Aaah - Stretch Out On Your Long Haul Summer Holiday Flight: Thomas Cook Airlines increases legroom to all long haul destinations

Customers travelling to long haul destinations in the economy section with Thomas Cook Airlines from May will enjoy at least an extra three inches of legroom, as the airline increases the gap between seats to 33 inches.

As well as more space, the airline's seven Airbus A330-200 aircraft that serve Thomas Cook's 12 long haul destinations, such as India, Mexico and Cuba, will have leather seats installed throughout each airplane. The Airline's Boeing 757 aircraft operating on long haul routes to Canada will also have leather seating and a massive 35 inches of legroom.

Frank Pullman, managing director at Thomas Cook Airlines, said: "One of our primary aims is to offer our customers a flight that is as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. The increased seat spacing will enable our customers to stretch out that little bit further, which will be invaluable on long haul flights."

In total, the Thomas Cook Airlines fleet includes 42 aircraft, including 22 Airbus aircraft and 20 Boeing planes. This summer, the leading tour operator will cater for 2.9 million passengers, who will be flown 50 million miles by more than 600 pilots to 78 destinations. They will be served by nearly 2,000 cabin crew over 125,000 flying hours.
