A more appropriate name might have been Condemn de alcudia the room was tiny and the shower was only about 18inches by 18 inches the sattelite tv consisted of news c
hannels the lifts were very small and any more than three people and they would not go. The food was lacking in variety although what there was met a reasonable standard. There was only one bar open and that was at the pool except for saturday when only the inside bar was open due to rain. The entertainment was poor and all drinks were being served in small plastic cups except in the dining room but there was only wine and water available in the restaraunt. I have never had such a bad experience on holiday before and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was nothing whatsoever like the photo in the hotel description and it might make think twice about booking through airtours again. This hotel is also badly in need of modernisation and decoration.

I had heard such bad reviews before i went and was contemplating changing hotels, I decided to go to the Condes De Alcudia, well we had a brilliant time the staff we
re friendly the food was nice ( They seem to like pork as we had it quite often) The pool was nice and we had no trouble getting a sun bed we often went to the beach then came back to the pool. ( The beach was less than 100 yards away across a road) The entertainers Kirsty,Alberto and Liis were great they came around everyday asking if you wanted to join in with games like Archery, Table Tennis etc ( you didn't have to if you didn't want), the evening entertainment were good as well Our room was really nice we were on the first floor, it was cleaned and we had fresh towels everyday our maid were friendly and always said hello every day.
The Thomas Cook rep was okay we didn't see much of him because we did our own thing but he was helpful when we arrived.

We went on a family holiday last year to Alcudia and stayed in the Condes de Alcudia. We had a great time so decided to go back this year. Can't believe the changed
in a year, so disappointed!!!. The entertainment was shocking with nothing at all some days. The evening bar served drinks in plastic beakers (I understand this round the pool during the day but not at night!). The food was still a very good standard but I believe the choice had been reduced, the first five days we were served variations of pork. I would try the condes again in a few years but only because of the location as it is at the quite end of Alcudia near to the Port/Harbour and so close to the beach. Maybe we were just spoiled last year we had a large room with sea view but this year a twin room with bunk beds crammed in and no room for the pushchair plus on arrival at reception they hadn't even got our details (lack of communication with Thomas Cook!).

this was our third time at condes and noticed a big difference in the hotel. our room was very small and the shower measured 2ft by 2ft and my husband is a large man
. the entertainment at night was awful and if you want a brolly at the pool set your alarm for 6am.

Overall the holiday was a good way to unwind. The hotel was all inclusive and was value for money. The food was a bit boring by the end of the week as it was pork or
chicken everyday. But as they say you get what you pay for and it was clean and comforable. The pool was great and you were always able to get a sunbed. The hotel was near to the harbour and the beach was great.

Overall the hotel was ok as regards comfort, facilities etc. The location was good being only a 2 minute walk from the beach. The food was plentiful and varied thoug
h a little bland for my taste.
The rep was ok but I only saw him once at the welcome meeting. The entertainment staff in the hotel were excellent. They were very friendly and polite and really yried hard to make sure people were having a good time. The beach is fantastic. Very good value for money.
THE DOWN SIDE: There were several thefts from guests rooms during my stay. I was lucky and not affected. But please be careful and keep your belongings locked away.

Hotel was in lovely location near to shops and port. Was a typical 3* food average but could always find something you liked so would not go hungry. Security at the
hotel however is a joke every day whilst I was there people were going back to rooms and finding they had been robbed. One couple I spoke to had arrived near the end of lunch serving left their cases in room before unpacking, when they got back to room both cases had been stolen. What a start to a holiday!!!. I rented a safe and did not have any problems myself but still dreaded going back to room after day on the beach. It was not the stress free holiday I had envisaged.

my partner have just got back from alcudia( between 11/09/2010 and 18/09/2010) and had a fantastic time!! The hotel; condes de alcudia is very popular with the briti
sh holiday visitors and is well equipped for the full board travellers. We went for half board and the food was basic but ok, the choice of alcoholic drinks for the paying half board visitors was limited but we frequently went out to the local tavernas which is within 3-5mins from the hotel and so is the beach. Alcudia is a lovely port which has its own character with street entertainers etc. Port formenter via the boat (sea cat mallorca) costs around 26 euro but is well worth the trip to its crystal clear waters and beach. Pollencia just along the coast is another lovely port which is good for snorkeling and also has tavernas and lovely white sandy beaches!! We both had a fantastic holiday, the thomas cook rep for our hotel was fab although we only used him for some guidence etc but refreshing to know reps love there job!! The weather in mallorca was hot at 28 degrees for most of the week. i have to say to get around by the local bus service its cheap at 1.25 euro to go to can picafort or pollencia. This area of mallorca is very pretty and is suitable for families, couples that dont want the the lively hustly bustly holiday and some of the older holiday visitors. we would recommend this holiday and have lots of nice memories. I must also mention that the staff that worked in this hotel were fab and friendly and always worked hard to look after you.

My wife and I have recently returned from a holiday at the Condes de Alcudia, a 3 star hotel very close to the beach about 200metres. The Condes was built in 1959 on
e of the first in the North East of Majorca and is, to be honest, in need of a little bit of freshening up, but new legislation coming into force in 2011 and 2012 we require all hotels to be updated to a higher standard, but don't let distract you from the hotel. When arrived at the hotel the staff at the desk were very welcoming and friendly, the hotel was clean which is always nice to see.
We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks all inclusive from September 24th 2010, and if you are looking for fun packed hectic entertainment then don't book here as it is mainly holiday makers of a mature age. The staff from the Manager to the Handy Man are so friendly and can't do enough to help your holiday better which in our experience isn't always the case. Throughout the day the Hotel entertainers Sara and Wayne were excellent with the activities, and in the evening they were in charge of the entertainment, and in the 2 weeks of our holiday the entertainment was very very good. The food was very good with a wide choice of hot foods and plenty of salad options and of course desserts.....
Overall the holiday was one of the best we have ever had, and would recommend the Condes to our friends.
Overall this holiday has been one of the best we have had and hope to return again soon

We kept reading differing reviews of the Condes de Alcudia before travelling so were a little apprehensive about what we would find. However we shouldn't have worrie
d, the hotel was lovely. We had a room on the 8th floor with a beautiful view of the sea. The room was spacious & clean. Maid service everyday. The food was of a high quality with plenty of choice, if it's not hot enough for you there is a microwave available. All the staff were pleasant. The hotel is in a great location, a short stroll to the beach & within easy reach of shops & bars. The lifts are very small though, will only fit 4 people, but we didn't find them a problem. There are plenty of sunbeds & the pool area gets a good amount of sun from about 10:30. The pool when we were there was quite cold but you soon got used to it.

We stayed at Condes De Alcudia which was a lovely hotel. It was a stones throw away from the beach and was in a quite location. We was half board and the food was lo
vely. They catered for all and they had so much choice. The dining area was not rushed and there were never any queues, bearing in mind we were in peak season, August. The food was always hot. The rooms were also excellent. Air conditioning was included and worked very well. The cleaners came everyday and done a brill job. They were spacious and the bathroom was lovely. Had a bath and a shower which was lovely. The receptionists were very polite! Always helpful. The pool was lovely, although it got quite busy whilst we were there with families but it never bothered us, as we went down to the beach nearly every day, as we were so close to it. The only small downfall was that the lifts were very small and there were only 2 lifts that hold four people each, so can get busy at peak times but this didnt affect us much as we were only on the second floor so we just used the stairs.
Lastly, please note the reason why i rated self catering facilities as one star is because this wasnt applicable as we didnt go self catering so i couldnt rate this.
Alcudia itself was beautiful. A lovely place for families or couples. The beach was gorgeous! The sea was so calm, warm and shallow, which is ideal for kids. There was never no tide! It was a sandy beach and stretched for miles. The old town of Alcudia was also lovely. We went to a lovely vibrant market there during our stay and it was brilliant. You can get some bargains! We went on the local bus and all the drivers were english speaking so we had no problems! Another day, we spent the day at Port Pollencia which is about a 20 min bus ride away and it was also another lovely resort.
The weather was beautiful. We had one day that was overcast/rainy but it never stopped us from going on a boat trip! It was well into it's 30's and we found that the beach was brilliant if you was hot because you had the sea breeze.
Lastly, I would like to thank Thomas Cook for making our trip to Alcudia a wonderful time! The Thomas Cook reps were fantastic. We were met as soon as we come through the airport and directed to what coach we had to get on to take us to our hotel, we had a lovely rep Chris who was based at the hotel and he was helpful and knew a lot of local knowlege, we also had a lovely rep who accompanied us on a pirate theatre trip which we were recommended to by Thomas Cook, and lastly we had another lovely rep who accompanied us on our transfer back to the airport for our flight home. Even on our inward and outward bound flights, we had brilliant service by Thomas Cook. This isn't our first holiday with Thomas Cook - we have booked/travelled with them once before and again they are brilliant!

My partner, 31 and I, 23, stayed in the Condes de Alcudia for 11 nights from 6th - 17th July 2010, on a half board basis - which was really good value for money, but
we wished we would of gone all inclusive because of the cost of the drinks were expensive, but they do give you the option to upgrade to all in.
The food was average quality -but they did offer a nice choice of deserts and salads. It was in a buffet style. The breakfast on offer was: full english, cereals and yogurts, and for eavening meal on offer - soup for starter, meats, chips, vegetables, salads, rice, pasta,a vegetarian dish and a childrens menu.
The location of the hotel was close to everything, 2 minutes from the beach and a strip of bars, restraunts and shops right on the doorstep- but there were not many bars, mostly restrants and shops, which was why we ended up in the hotel most nights. The hotel entertainment was great for kids and anyone who likes a game of bingo- not really our thing but we expected it from hotel entertainment, we thought there might of been a bit more bars around. we don't go clubbing but we like to have a drink!
The hotel staff/ cleaners and entertainment team were all really friendly. Our room was clean when we arrived, the cleaner came in everyday and gave us clean towels, toilet roll and sweapt up. They changed the bedding twice a week. Our room did include airconditioning but it was not the best air con system i have had, it was very weak (but better than nothing).
we never went down to the pool of a day, when we got to the hotel we were told there were not enough sun loungers for everyone an the pool was small - with the beach on the doorstep we didn't bother fighting for the beds.
Overall we had a great time and i would say this is a great budget holiday for families and bingo lovers!

The hotel is in a very good location just across the road from the wonderful beach. The food is plentiful and good quality for an all inclusive. Local drinks are fin
e with San Migel on tap and local vodka quite acceptable.
Entertainment team do their best but will not be everyone's cup of tea. Children appear well catered for and the resort felt calm and safe for wee ones.
Only lacking a decent sized lift, but we kept fit by using stairs at busy times.
