It's Showtime: Thomas Cook launches direct flights from Belfast Airport to Las Vegas
It's showtime for the people of Belfast as Thomas Cook launches direct flights from the International Airport to the entertainment capital of the world that is Las Vegas. Whether you'd like to bag some bargains, fancy your chances in the casinos, want to tie the knot or be wowed by a dazzling show, from 12th March, Las Vegas will now only be an approximate 10 hour direct flight from the city. After the inaugural March flight, a weekly service will be offered from 29th June to 20th July. After this initial period, Thomas Cook is hopeful that the flight will be introduced into its programme for summer 2009.
Frank Pullman, managing director of Thomas Cook Airlines said: "We constantly strive to offer variety and convenience to our customers. The introduction of the Belfast to Las Vegas route this year will enable us to review whether there is a demand for direct flights to this part of the US."
Thomas Cook Airlines already services the Las Vegas route from Manchester and Glasgow. In May, the flights will operate on the Thomas Cook A330 airplane, which will have the increased seat pitch of 33 inches of legroom for all economy passengers, and seatback in-flight entertainment.
