hours away. Its a huge shame and in our opinion a big mistake Thomas Cook!!

Another great holiday
Once again another fantastic time at the Sol, service excellent as usual , rooms cleaned daily we love this hotel hence the reason for going two years running, we have made some excellent friends and the manager is really approachable and is always walking round checking on things and asking if your enjoying your holiday. My 5 year old daughter loved mini club so much we hardly saw her and jumpy is brilliant with the kids they never get bored. The only fault I have is the food was sometimes a little cold but there is always a good variety and the seafood grill is superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with young children it is the first time I have ever left my daughter in kids club on holiday, I trust them immensely and I can't wait to see them all again in the near future.
