Wonderful relaxing holiday in paradise!
We travelled late July, group of 11 inc teens, twenty somethings and forties. There are 2 beaches - both stunning. The men fished off "the rock" on one of them. The food was v good, plenty of variety. Rooms were large, modern and clean all with a great view. Lovely gardens and walkways. The staff are FANTASTIC! Such lovely, warm and genuine people.Make sure you do the speedboat trip and get on the bus to Pilar Beach - Its out of this world. The Cayo's are isolated with only the AI hotels on them, not a bad thing in my opinion but if you fancy a walk to the shops and bars in the evening then you'll be dissapointed. If you want a relaxing holiday knowing the kids are perfectly safe then this is for you. I would def go back.

This was our second stay at the Sol and just love it and will go back again. The staff all very friendly and cant do enough for you. The rooms are basic but adequate air conditioned mini fridge. Food good and plenty of choice fresh fish griddled while you wait stir fries pizas pastas cold meet salad steaks shish kebabs and local dishes. Desserts loads of choice and the all important ice cream. Breakfast choice of fried scrambled boiled and omelettes bacon pancakes and cereals, sausage fresh fruit.
Two great beaches one which is ideal for the kids shallow water and beautiful white sand. Pools warm and clean.. One warning internet very slow and no wi fi.

Fantastic holiday in the Sol Cayo Coco
This was our second trip to the Sol Cayo Coco and we were not dissapointed. Upon arrival you are greeted by the animation team with a song, dance and refreshing drink. All the staff are extreemly friendly and go out of their way to please.
The entertainment is fantastic and the team are compairable to any west end dance troup. Here at the Sol it is the extra little things which are noticeable and things that you dont tend to find elsewhere. For instance, aside from the nightly shows in the Amphitheatre you will have a singer or musician in both the pool bar and the lobby bar. While we were there a guy dressed as Charlie Chaplin wandered around silently entertaining everyone with his antics.
The rooms are basic but huge and very clean, with bottled water replenished daily. The food is good and you can always find something. The omelette and fresh fish counter where it is cooked to your taste is worth the trouble queuing.
The Sol is right on the beach and you do in fact have a choice of 2 both are exactly as you see in the pictures, white sand a crystal clear water.
We would certainly return to this hotel again and again but unfortunately Thomas Cook have decided not to fly from Gatwick anymore and Manchester is 6 hours away. Its a huge shame and in our opinion a big mistake Thomas Cook!!

Another great holiday
Once again another fantastic time at the Sol, service excellent as usual , rooms cleaned daily we love this hotel hence the reason for going two years running, we have made some excellent friends and the manager is really approachable and is always walking round checking on things and asking if your enjoying your holiday. My 5 year old daughter loved mini club so much we hardly saw her and jumpy is brilliant with the kids they never get bored. The only fault I have is the food was sometimes a little cold but there is always a good variety and the seafood grill is superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with young children it is the first time I have ever left my daughter in kids club on holiday, I trust them immensely and I can't wait to see them all again in the near future.

We stayed at the Sol Cayo coco for 2 weeks in January and had a fantastic time. The weather was absolutely beautiful except for 1 day. The hotel was spotlessly clean always someone cleaning everywhere you went. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who are always friendly. The food was of a good standard although after 2 weeks can get a bit monontinous. The pool area was of a good standard and the beaches especially Playa Largo was quite spectacular. If you want a value for money Caribbean holiday then look no further we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would go back again but no longer flying from Gatwick to jardin del reyes airport so this rules it out for us.

Good holiday, fantastic weather, the trips over priced & not as described, Kids club non exststant
we had a lovely holiday in the Sol Cayo Coco, the staff were very kind & helpful, the rooms we had were always kept clean & tidy & the food was excellent, but we had some disappointing areas, which were the kids club was non existent & its not that we wanted to dump the kids but at the age of 8 & 10 they wanted to go off & be alittle independent, instead they were whinning. And the trips were very overpiriced & not as described, the entertainment starts far to late, my 8 year old was always asleep by 8.00 & kids entertainment didn't start until 8.45pm!
If you think you can buy snorkel equipment there think again you need to buy it here they are poor remember that, we tried to get a football but couldn't
