At the end of July the Princess set off from New York’s Big Apple on a 38 night world cruise, stopping at Antigua and Curacao, before sailing the Panama Canal. The next stops are Costa Rica, Los Angeles, and the Hawaiian islands of Hilo, Honolulu and Nawiliwili, before the ship finally takes a rest to spend five days at sea. In August, the Sea Princess reaches Pago Pago in American Samoa before crossing the International Date Line on her way to Suva, Fiji. During the final leg of her journey, she visits Auckland and Bay of Islands in New Zealand before heading to Sydney. Australia becomes The Sea Princesses’ new home country for the next 9 months, embarking on a number of breath-taking Australian and Pacific cruises.
Come May, the Sea Princess splits her time between San Francisco and the more familiar waters of the Pacific, offering a mix of USA and Asian cruises. The Inside Passage sees The Sea Princess sets sail from San Francisco, sailing through the Alaskan ports of Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Glacier Bay. The Sea Princess is a spacious luxury cruiser and the third of the sun class group, which include sister ships Sun Princess and Dawn Princess. The ship has a total of 101 rooms; 410 have a private balcony and 193 offer ocean views. Even at full capacity she offers a crew ratio of one to 2.6 passengers, promising a great level of service at all times. Passengers can expect tastefully decorated cabins throughout with a clean white finish, resulting in a light and airy feel.
Whilst onboard, expect to enjoy a diverse range of delicious, fresh food, available from a number of dining locations. The two main restaurants, Rigoletto on Deck 5 and La Traviata on Deck 6 are both elegant in style and attractively presented with red and gold for a sophisticated finish. Cafe Corniche and the Sterling Steak House are alternative dining venues for those opting for a less traditional cruise dining experience. Out on deck, passengers can enjoy burgers and hot dogs from the Riviera Grill or some truly guilty pleasures from Sundaes ice cream parlour.
