Canada
Overview
Canada is famous for its wild northern frontier and distinctive Royal Mounted Canadian Police. However, there is much, much more to this diverse country than mountains and 'mounties' and its distinct patchwork of peoples make up a unique country that is decidedly different from neighbouring America.
A wild frontierland
Canada is also famous for its excellent choice of ski resorts with consistent snow conditions
and absolutely breath-taking countryside. The resort of Banff is situated right at the heart of a National Park,
so expect amazingly beautiful ski runs among forested mountains and ice-clear blue lakes. All
this and a wonderfully relaxed après-ski scene, saloons and shops. Lake Louise is another world class ski resort
covering 11 square miles and, like Banff, conditions suitable for all abilities. There is a low
key après here with a few night clubs and a handful of bars and restaurants.
An alluring culture
Canada is a country that offers the visitor the opportunity to see a country attached to
America but a million miles away in character and outlook. The scenery, ski conditions and
alluring culture ensure many visitors return here year after year.
